Madhya Pradesh has two central universities, sixteen state universities,[note 1] three deemed universities, one private university and two institutes of national importance, including an IIT[note 2] and an NIT. The state also has an IIM and an IISER.
The Department of Higher Education under Ministry of Human Resource Development lists 81 centrally funded institutes[1] and 42 central universities.[2] Two central universities, two regional centres of IGNOU (in Jabalpur and Bhopal), and eight centrally funded institutes are located in Madhya Pradesh.the indore ranked 1st for providing best education in madhya pradesh,indore have a best school,colleges and universities in madhya pradesh.
