Location maps

[edit]

Thanks for your comments! No, I don't have any other location maps ready yet. I did start on Sumatra and Sulawesi, though, but I still need to regenerate them with better data. BTW, the resolution of the data I'm working with is 90 m - I had to downgrade it by a factor of 6 for Java maps. So I could make location maps for much smaller islands, too. I'm going to create few "real" topographic maps for some of the smaller islands (e.g. Flores, Sumba) and could do location maps for them as well. There probably would be little/no use for them, though. – Sadalmelik 11:15, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

External links on Suppressor article

[edit]

I have restored the links section on the Suppressor article; you're right that there are questions about WP:SPAM and WP:EL, but I'd prefer that it be discussed some on the article talk page before it's completely removed like that. Thanks. Georgewilliamherbert 21:43, 2 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I don't understand... Forgive me, but I added a link on the "Dirty Dancing" page in good faith to very well regarded wiki style non-commerical site that contains lots of information and you removed it immediately --whilst leaving utter commerical dreck like this link intact(http://www.movieweb.com/movies/film/38/3638/summary.php/)???? Did you even check the link?

UPDATE: I only added it as you were mis-attributing an important quote on the movie's success to two sources that had taken it from another writer in 2001. I also notice that you removed the reference. This was a perfectly legitimate affort to contribute. No wonder good editors are leaving. I added several links because I am a frequent vistor to that site and very much appreciate their totally non-commercial stance with no ads, no agenda and everyone can contribute. I couldn't believe that they (as an important contributor to the genre) weren't listed anywhere whereas so much commercial dreck was... Thats all. Sorry, but this was my first effort at contributing and I feel that you were a little hasty in your judgement... Thanks again. Fanpot 16:17 4 September 2007 (GMT)

Be my guest?

[edit]

What is that supposed to mean? Can we please address the issue?

Yes, I posted 3 links to an important non-commercial resource from 3 relevant pages. 3, not 3 hundred for heavens sake. But No, I am not a link spammer. And no, you didn't *check* their validity.

I've spent a significant portion of my time this afternoon learning how to contribute before posting and I point you to the following wiki editor guidelines relevant in this situation: (from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Assume_good_faith)

1) Unless there is strong evidence to the contrary, assume that people who work on the project are trying to help it, not hurt it.

2) If criticism is needed, discuss editors' actions, but it is not ever necessary nor productive to accuse others of harmful motives.

I'm not being funny, but, should I just cancel my account and accept that this is a closed community line DMOZ, where new members are far from welcome to try and help or correct issues? I don't want to waste your time or mine, so honest answers are appreciated. Thanks in anticipation.Fanpot 16:25, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you

[edit]

Thanks for your latest reply. :)

Obviously being accused of being a spammer was *very* annoying after I'd just spent *ages* trying to figure out how to contribute properly, --but, upon relection I realised that it must be very difficult in your position, so I hope we can chalk this up to my experience and that I may now be able to start fresh and contribute something positive? :)

That said, I have taken your advice and posted to two of the discussion pages of the pages where I tried to contribute. Any further advice you can give would very much be appreciated :)

Can I ask you to please consider reviewing your decisions to delete all my contributions? If I have to go through a proposal stage for every update, it will be a very long and frustrating process (it seems) or is this just the way it works?

Thanks again :) Fanpot 16:35, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have had a few experiences of so called "community" sites where the concept is very good, but the reality was a hidden agenda that excluded all but the priviliged few. Wiki seems different and it probably is down to the efforts of people like yourself so, as I said, I understand that it must be hard to seperate the "wheat from the chaff". Thanks again for your help and understanding :-) Fanpot 08:33, 5 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sundial

[edit]

Can you please examine the page history. Carl Sabanski's mysundial.ca site is the principal site in the gnomonics community ex Wikipedia. It is the only site with the full mathematical treatment of every dial. He is a wikipedian but a ipeditor, but the type of qua;lity editor we cannot afford to lose. Over the last year this link has been persistently targetted in unexplained and possibly sophisticated way and removed. On several occasions I have bored into his site looking for commercial links , libel and anything else unwiki- the site is clean (though the raw HTML is sometimes unexciting.)

