SnowieLuna1212 Taiwanese Chinese dispute solution[edit]

I have made my own map for a solution of the Taiwan-Chinese dispute, which is giving The Republic of China most of East China and South China while the rest remains part of the People's Republic of China. I know this solution would never be accepted by the two governments because of the two States Diplomatic Relations.

“Old” US Airways and “New” US Airways are airlines that both use the name US Airways, and the same logo and livery. New US Airways claims to be a revival of the old US Airways after the US Airways-American Airlines merger.

US Airways both have a version of US Airways Express, but have different subsidiaries as the old has US Airways Shuttle, and formerly MetroJet while the new has US Airways Private Charter and no other subsidiaries different than old US Airways.

Etymology[edit]

The name “US Airways” quite literally translates to United States Airways, as the airlines serve the people of the United States, similar to how American Airlines is an American airline serving the American people.

US Airways, or unofficially “New” US Airways is a proposed self-funded private no-frills American airline. US Airways currently owns zero airliners, or any form of airborne transport. US Airways has two planned subsidiaries which are US Airways Express and US Airways Eagle, also called Private Charter, and sometimes MetroJet.[1][2][3]

History[edit]

US Airways was made as a proposed airline on 18 March 2022 by an unknown person, who plans to revive US Airways after the US Airways-American Airlines merger.

On the old website of the proposed airline, it had states that the airline would start small with private flights in Cessna[4] made aircraft until it could build up enough money with the owner having a well-paying side job to build the airlines income.

The old website was deleted by the founder months after its creation due to unknown reasoning, and the website was not revived leaving the current state of the proposed Airline unknown.

The day after Christmas, on 26 December 2023, US Airways published a virtual document to supporters of US Airways revival, and announcing that it was planning to make merchandise such as a passport protector and travel wallet in one.[5] US Airways announced on 27 December 2023 that they would also bring back US Airways Express, with lighter jets such as the Embraer E175.[6]

On 11 January 2024, US Airways announced on Twitter that it plans to buy an Air operator's certificate instead of applying for an AOC through the Federal Aviation Administration.[7]

On 18 January to 21 January 2024, US Airways went through a merger with another proposed airline based in Indianapolis, Indiana, later on having an ownership change bringing the headquarters back to Providence, Rhode Island. With the contracting of third-party sources to create tickets, advertising poster's, and more. With these changes occurring still, on 25 January 2024, US Airways Private Charter had become US Airways Eagle, similar to American Eagle.

Headquarters[edit]

The old US Airways headquarters based in Tempe, Arizona before becoming an office building in 2016.

US Airways has a planned headquarters in Providence, Rhode Island to replace the old Tempe, Arizona headquarters which is now an office building after the merger of the original US Airways and American Airlines.

Current Status[edit]

It is currently unknown where US Airways is currently headquartered because of the anonymity within the company of who runs it and where it is based. The only information known is that US Airways is based in Rhode Island, as on its Twitter it links Providence as its headquarters location and follows Rhode Island Red Cross, a subdivision of the American Red Cross and has commented on a tweet of a US Congressman saying their founder has lived in Rhode Island their entire life.

Livery[edit]

Livery seen on a Cessna 172 Skyhawk.
Livery on an old US Airways Airbus A319.

The livery incorporated the basic colors from the old US Airways livery, with curving gray stripes on the rear fuselage reminiscent of those seen on the previous America West scheme. The US Airways title is painted in a very dark blue serif font, accompanied by a grey stylized flag logo. The tail of the airplane was also painted in very dark blue to match the lower fuselage, with the stylized flag painted on the tail in grey. The lower fuselage has a white stripe separating the dark blue and the white, and then a red stripe over the white stripe separating the thin white strip from the upper fuselage.

Document released by US Airways about official Livery.

The livery is used on all subsidiaries of US Airways, and is only slightly modified for US Airways Express having the full name US Airways Express instead of just US Airways, while Private Charter still just uses the US Airways title on its livery.

Special Livery[edit]

US Airways has special liveries in the design of the U.S. state flags of Arizona, Indiana, Rhode Island, Georgia, and Nevada, but also non-state related special liveries related to sports such as the proposed Boston Bruins & Providence Bruins design.

Slogans[edit]

US Airways only has two slogans:

  • “US Airways Begins With You!” — A modified version of the early 1990’s slogan “USAir Begins With You."
  • ”Clear Skies Are Ahead, Fly With US!” — Mixed slogan of the post America West merger and post first bankruptcy.

US Airways Eagle[A 2] slogans:

  • “The Eagle spreading its wings like a Phoenix from the ruins of American, so fly with US because we begin with you!” Is the only Eagle Slogan.

US Airways has one Advertising Slogan:

  • “Keep your heads up, as clear skies are ahead, so fly with US as US Airways starts with YOU!” — An advertising slogan made on Twitter.[8][9]

Fleet[edit]

US Airways currently has zero orders or any planes in its fleet, and only having two aircraft, which are both Cessna 172 Skyhawks.

The proposed fleet plans to use the same design as the US Airways design on both permanent proposed fleet and temporary starter aircraft. The airline focuses on starting with smaller aircraft, from light private charter to large aircraft commercial aviation.

US Airways announced on 27 December 2023 that they would also bring back US Airways Express with lighter aircraft.[6]

Dividend Miles is the frequent-flyer program of US Airways, named after the old Dividend Miles from US Airways.

Dividend Miles functions similarly to Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards frequent-flyer program, which when announced on Twitter people were told to learn more about Rapid Rewards whole the Airline still works on its founding. US Airways during January 2024 released an advertisement about Rapid Rewards and Dividend Miles, explaining how the two function similarly but are not exactly the same.[12]
