Schedule

Wikipedia Day 2018 will be a modified unconference, with dedicated plenary sessions (organized on this wiki), lightning talks to the whole assembly, and open space sessions. The Lightning Talks and Open Space will be determined during the event itself, so bring your ideas with you.

Rooms

There are open rooms! The conference will feature opportunities for you or anyone else to speak on stage to all attendees and invite a small group to a breakout sessions to discuss any topic which matters to you! This is an interactive event so plan to participate!

The event will be in four areas on the lower level of Ace Hotel New York:

  • Liberty Hall is the main space for all plenary sessions. The Internet Society will livestream and record all talks here. See keynotes and panel sessions in this track.
  • Commons Bar, a breakout room with table for 15 people to have a focused discussion

  • Meta Room, Please speak on video at anytime during the day! This room has a camera and microphone setup for 1-2 people to share any story for upload to Wikimedia Commons and elsewhere. If you will present for 2-4 minutes, then you will get a video to promote your project, record your thoughts, or teach any wiki-lesson that you want to pass around on video.
