Your contributed article, Ana Ivanović career statistics

Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, Ana Ivanović career statistics. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as yourself. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Ana Ivanovic. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will to continue helping improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Ana Ivanovic - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. -- BigDom 18:51, 14 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, but at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Ana Ivanović, did not appear to be constructive and has been automatically reverted by ClueBot.

The article Caba Siladji has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Names

Please stop adding multiple translations to the Eurovision Song Contest articles. Such translations are only appropriate when the article is about or closely linked to a particular country (as opposed to merely taking place there). For events involving many countries with numerous translations, we use the English only. You will also note that Eurovision use English in all their literature, graphics and communications. Requesting page moves

Hello.

Please follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Requested moves when requesting page moves. Just copying the string {{Requested move/dated|xxxxxxxx}} and pasting it to the talkpage in question will cause the pagemove bot to fail to identify the timestamp of the move request, which will cause it to be listed at "Time could not be ascertained".

Thanks

I am sorry I have had to go against everything, all because of the stronger links to their new countries. However, there is one where I prove I am not being Anti-Serb or hypocritical and that is with Janics Natasa. Thanks Aca. Evlekis (Евлекис) (argue) 22:48, 1 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Petra Kvitová career statistics, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Perth (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). April 2012

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Template:Serbia in the Eurovision Song Contest and Template:Montenegro in the Eurovision Song Contest, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. An outstanding consensus was agreed at WT:ESC a few years ago, in that Eurovision templates for Serbia should also show Serbia and Montenegero in subscript text. Project Eurovision RFC discussion reminder

WikiProject Eurovision: This is a reminder to all members of Project Eurovision, that there is still an ongoing RfC discussion taking place at the project talk page. It is vital that everyone participates in this discussion, as it concerns the future manual of style and article layout in regards to Eurovision Song Contest by Year and Junior Eurovision Song Contest by Year articles. This is your ideal opportunity to contribute suggestions and ideas on a major issue, which will reflect on the way these articles will be written in future. Thank You! Message from the Editorial Team

Bienvenue! Willkommen! Welcome!

Please be warm-hearted in encouraging everyone to do their best to contribute to all Eurovision-related Wikipedia articles, and welcome our new members to the project. It is easy for editors to get into conflict with each other, and things can get very nasty on the most trivial of issues, whether that be on the language of songs, the names of certain countries, or how we deal with incidents at the contest. In such circumstances it is worth remembering one thing: we are all here to build an encyclopedia, and the contribution of Eurovision to human knowledge can only be given justice if we work together and make articles, not drama!

  • If you would like something to appear in the August 2012 Edition of the newsletter, then please inform us at the Project Newsdesk.
  • If there is an article you think we should have? Request it here.

Happy editing!

Project News
  • When creating new articles about a performer or song, please remember to add sources either from Eurovision.tv, ESCToday or other reliable sources. If you're not sure a source is reliable enough, then ask the project for an opinion.
  • Remember to only add content to articles that is relevant to the article's main subject. Anything not in relation to the article may be questioned and/or subject to redirection to an article that would benefit it's inclusion. Again if in doubt, ask on the article or project talk pages for an opinion - communication is an important tool.
  • On the subject of communication, please make use of the article talk pages. They are a vital tool in conducting consensus talks of additions of proposed new sections and/or removal of unnecessary section. If you don't use these pages to put across your views, then you only have yourself to blame if actions are taken that you disagree with and you end up wandering into edit warring territory.
  • The 2012 season of Eurovision has drawn to a close, and we now start preparations for the 2013 edition. While things will be slow to start of with, now is the ideal opportunity to do a clean-up exercise across articles relating to the project. There's over 4,500 articles associated with the project. If you happen to see a Eurovision related article without the {{EurovisionNotice}} template on the article's talk page, please add it. You can also read Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Assessment if you would like to help assess or reassess articles in our project if you see that they have outgrown their current assessment. There is currently one unassessed article.
  • And finally... a massive thank you to all members of the project for your constant hard work on collaborating and contributing to Eurovision related articles. Keep up the good work team!

Project Alerts
Headlines
Project Gossip
  • The RfC discussion in regards to article layout, is still taking place on the project talk page. Could all members please ensure that they participate in the discussion so that we can all agree on important article structure issues. If you don't take part, then you only have yourselves to blame if a consensus is passed that you disagree with.

WikiProject Eurovision: Recent changes

Hello,

Please note that there have been some changes to operations surrounding Eurovision articles, these being that:

  • Template names have now been modernised and/or megred into super-templates, for example Countries in the Eurovision Song Contest has now been merged into Template:Eurovision Song Contest making it even easier to find everything under one template. If you are planning to create a new template, please keep the standardised titles in mind. Other templates have been modernised and a full list of them can be found here.
  • The Eurovision Song Contest and Junior Eurovision Song Contest articles have now been standardised to keep a consitancy throughout the project and to the genral reader too. Skeleton article drafts can be found for Eurovision Song Contest by Year and Junior Eurovision Song Contest by Year.

If you have any questions, please ask at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Eurovision.

