- "When trying to justify the addition of criticism, please don't emphasize that it's factual and sourced. That is not the issue. Being factual and sourced is NEVER enough to justify adding anything to an article. Just stick to trying to convince us that's it due. HiLo48 (talk)"
- "Here on Wikipedia, it's OK to be an idiot or do something stupid as long as you are willing to take responsibility and own up to it when you are called on it." - Source Unknown
- Just as "ignorance of the law" is no excuse for breaking it, personal ignorance of any subject here on Wikipedia is no excuse for deletion, significant change, or general mucking up of ANY article. WP policy not-with-standing, extolling whatever rule that suits an interest under the guise of being an ignorant dolt is never justification for any edit.

I just want to say you are doing a great job of taking the workload of working on the lede in the Second Amendment article. Im making quibbles to make improvements that I see, but I do not want you to interpret that as anything other than collaboration - you are doing the tough job of proposing text, and getting shot down by everyone else :). I think the various revisions are noticeably better from revision to revision, and we are narrowing in on something that everyone can agree to. Gaijin42 (talk) 16:59, 14 August 2013 (UTC) |

Remington
Unfortunately my "edit" of the remington NMA article didn't really come across as intended. The system has greatly complicated uploading pictures and somehow, the caption didnt' make it to the article. Basically, the picture shows a 45 colt R&D conversion cylinder group at 12 0'clock and a ball/fffg group to the right both fired one-handed from 25 yards. User:Michael E. Trishelle Cannatella
Hi. You reverted my edits to the Trishelle Cannatella article, stating in your edit summary "References found." If references have been found, then you should add them to the article. It does not appear that you added any new references to the article, as you merely reverted the article to a previous version, which stated that Cannatella is a "professional" poker player. The New York Times cite given at the end of the passage that makes this claim does not mention that as a profession of hers.
In addition, in reverting the article:
- You removed the publication info from the New York Times cite. Why did you do this?
- You removed the publication info I added to the Bad Girls of Reality TV cite, including the name of the network, and re-added the word "Broadcast", which is not the convention when citing TV programs.
- You reverted my improvement to the passage on her conflict with Aneesa Ferreira. Why do you do this? The word argument is far more accurate, and in keeping with WP:TONE than the phrase "verbal scuffle", as is intolerant than "fed up".
- You restored the last paragraph mentioning her appearance on The Challenge. I removed this because it was redundant, as her appearances on The Challenge are already mentioned further up in the section.
I have reverted your edits because they appear to be non-constructive. If you're going to revert a series of edits, please read them carefully first, and provide a rationale for reverting all of them. Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 16:02, 10 February 2014 (UTC)
- I see now that you made an addition edit while I was reverting the article, in which you added a citation of IMDB. Webites with user-generated content, such as imdb, are not reliable under WP:USERG. Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 16:04, 10 February 2014 (UTC)
- With all of the threaded changes and edits, I suppose we are both at fault for mucking up the article. As for IMDb, your general statement regarding the entire site is incorrect. IMDb has paid staff that manages its main database of actor information regarding their work and credits, its far from "user generated". Yes, there are sections that are contributed heavily to by users such as the Forums and trivia section, but this in no way discredits the main database which is a mainstay of the Entertainment industry. With the thousands of articles that depend on this resource, your claim is baseless. Thanks, --Scalhotrod - Just your average banjo playing, drag racing, cowboy... (talk) 20:27, 10 February 2014 (UTC)
- IMDB isn't considered a reliable source. If you don't believe us, why not raise a thread at WP:RSN? Spartaz Humbug! 20:52, 10 February 2014 (UTC)

This has already been discussed and resolved. IMDb is acknowledged as a WP:RS for basic information regarding an actors work history. Speedy deletion nomination of Fretted Instrument Guild of America
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Fretted Instrument Guild of America, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
- It appears to be a clear copyright infringement. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. However, even if you use one of these processes to release copyrighted material to Wikipedia, it still needs to comply with the other policies and guidelines to be eligible for inclusion. If you would like any assistance with this, you can ask a question at the help desk.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Reference Errors on 1 March
Hello, I'm ReferenceBot. I have automatically detected that an edit performed by you may have introduced errors in referencing. It is as follows:
- On the International Culinary Center page, your edit caused an empty citation error (help). (Fix | Ask for help)
Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, ReferenceBot (talk) 00:31, 2 March 2014 (UTC)
US-centric translation
Hi . Just a quick note re: the Stripper page - you translated the (reported) "Freshers' Week" to "[Freshman] week". Firstly, this appear to not be a very common term (hardly any Google results!), so probably shouldn't be used anywhere on Wikipedia. Secondly, Wikipedia isn't written in American so using terms from other nationalities is just fine, especially if (as in this case!) you can wikilink the result. Good work anyways, that page is in need of some real TLC! Cheers, Nikthestunned 09:49, 3 March 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, I was conflicted about that, so thank you for the correction... :) I'm also the one that did the "male stripper" article merge. Overall I'd say that the article is pretty good and takes a reasonably clinical approach to discussing the subject matter. What did you think of the section I added? --Scalhotrod - Just your average banjo playing, drag racing, cowboy... (talk) 17:11, 3 March 2014 (UTC)

Laissez les bons temps rouler. Mardi gras dans le monde ~ Happy Mardi Gras to you and yours...
ciao!!! Carriearchdale (talk) 01:35, 4 March 2014 (UTC)
- Hi Carrie, many thanks for your efforts, its appreciated and always welcomed. Feel free to peruse my personal Sandbox where I maintain a list of articles in process
- As for HW, that one is a curious sort. I've made repeated attempts to make peace and generally be less abrasive in conversation. That said, HW seemingly prefers to be ticked off as well as wildly guilty of many of the things that HW accuses me and others of. "Bad faith" and "dishonest editing" are things HW routinely throws at others and then goes on to commit. The most recent example is the discussion of the Proposed deletion of the Mikala Mendez article. The comments that HW made, seemingly under the guise of "analysis", were a complete misstatement of the truth. As for the Rachel Reilly article, HW's actions are just plain bizarre.
- That said, HW has made what I consider some good edits and caught things that went unnoticed by other Editors, but this seems to be the exception rather than the norm. Then again, I have no interest in digging into HW's edit history beyond where we cross paths. But I still find the nature of HW's rage and obstinance to be rather bipolar at times.
- Again, thank you and best regards. I'll pitch in support when I can. Laissez les bons temps rouler mon ami. --Scalhotrod - Just your average banjo playing, drag racing, cowboy... (talk) 02:08, 4 March 2014 (UTC)

FYI
The "why" is specifically addressing that the editor is trying to add a source that mentions the absence in the last sentence, the rest of the source reveals personal, and family information. And the absence, it's apparently spring break, see here please. Sportfan5000 (talk) 17:41, 18 March 2014 (UTC)

I don't know how to put this ... but he is a rather famous character around here, not just in the sense that he can put together a well written article, but he has been known for at times verbally ripping out people's innards, shall we say, far, far more than he has done here. We're getting off lucky. :-) --AnonEMouse (squeak) 14:27, 21 March 2014 (UTC)
