WHFX (107.7 FM) is a radio station broadcasting an album oriented rock format. Licensed to Darien, Georgia, USA, the station serves the Brunswick area. The station is owned by iHeartMedia, Inc., through licensee AMFM Radio Licenses, L.L.C.[1]

History

The station went on the air as WYNR on 1991-09-09. On 2002-10-08, the station changed its call sign to WBGA, and on 2005-04-04 to the current WHFX.[2]

On May 15, 2014, Qantum Communications announced that it would sell its 29 stations, including WHFX, to Clear Channel Communications for WALK AM-FM in Patchogue, New York as part of the sale of the WALK stations to Connoisseur Media.[3] The transaction was consummated on September 9, 2014.