I don't understand why, or how you decided to do a delete, but you are obviously being drawn into this spat. What we need is a way to protect this link from deletion. I haven't the experience to initiate this process and I done know the tags to use. These deletions would break the 3 deletions rule 3 times over were it to be the same person who is doing the deletion.

Can you advise. ClemRutter 08:19, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for comment. Did as advised. The mastersite link is www.mysundial.ca/tsp/tsp.html this triggers a spam blocking. I have already requested that this gets a local whitelisting- but there has been no action, which is presumably why other user, used link. This is really a embarrasing tangle. Spamming

Hey Indon, seems like you know how to handle Wikipedia spammers. So I thought you might be the right one to ask. What way is there to block a spam poster indefinitely or to report him? Seems like User:Angarali is a candidate, for example. Cheers, Trigaranus 22:18, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot! Trigaranus 18:40, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hmmm - are the quote boxes the best way to present in-line quotes? Normally I save them solely for an article that can be read independently of the box - ie, like Mount Tambora or U2 where they are not "in-line". On the other hand, they are really part of the prose in Nagarakretagama and thus I'm thinking that block quote is better. Gimana? --Merbabu 08:42, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I know, but the article is still stubby. There isn't much yet other information about the book. I don't mind of any quote box styles for the article. — Indon (reply) — 08:44, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Author requests deletion, if requested in good faith, and provided the page's only substantial content was added by its author. If the author blanks the page, this can be taken as a deletion request.

External links/Bridget Jones

[edit]

Hello,

I've just read your messages about the external link I added on some of the Bridget Jones related pages of Wikipedia. I don't want to cause troubles and I apologize if I did something wrong, but I'm rather puzzled about why the site I tried to post (http://bridgetarchive.altervista.org/) should be considered spam. I read the external links guideline and this site - who isn't mine - doesn't break any of yours rules: it contains an extensive collection of material about the character of Bridget Jones, so it does not misleads the reader about its contents, it's completely free, it doesn't advertise absolutely anything, it's easily accesible by everyone and there is nothing offensive on it.

On the other hand it offers the possibility to read a lot of material unavaible everywhere else, like Helen Fieldin's original columns, interesting articles and reviews and other actually out of print writings that could be very helpful for students, like me, who are writing their thesis on Fielding. To deny the possibility to consult it wouldn't be a disservice antithetical to the very aims of Wikipedia?

Thank you very much, and again, I apologize for any problem I may have inadvertently caused and for my terrible English.

Rf: External links/Bridget Jones

[edit]

Thanks for your prompt reply. I'm sorry for my misapprehension: I thought that since there were many high quality pictures, articles and video-interviews of the actors themself on the site, it may have been of some interest for their fans. It will not happen again. But could you leave the link on Helen Fielding's page, please? The site is really mostly about her writing and hosts the most accurate biography I was able to find on the web...

I'd like and I hope to cooperate more substantially to Wikipedia in future, but since I'm not a native English speaker I'm rather terrified to not be able to do it adequately.

Thank you again and have a nice day.

please help me

[edit]

hello I was advised to get a new account by a wiki admin recently, this is my problm:

I was recently being bothered by another user Precious Roy who seemed to be following every single edit I did on wikipedia, and would make abusive remarks to me. Sometimes I would do edits without loging in ( I am forgetful) and he would say this made me a "sock puppet"..so weird!

On one public forum, he accused me of working for a Public Relations firm, (completly false) and he exposed that I do my edits from the London Public Library on one page, and where I work. I stupidly threated him with legal actions (whoops Wikipedia:no legal threats) but it was misinterpreted that it was against Wikipedia..which was not the case.

If I had know what the hell I was getting into I never would have bothered with this.

All I really want now, is to have my personal info deleted! ( there is exposure of my political, and relgious beliefs by this user) as it puts me at risk because of an ex-boyfriend being able to find me, and also exposes me to problems at my place of employment.

Please help me with any advice,...I hope this Precious Roy person is not a friend :O)

Prior to dealing with Precious I never had any problems for two years, —Preceding unsigned comment added by Julia1970 (talkcontribs) 15:55, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You stated these photos were not from the era - The photos I was uploading were from the Vietnam era as they show A-7C's flown by VA-82 near the end of the air war. This is heavily documented, as well as this squadron's involvement in dropping the bridge, especially in John Sherwood's book, Afterburner: Naval Aviators and the Vietnam War (2004) published by the NYU Press.

