AC/DC First studio release since 2000's Stiff Upper Lip. The band's new album is rumored to be a double album.
Aerosmith First album of original material since 2001's Just Push Play. A new album was to be released in 2006, but guitarist Joe Perry announced that it would not be recorded and released until this year as they are currently touring with Mötley Crüe.[5]
Against Me! Signed on to Sire Records to record major label album for sometime in 2007.
Alice in Chains First studio release since their 1995 self-titled album. Drummer Sean Kinney has said in an interview that he would be interested in writing new material, but it is unclear if their new singer William DuVall, the replacement of the late Layne Staley, will record it.
Angels and Airwaves DeLonge confirmed that "The Gift" is planned to be the next single after "The War". The band is also currently at work on their second record. An album name has not yet been issued, but internet rumors suggest Mark Hoppus is to guest star on a song titled "Feels Like Motion Control"
Anthrax Despite the 2005 tour reunion, guitarist Scott Ian confirmed that the Among the Living line up will not be recording the next Anthrax album, but the album has already been written.[6]
Armored Saint First studio release since 2000's Revelation. There are some fans expecting a new Armored Saint album, but singer John Bush has not revealed any plans for it.
Atreyu Late They are set to go into the recording studio for their fourth studio album on Hollywood Records, Victory Records is releasing a best of album.
Avenged Sevenfold Late The band revealed plans to record a new album early this year.[7]
Babyshambles Unknown The band announced to record and release a new album sometime this year.
Bon Jovi April On a television show in early December 2006, Jon Bon Jovi confirmed that they would be finished the new album by Christmas 2006. The album is rumoured to be more country/rock then previous albums.
Brandy Second Quarter of 2007 Will be Brandy's 5th studio album. Previous album was the Grammy nominated Afrodisiac. Confirmed to be working with Rodney Jerkins, The Neptunes, Bryce Wilson, and Bryan Michael Cox.
Chris Brown May Has confirmed the idea of putting the album out around his birthday.
Cher Unknown Her new studio album is due for release sometime in 2007 and is supposed to be going back to her 80's rock days
Cheyenne Kimball November Her second sophomore album will feature a mixture of indie and pop music.
Circa Survive The band announced they are recording a new album on their myspace page. The band stated they would keep their fans posted via their website, Myspace page, Purevolume page, and Youtube page. Guitarist Colin Frangicetto said the band was in the process of editing footage for a possible DVD Release.
Circle Jerks The band reunited for a couple years and they are supposedly gearing up for their first studio album since 1995's Oddities, Abnormalities and Curiosities, but no further details have been confirmed. Their guitarist Greg Hetson has been busy with his band Bad Religion and this causes the Circle Jerks to hold off on a new album.
The Click Five Album announced on their Myspace speculated for 2007.
Clutch Early The band recently announced plans to record their new album in October 2006.[8]

Dinosaur Jr. First studio release since 1997's Hand It Over and also their first with the original line-up since 1988's Bug.
Down The band was promising a follow-up to 2002's Down II in 2006, but bassist Rex Brown claims that a new one would most likely surface as soon as January of this year.
Dream Theater Spring/Summer Currently in a New York recording studio, writing/recording new material.
Fear Factory Late The band will begin writing a new album this summer, making it likely that it would surface in late 2007 or early 2008. [2] The band recently left Liquid 8 Records and this will mark the first Fear Factory album not released on that label since 2001's Digimortal.

Michael Jackson Fall 2007 Michael Jackson's first studio album since 2001's multi-platinum selling Invincible. Jackson will be working with record producers such as Will.I.Am & Teddy Riley. Jackson will be writing the majority of the album by himself. It has been rumored the album will feature duets with Jackson's sister, music icon, Janet Jackson as well as Mary J. Blige.
Jim Florio & The Urban Decay March 2007 The band's first LP is expected to be released in March of 2007. It has been rumored that the band is currently adding some "finishing touches" to the music and also working on at least two other albums, to be released later this year. No formal announcement regarding record label, distribution or touring has been made yet.
Jimmy Eat World Early/Mid-2007 Reported on Myspace to be in the studio, being more and more hinted for a first quarter release.

Leona Lewis The X Factor winner will begin recording her debut album in April or May 2007, having signed a $9.7million record deal with Clive Davis in February.

Voivod Drummer Michel "Away" Langevin recently confirmed that the band are planning to start work on their next album this winter.[11] This will mark the first Voivod album recorded without original guitarist Denis "Piggy" D'Amour, who passed away from colon cancer on August 26, 2005, and it will also be the third recorded with bassist Jason Newsted (from Metallica).
Theory of a Deadman This band is rumored to have another CD out sometime this year. It has been confirmed that they are recording now.
The White Stripes Jack White has confirmed that he and Meg have been working on songs while The Raconteurs are on break.
Within Temptation Early Their new album will be released in March in Europe and the US
