Template:Contains Perso-Arabic text The "National Anthem of the Islamic Republic of Iran" (Persian: سرود ملی جمهوری اسلامی ایران, romanized: Sorude Melliye Jomhuriye Eslâmiye Irân; pronounced [sʊˌɾuːde melˌlije d͡ʒʊmhuːˌɾije eslɒːˌmije iːˈɾɒn]) was composed by Hassan Riyahi, with words written by Aiadan Maroni. The national anthem was adopted by Iran in 1990, replacing the previous national anthem used during the time of Ayatollah Khomeini, called Payandeh Bada Iran.[1]

The national anthem of Iran was adopted in the year 1990, replacing the previous national anthem that was used during Ayatollah Khomeini's reign.
