In 1992, the series began a full re run on the newly launched satellite station UK Gold, It showed the first episode on the second day of the channel on 2nd November 1992 with episodes being shown 3 times a day (9am, 1pm and 8pm at time at launch with a Saturday omnibus edition as well) and showed on weekdays. As soon as the episodes nearly caught up with the then present ones on BBC1, UK Gold decided to rerun from the beginning again. The original run ended at episode 975 (17th May 1994) on 26th July 1996 and the station showed sitcoms for a few weeks until EastEnders returned on 26th August with the first episode. This run lasted well until 2008 when UKTV Gold (which had been rebranded since 2004) was relaunched as a comedy channel and the last episode was shown on 1st October 2008 with episode 3083 (13 January 2006). By then the channel only had one showing in the morning at 730am. The series then moved to Watch in January 2009 starting from the episode continued from UKTV Gold but ended the run at the end of April 2009.
