Seeing Raman's innocence, Ishita proves his innocence to the world, having Nidhi arrested. With this, Ishita returns home. With all that sorted, Ishita and Raman begin work on Aditya's marriage with Aliya. But, due to circumstances, in Khandpur village, Adi is forcefully married to Roshini. Adi is reluctant to accept his marriage with her and desperately tries to get the issue sorted. Unknowingly, Roshini end up in Bhalla house where Raman and Ishita take responsibility of her, helping her pursue her IPS aspirations. On the day of Adi and Aliya's wedding, the truth is revealed and despite that, Adi and Aliya get married. Following the marriage, some legal complications occur but Raman and Ishita sort them out.

However, being in-law's takes a toll on them as problems arise between the newly wed and the elders, creating a rift in the family. Once that is sorted, Adi and Aliya head off to their honeymoon where things go wrong with the entry of Aliya college friend, Nikhil. Misunderstandings happen between Adi and Aliya and this creates a fight between Raman and Mani. However, in a crude accident, Mani is presumed Dead. The whole family strive to find the killer so that Raman is acquitted of the charges. As they prove Raman's innocence, it is revealed that the one who dies was not Mani, but simply an imposter. During the whole process, Ruhi develops a bond with Pihu's Bully turned friend, Riya.

Soon, Ruhi develops feelings for Nikhil and it is revealed that Riya is Nikhil's daughter with Pooja, his ex-wife. AS Raman steadfastly rejects their love, Ruhi and Raman both take drastic steps. In an effort to keep things calm, Ishita is put in peril where she stands by Ruhi, breaking Raman's heart. This leads to more conflict as Ishita slowly realises that she may have made a wrong decision with supporting Nikhil. As Nikhil's true colours are slowly revealed to Raman and Ishita, they struggle as parents, being forced to watch while their daughter goes mad in love with the wrong person. The story currently revolves around Ruhi's Marriage with Nikhil and once that issue is sorted the show is expected to take a leap, with shooting occurring in Budapest. Reception

Despite being on run for nearly two years it was still one of the highest rated shows on Indian television in January 2016 when it was ranked third in TRP ratings chart. Starting from January 2017, the show has begun to falter in the TRP ratings as the show's focus shifted to the new generation.[40] Nevertheless the show is very popular in the UK, being most watched Indian show, even after nearly 4 years of its inception.[41][42]
