National Highway 40 (NH 40) (combination of previous National Highway 4 and 18) is a National Highway in India. It starts at National Highway 44 (India) junction at Kurnool and passes through Kadapa and Chittoor and terminates at Ranipet in Tamil Nadu.[1][2] It is called Rayalaseema Express Highway. The highway was transformed into four lanes between Kurnool and Kadapa .
Route
It starts at Kurnool and passes through Nandyal, Kadapa, Chittoor and ends at Ranipet. It runs for a distance of 392.00 km (243.58 mi) in Andhra Pradesh and 32.00 km (19.88 mi) in Tamil Nadu.[2]