My father was award the Distinguished Flying Cross for his part in this raid. I have all his documentation, plus the discussion of this attack in Sherwood's book, where he interviews Admiral Leighton "Snuffy" Smith, who was in the flight of four from VA-82 that day.

Please let me know what I need to know to correct the description.

West Java history...

[edit]

Hi Indon

I thought this was fairly impressive work - you don't think it should stay? Where could we put it? Although, it seems a little odd - so much in one edit from an anon. --Merbabu 02:01, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

thank you Merbabu for your support. The material I wrote in West Java has the same for as for Central Java. I do not understand why Indon discriminate me. Muct time, energy and money for dial up internet access I expended for doing this but Indon does at his will. Very cruel. Endeed my lnguage is a little odd but actually as ou said we can edit it to be a better one. Once more, I thank you very much for Merbabu support. BTW, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Hadi, a half Javanese (descent from Tegal and Indramayu) and a half Sundanese. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 61.5.17.26 (talk) 03:03, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, okay. I was going to find out to which the place for the content is more appropriate. The article itself is talking about a province and should tell the history of the region's administration. Otherwise it will distract readers. Some like summary in Jakarta and the administration section of East Nusa Tenggara. The content added is more or less throwing everything that relates to West Java. I'm not discriminating your work, Hadi. Punten atuh. I'll try to re-edit the content. — Indon (reply) — 08:46, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

(note to Hadi). Could you please register? It's free and you can choose any name if you want to hide your true identity. Now you're using multiple IPs, as seen in the West Java's history, which makes me difficult to talk to you. — Indon (reply) — 08:48, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Mr. Indon for your kind assisstnce. I have forgoten to write information concerning the ruler in West Java after the downfll of the Kingdom of Sunda. According to Herwig Zahorka in his book “The Sound Kingdoms of West Java – From Tarumanagara to Pakuan Pajajaran with Royal Center of Bogor, page 52:
From 1567 to 1579, under the last king Raja Mulya, alias Prabu Surya Kencana, the kingdom declined essentially, particularly after 1576 due to the pressure from the Sultanate of Banten. The king could no longer reside in Pakuan Pajajaran (Bogor). The sultanate of Banten now ruled the former Kingdom of Sunda.
Other sources said that in the eastern part of the former Kingdom of Sunda (near current Central Java Province), the Sultanate of Cirebon ruled for hundreds of year in the north, meanwhile the sultanate of Mataram reign in the south (Priangan Timur) for about 50 years until the West Java was controlled by Dutch colonialist.
Many sources said that Demak (in alliance with Cirebon) seized Sunda Kalapa harbour and renamed it Jayakarta and give it to Banten for administration control. Thus, I asked your permission to make correction for the last prgraph of West Java history with the information from Herwig Zahorka above plus other resources. Laut Bali ("Bali Sea")

[edit]

Just FYI, I have reverted your changes relating to this body of water. If you do a Google search, you will find that "Bali Sea" is almost unknown, with Laut Bali qualifying as the common name in English. "Bali Sea" appears to be an anglicisation of the Dutch name. See also Talk:Battle of Makassar Strait. Grant | Talk 14:49, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe back to the project noticeboard on this one :( SatuSuro 01:07, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe a good idea at that.
Indon, I don't know how you arrive at a figure of 528 Google hits. I get 3,160 hits for "Laut Bali" and you may have noticed that the vast majority of hits for Bali Sea are for "Bali Sea Shells", "Bali Sea Grass", "Bali Sea Salt", "Bali Sea Boutique", "Bali Sea Food" (etc), that have absolutely nothing to do with the name of the body of water, i.e. they are the name of the island tacked onto the front of "sea"-related business names.
I also don't understand you point about anglicisation. I suggested that "Bali Sea" is an anglicisation of the Dutch name, not an Indonesian one.Grant | Talk 06:30, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nope, sorry. I don't get 506 hits when I search for "laut bali", I get 3,160. When I search for laut + bali I get 318,000; bali + sea = 332,000; "bali sea" = 27,500

I don't know where you are located but Google results can vary depending on location (i.e. some parts of the web are not "visible" from particular locations at particular points in time. Likewise my original search may have been affected by this, so I will defer to the project on this, as Satu has suggested above. Grant | Talk 07:59, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Centralised discussion

