I am a scientist who has worked with both animals and alpine plants, but interested in obscure taxa more generally, so that I end up working on other groups (including other kingdoms) as well, all of which means that the only word left that can accurately describe me is "biologist". I believe in the preservation of "foreign" accents and characters when writing in English, rather than the naïve façade of alphabetic purism. I am a regular helper at WP:RM, and a sorter of categories (see for example the guidelines for the ordering of biographical articles in categories).
