Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport (IATA: LKO, ICAO: VILK), is situated at Amausi, serving the city of Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh, India.

On 17 July 2008, Government of India officially renamed the airport Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport.[5] The airport was granted international status by the Union Cabinet on 3 October 2012.[6]

Expansion

The Airport Authority of India is planning[7] to expand the runway of the airport so that large aircraft, like the Boeing 777, can land there and there is also a plan for the expansion of the Terminal 1 of the airport with an aerobrige so that more passengers can fly from there.

Terminals

The airport has two terminals, the second integrated terminal was completed in April 2012.[8] The terminal was inaugurated by civil aviation minister Ajit Singh on 19 May 2012, before opening on 2 June 2012.[9] Terminal 1 is used for international flights. Airport Authority of India has decided expansion of Terminal 1. Terminal 2 is used for national flights.[10]