[edit]

Could we please re-establish and confirm that issues central to an issue such as sources - and the issues arising from them is in a centralised place - the Bali Sea talk page is an example where any sense of credibility this project has has had a bit of a bump? - It would be appreciated if we realise that projects do have leigitmacy problems - and when outsider editors and admins come in and find discussions like that - they might wonder whether kalau semua orang disini gila or worse :) - cheers

IMO, the list is based on the net worth which is the total assets minus liabilities. I guess Suharto's wealth mainly consist of more liabilities than the asset itself. — Indon (reply) — 16:41, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well if the Time.com article in 1999 is to be believed he was worth US$15 billion. Whats happened to all that money since? FL Main page proposal

[edit]

You either nominated a WP:FLC or closed such a nomination this year. As such, you are the type of editor whose opinion I am soliciting. We now have over 400 featured lists and seem to be promoting in excess of 30 per month of late (41 in August and 42 in September). When Today's featured article (TFA) started (2004-02-22), they only had about 200 featured articles and were barely promoting 20 new ones per month. I think the quality of featured lists is at least as good as the quality of featured articles was when they started appearing on the main page. Thus, I am ready to open debate on a proposal to institute a List of the Day on the main page with nominations starting November 1 2007, voting starting December 1 2007 and main page appearances starting January 1 2008. For brevity, the proposal page does not discuss the details of eventual main page content, but since the work has already been done, you should consider this proposal assuming the eventual main page will resemble either an excerpted list format or an abbreviated text format. The proposal page does not debate whether starting with weekly list main page entries would be better than daily entries. However, I suspect persons in favor of weekly lists are really voicing opinions against lists on the main page since neither TFA nor Picture of the day started as weekly endeavors, to the best of my knowledge. Right now debate seems to be among support for the current selective democratic/consensus based proposal, a selective dictatorial approach like that used at WP:TFA or a non-selective first in line/calendar approach like that used at WP:POTD. See the List of the Day proposal and comment at WP:LOTDP and its talk page.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/tcfkaWCDbwincowtchatlotpsoplrttaDCLaM) 19:17, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,Indon

I think you did wrong by removing the template. I think it gives an important historic context. That's not excessive, it´s complet. And doesn't seems to me that anyone will think that the islands belong to Portugal. Did you really got that impression? Have you checked on how many articles of sovereign countries that template and category are? And sometimes with even more related categories and templates. For example, i don't think anyone will stay with the impression that Brazil is still part of Portugal. OK... Be cool.

MILHIST for Sukarno

[edit]

Hi FayssalF, I noticed you'd included Sukarno in the WP:MILHIST project. I'm not against the project, but do you think he is considered as a military personnel? Through his biography, he was an engineer turned into politicians and he never commanded military personnels in action, although as the head of a state he is officially the commander-in-chief of Indonesian army. But if the latter is the case then all Indonesian presidents must be included in the project. Just a thought. Cheers. — Indon (reply) — 07:44, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Indon. The bit about him being persuaded not to run for governor came from one of the two Kompas articles. I'll add an inline reference when I get the time, but I'm a bit rushed this week. I added the info about being educated at Catholic schools as I believe it provides extra background, and is significant as he is one of Canisius College's most famous alumni and because he played the religious card during the election campaign. Regards Davidelit 09:20, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again. I accept your point about the "Catholic" bit, although it was Kompas that mentioned it ("Untuk pendidikan formal, Fauzi justru mendapat pendidikan formal di sekolah Katolik" - Kompas 2 Aug 07 hal 33), and your comparison with pesantren is a well-made argument. People of all faiths are sent to Canisius for the quality of the education (I know a Hindu who goes there!), as they are for the (Catholic) Atma Jaya Uni, and it was not my intention to introduce a loaded statement. Incidentally, I have added citations for the other statements you highlighted. Regards Davidelit 15:03, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please keep my edits and the two new entries - we are tring to spread the word and advocate for mentoring of high-risk youth. There is an article for the Big Brother, Big Sister organization, and we feel that it would help us increase the visibility of our efferts by having profiles on the wikipedia.