Medal templates

Hi

I noticed you added medal templates to Ann Strother, which look fine, meanig they are open by default. However, in the case of Skylar Diggins and Bria Hartley, they are closed by default. I haven't figured out what is triggering the difference.

In the case of Hartley, I changed the color, because the "show" button was unreadable. I'd prefer to have it open by default, and restore the color. Any thoughts?--SPhilbrick(Talk) 18:54, 1 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Novak

Jebote koliko si ti nedokazan čovek pa to je za nepoverovati. Opet si ovde dodao SCG nepotrebno u kutijicu. Pre toga si dodao SR Jugoslaviju. Zašto to radiš, nije mi jasno?

A Nadal i Federer imaju dobar clanak.

Ispravio sam sad ja i azurirao neke podatke. Uvek treba obratiti paznju na takve stvari da ne bi bilo propusta, pogotovo jer nema potrebe za tako nesto.--Soundwaweserb (talk) 11:41, 24 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I don't want to make any "edit-wars" - I just have one simple question - why Kosovan records achieved before IAAF recognition are not recognized here when Croatian records achieved before IAAF recognition (from time when Croatian athletes competed for Yugoslavia - the oldest one from 1956 (!)) are recognized here? I think that this is little inconsistent. Moreover IAAF database isn't perfect - they don't have a lot of results from smaller countries so it isn't a perfect source for their records - national federations mention their national records a lot earlier - especially when this results are far from good and were achieved in local meetings. 99kerob (talk) 18:15, 25 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Proposed deletion of Milan Marić

The article Milan Marić has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Seemingly obvious non-notable and unimprovable actor article as my searches found nothing better and his IMDB summarizes this well.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Please do not add Montenegrin language to article about Taylor Rochestie...there is no such thing as Montenegrin language, and this guy is American and have nothing with Montenegro and their language (which is actualy called Maternji in schools). WikiProject Eurovision: Important Announcement

WikiProject Eurovision
Important Announcement

Dear Project Member

Following a project community discussion, which was raised over the use of English translation columns on annual contest articles, and advice from the lead coordinator of The Guild of Copy Editors, who are extremely knowledgeable in regards to all editing practises and manual of style policies. A consensus decision has been reached to fully remove ALL English translations, as such content falls under the prohibition on original research, even if it seems helpful to the reader. This is because we have now to assume that every reader has access to automated translation tools that can always give them a sense of the meaning of the title in their native language; it is not Wikipedia's job to provide those tools for the reader. Which therefore means we are no longer to include an English translation column, nor are we to provide translation by any other means on contest articles.

Such information is currently in the process of being removed, and a new table formatting and layout style is being rolled out across all articles. Please view the new guidance on table layout at Wikipedia:WikiProject Eurovision/Format and Guides#Article layout. An example of the new table layout style can also be access via the collapsed section within this message. Thank you.

Hungary in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017

Hello!

You wrote that the Hungarian entry contains Romani language parts, but this is not true, even if the almighty Wiwibloggs wrote about it. I'm Hungarian, and spoke with Joci himself, and there is no part in Romani in the song, these are just onomatopoeic words, and doesn't mean anything nor in Hungarian, neither in Romani. So please, if I can kindly ask you, remove this misleading information from the article Origo and Eurovision Song Contest 2017. Thank you so much, have a nice day. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Kosovo, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Gračanica. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Succession boxes

Hi. Please see several discussions at WT:FOOTY which frown upon usage of succession boxes. Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 04:01, 3 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Not controversial

It was an infraction of some sort, but only Serbians find it controversial. Let the references speak for themselves as per WP:NPOV. Also please see WP:OVERREF Walter Görlitz (talk) 16:36, 26 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Dimsar01. I noticed that you recently removed content from Eurovision Song Contest 2019 without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Only Israel is the host this year and only that matters as per the contest's rules. And why did you added "independent"; they don't have to be one. Plus, you removed content and one reference.Dimsar01 Talk ⌚→ 22:34, 24 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. Resnjari (talk) 14:01, 12 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

edit warring

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.Resnjari (talk) 15:47, 12 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Move discussions and canvassing

Hi WEBDuB, while appreciate you seeking more input, going only to WP:SERBIA and not also WP:CROATIA, WP:BOSNIA and WP:WWII could be misconstrued as an attempt to WP:VOTESTACK which is strictly forbidden per the rules on canvassing. I've removed your message from WP:SERBIA until the other relevant wikiprojects are notified -- generally, it's not a good practice and actually would likely backfire on you, as movers are more interested in the arguments presented with respect to Wikipedia policies than any vote count. Cheers! --Calthinus (talk) 17:49, 28 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

List of Yugoslav Olympic medalists

Hi. You have made significant contribution to the List of Yugoslav Olympic medalists article, by adding a time period from 1988 to 2002. I wont go into details if the time period should be included or not but your contributions do not match with general article statistics (e.g. medal count). You do understand that if you add medals into paragraph table you should also add them into the article description, correct? For example, the medal count in the article does not match medal count in the table. Look into it and clean up your mess, please. PS: the added 'province' section in the first table is irrelevant.
