KKYS (104.7 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a Hot Adult Contemporary format. Licensed to Bryan, Texas, USA, the station serves the College Station area. The station is currently owned by iHeartMedia, Inc..[1]

History

The station went on the air as KFFV on February 7, 1984. On May 29, 1984, the station changed its call sign to the current KKYS. On January 16, 1998, it switched to KOZN, and switched back to the current KKYS later on the same day. In 2009 the station softened to adult contemporary format but still kept its slogan of "a better mix".[2]

Also known as KKYS/KISS 105. The frequency of 104.9 was changed back in 1991 to 104.7.[clarification needed]