Yahoo! Answers Vandals Permitted to Bury Well Documented Criticism

I do need your help. Now that I have your attention, I need your help reverting or rather changing the Yahoo! Answers page so that is shows criticisms as should be done. I would also like you to ban novangelis who was pointed out as not being eligible to edit that article being that he is a known member of Yahoo! Here is the link to the edit in mind, no it isn't perfect grammar as it runs on and so on, but IT DOES CITE SOURCES. Now how can anyone claim I need to cite sources and that I am biased when I AM CITING THE SOURCES? Please do explain that!:

Mzarius and others say there is "weasel wording" and bias yet what is it? There mere say so? How is it novangelis, cited as an abusive user, who acknoweldged on Yahoo! Answers that he is the one who was tampering with the page, and gloating about the whole wikipedia siding with him, permitted to edit that page? That's fair? That's reasonable? Why does wikipedia itself on its entry have a criticism section, yet Yahoo! Answers have NONE at all? Why were my edits on the talk page reverted over and over and why after I reported this harassment to the page protection section was it not addressed promptly and the vandals banned? Instead I WAS BANNED. Disgusting! So, it's damned if I do cite sources, damned if I don't cite sources, right? please explain to me How can I edit the information without put my statement on the cited statement? and how to make cited works on Wikipedia. Because my new edit is valid and I have the cited works for it. So, please don't delete my revision again. I will never give up and keep trying put my revision!!!! because I have a valid cited works. about H. Floresiensis arrival at Flores

[edit]

Eteruel 10:43, 12 November 2007 (UTC) eteruel[reply]

Hi Indon! Thanks for the correction to my editing of H. Floresiensis, I apologize for the inconvenience, I'm a new user.

I'm not in the position to publish about it, I am just "surprised" that a serious attempt to explain how a H. Erecturs arrived at Flores about a million years ago dismisses the possibility of doing so by swiming, which would be in perfect accordance to the aquatic ape hypothesis. Swiming seems to be accepted as the means of locomotion elephants used for the same purpose, perhaps because no one dares to speculate they were so intelligent to have a navigation technology...

Once arrived at the island, those H. erectus would have evolved, and in particular would have "suffered" dwarfism, the same as the elephants.

Perhaps I should use the "Talk" section for expressing these ideas?

Thank you in advance!

There have been a series of proposals to initiate a Featured List of the Day on the main page. Numerous proposals have been put forth. After the third one failed, I audited all WP:FL's in order to begin an experiment in my own user space that will hopefully get it going. Today, it commences at WP:LOTD. Afterwards I created my experimental page, a new proposal was set forth to do a featured list that is strikingly similar to my own which is to do a user page experimental featured list, but no format has been confirmed and mechanism set in place. I continue to be willing to do the experiment myself and with this posting it commences. Please submit any list that you would like to have considered for list of the day in the month of January 2008 by the end of this month to WP:LOTD and its subpages. You may submit multiple lists for consideration.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:LOTD) 17:39, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Alert!!

[edit]

I have been checking the European countries' articles such as France, Germany, and Russia. I have found out that User:Blain123, has vandalized, or changed the content of the article on purpose, and should be banned. As an administrator, User:Indon, you should bann this person from editing any articles. It is for the good of Wikipedia.

As many users say: "LONG LIVE WIKIPEDIA!!"

Cheers and have a great day! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ps89 (talkcontribs) 00:10, 7 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Admin

[edit]

Hi. I just wondered if you would consider letting me nominate you for adminship, as you seem experienced enough. Thanks. Epbr123 (talk) 11:43, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Indon is a poor choice for admin. I will oppose strongly any such rfa. This is simply because if he were to become an admin, it would take him away from his magnificent quality expansions of Indonesia-related articles. Seriously though, if he did go for admin I would most probably but reluctantly strongly support such an rfa. :-) --Merbabu (talk) 11:48, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hahaha, thanks for your compliment, Merbabu. I second to Merbabu, but not because of his reason, of course. :-) First, I don't like wiki-drama, though I enjoy reading it ;P, and second, I can't commit myself to wiki. I've abandoned wiki for such a long time due to my real-life situation. As for Indonesia-related articles, we still have Merbabu, SatuSuro and Caniago to keep the project alive. Anyway, thanks a lot for your offer, Epbr123, but I've to refuse it. — Indon (reply) — 09:53, 11 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sumatran Rhino

[edit]

