Hi. When you were editing the above, I was in between making further edits.

My largest edit got caught by the 2 tags you added.

So, I backed out your last edit, & re-installed my pending changes.

Then I undid some of my changes (see its History for why).

So that I stay the 'good guy', would you mind reapplying your tags?

Your edits were helpful though, not least the one pointing me & others to wp:overlink.

Oh, so I get to play the bad cop? Heh; OK then - done. Note, I removed the names too - concerns about WP:NPF. Cheers,  Chzz  ►  18:01, 8 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Greatly appreciated; please ask, any time - I mean that; I'm not too good on 'watching' pages; I'm involved w/ too many things - so if you think I can help further with this, or any other matter, please do ask again right here. Best,  Chzz  ►  21:14, 8 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Invisible System

Chiz,

Although I do not understand fully Wikipedia, all journalists etc that cover my music have told me it should be on wikipedia. It is on itunes, it was up for World Music Awards 2010 Songlines, it has had major press coverage left right and centre and major radio play. The people involved are long established and known artists. I was in the world music charts etc etc

Please advise. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Danieleonharper (talkcontribs) 23:38, 8 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

That's helpful, I'll think how best to use it

Thanks for creating the list at User:Chzz/feed. I had started looking for a couple manually, became convinced it was worth identifying them but a fair amount of work to do manually. I share your thought that we should not approach them in an automated way. Let me give it a bit of thought - one thing I might do is check them out and identify areas of interest. For example, the recent request User:ScienceRulz2012/Crizotinib is fairly specialized, so I tracked down a couple small cell cancer experts, here and here. If I had a list of specialists, we could use them for specific articles. If they don't appear to be specialists, we might just ask them to help generally, but I'd like to write a custom message. --SPhilbrickT 23:40, 8 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Definitely a worthwhile thing to look at. SPhilbrick, stwalkerster (talk · contribs) helped me to create that query, and I've just thanked them in Wikipedia:A nice cup of tea and a sit down#June 2010 and you might like to add a comment there.
Please let me know if I can help with it; otherwise, I will leave that particular mission to you.
I am also working on the FEED/transclusion thingy; not ready yet, but the work-in-progess demo of the idea is in User:Chzz/Wikipedia:Requests for feedback. I'm hoping to get the demo in order during the next week, then showing others (especially you) to seek opinion, before making it live. I'm working on making it automatically transclude the past 'n' days, and noting the 'oldest outstanding requests' at the top, and other things. I will work to improve it, before making the suggestion (on the FEED talk page) ASAP.  Chzz  ►  23:59, 8 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Vertical alignment

Me again (shock). Now, I have this table: User:Trafford09/test-table, which I've created solely in order to force (so I hoped) each of the 5 rows to line up with each other, even though of course the text lines are single lines, whereas the symbols are more than one text-line's height.

Should the Table approach work? If so, how, and also how could I force gridlines to appear? (i.e. horiz. line after each row.)

Also, is there a better approach to using a table? I did try putting {{clear}} after each WP icon, but that gave me oodles of whitespace (which I know you don't like!). Ta muchly, Trafford09 (talk) 00:00, 9 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Furthermore, do you know any way of storing a segment of html (e.g. [[Image:Updated DYK query.svg|Did You Know|{{#ifeq:{{{small|}}}|yes|10px|15px}}|]] ) in some placeholder like &REG1, then using &REG1 multiple times? Trafford09 (talk) 00:40, 9 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Use |- for each new row, and || between columns; See here - I think that was your intention?
To put something many times, just make a subpage and transclude it - e.g. I just made User:Chzz/dykicon containing the code you gave above, so if I put {{User:Chzz/dykicon}} anywhere, from now on, it produces that icon, e.g. Did You Know Did You Know Did You Know etc.  Chzz  ►  00:55, 9 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Brilliant - you make it look simple! Thanks as per usual. Trafford09 (talk) 01:25, 9 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Image sizes

Is there a guideline on image sizes? E.g., what about this edit? Trafford09 (talk) 10:15, 9 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

Thanks for the quick response to the help me request. I have become more active in editing and have now been autoconfirmed.

I think you would make a good admin!
