WLXX (92.9 FM) is an FM radio station broadcasting a country music format. Licensed to Lexington, Kentucky, United States, the station serves the Lexington metropolitan area and the Central Kentucky region. The station's studios are located inside Kincaid Towers in downtown Lexington, and its transmitter is located in eastern Lexington.
The station's broadcast signal covers more of central and eastern Kentucky than most, if not all, of the FM radio stations in the Lexington radio market. With a nearly 100-mile radius coverage area, it can be listened to in the Louisville metropolitan area in the west and well past Morehead to the east. It can also be picked up in the Northern Kentucky suburbs of Cincinnati and as far south as Corbin.[original research?] The station is currently owned by Cumulus Media.[1]
History
The station went on the air as WVLK-FM on April 2, 1979. On September 29, 2003, the station changed its call sign to the current WLXX.[2] On May 24, 2013 at 12:00PM, WLXX rebranded as Nash FM 92.9.