Hi Indon, I remember the very helpful review you gave of Javan Rhinoceros. I wondered if you'd be interested in taking a look over Sumatran Rhinoceros which I just finished doing some heavy work on. In many ways they're similar to the Javan Rhino, but in many ways quite different. I've been working on it for so long that I need a fresh pair of eyes to point out spots where the article might still be weak. Thanks for your help! --JayHenry (talk) 06:36, 14 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

the true history of samarinda

[edit]

dear wikipedia,

tahniah atas usaha anda dalam memartabatkan bangsa indonesia.Segala usaha anda saya letakkan sebagai cerita kelas pertama. Tapi terdapat beberapa permasaalahan yang timbul. Benarkan saya untuk bercerita mengenai permasalahan tersebut. Pertama mengenai sejarah terjadinya samarinda.

Assalamualaikum,

Nama saya Indra bin Abd. Wahab. saya berumur 42 tahun. Saya adalah anak yang tertua daripada Hj. Abd Wahab. Saya berbangsa bugis berketurunan wajo, Sulawesi. Yusupu Daeng Ma Sengaj. Anak - anak beliau adalah seperti berikut :

1.Saipol Ahyar Bin Hj. Yusupu 2.Fatimahsyam Bte Hj. Yusupu 3.Saipol Anwar Bin Hj.Yusupu 4.Hj. Abd.Wahab Bin Hj.Yusupu (bapa saya). 5.Ahmad bin Hj. Yusupu 6.Halimatus Saadiah Bte. Hj. Yusupu 7.Yusam Bin Hj. yusupu 8.Abdullah Sani Bin Hj. Yusupu 9.Zamrud bte Hj.Yusupu. 10.Haniah Bte Hj. Yusupu.

Untuk pengetahuan penulis atau pemilik laman ini diharap dapat menghubungi saya seandainya ingin mendapatkan maklumat mengenai keturunan kami. H/P 0195839303 atau H/P 0135822431. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.82.34.32 (talk) 04:07, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Borobudur ground plan

[edit]

Dear Indon, I would like to use your ground plan of Borobudur in a scientific publication (article in a serial, about 800 copies), but I don't want to print the whole GNU license text with it. It would be nice if you could give me permission to use it without having to print the whole license thing. GA Sweeps invitation

[edit]

Hello, I hope you are doing well. I am sending you this message since you are a member of the GA WikiProject. I would like to invite you to consider helping with the GA sweeps process. Sweeps helps to ensure that the oldest GAs still meet the criteria, and improve the quality of GAs overall. Unfortunately, last month only two articles were reviewed. This is definitely a low point after our peak at the beginning of the process when 163 articles were reviewed in September 2007. After nearly two years, the running total has just passed the 50% mark. In order to expediate the reviewing, several changes have been made to the process. A new worklist has been created, detailing which articles are left to review. All exempt and previously reviewed articles have already been removed from the list. Instead of reviewing by topic, you can consider picking and choosing whichever articles interest you.

We are always looking for new members to assist with the remaining articles, so if you are interested or know of anybody that can assist, please visit the GA sweeps page. In addition, for every member that reviews 100 articles or has a significant impact on the process, s/he will get an award when they reach that threshold. If only 14 editors achieve this feat starting now, we would be done with Sweeps! Of course, having more people reviewing less articles would be better for all involved, so please consider asking others to help out. Feel free to stop by and only review a few articles, something's better than nothing! Take a look at the list, and see what articles interest you. Let's work to complete Sweeps so that efforts can be fully focused on the backlog at GAN. If you have any questions about the process, reviewing, or need help with a particular article, please contact me or OhanaUnited and we'll be happy to help. --Happy editing! Ceratopsian crests as acoustic enhancers

[edit]

Hello. I stumbled across a discussion that you had with another gentleman regarding my research; specifically, that ceratopsian crests enhanced low frequency acoustics. You recommended that my work not be disseminated among Wiki readers until it was formally published. I agree with that conservative perspective. However, I am writing to inform you that the research was published in my text titled, "Dinosaurs Incognito," assuming that such a topic is still of interest to you.

Best regards, John Anton24.0.74.187 (talk) 04:30, 6 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

We can still use your hard work. Remember - you are one of the most active Indonesian Wikipedians there before you lost faith, and now I want you back. If you do, please note that we have an awful lot of articles ready for collaboration. Leave a note to me if you are ready.
