July 2022[edit]

  1. Made in Timeland: nominated at AfD; notified Dotoilage (talk · contribs) 14:06, 12 July 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: It appears there is only one source present in the article that is specifically about the album release, that being Live for Live Music which doesn't even have the album's name in it. Others cover the cancelled festival, aborted release plans, and other KG projects from around that time where the album is mentioned secondarily, but there is very little material about the album itself here. I've found zero reviews from major online publications (if someone has access to magazine archives to confirm there's nothing there either that'd help, but Album of the Year doesn't list any so I'm doubtful).
  2. Acoustic (Joey Cape and Tony Sly album): nominated at AfD; notified JackShestak (talk · contribs) 08:41, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Only present source is from their record label, zero significant coverage found. Found a few for Acoustic Volume Two (which is a different album in case that's not clear) so be wary of that if you go searching. Shame 'cause I love this album, but thems the breaks.
  3. Trésor (album): nominated at AfD; notified Ildace (talk · contribs) 14:03, 29 July 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Found no significant coverage. Did chart in France and Wallonia but it is my understanding the rules are clear that charting alone =/= notability clearance, and that's all the album has going for it.

August 2022[edit]

  1. Marc Donato: nominated at AfD; notified Stubby688 (talk · contribs) 05:14, 6 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Only one of three sources appears to be reliable, that being Dread Central (though it links to the wrong article; can't find the correct one but there is this DVD review). Per this discussion, filmreference.com is blacklisted (though I only see bfilmreference.com on the actual list, a site which doesn't appear to exist; might that be a typo?), and the third is IMDb. Search turned up no further reliable coverage.
  2. Category:School Boy Records singles: nominated at CfD (CfM); merging to Category:Schoolboy Records singles; notified Erpert (talk · contribs) 08:54, 6 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: As far as I can tell, the official name of the record label is "Schoolboy" despite inconsistencies here on WP and elsewhere. Both label founder Scooter Braun's website and Republic Records' have it that way so I'm at least pretty sure that's right. Target category was made by mistake from an assumption that no such category existed; turns out it does, just under a different spelling. The article it was made for, Western Wind (Carly Rae Jepsen song), has one source covering its label which also uses the no-spaces spelling. Needs a merger either way as both categories are covering the same subject and are redundant, just want it clear which I believe is the correct name.
  3. Draft:It's Almost Dry: nominated at MfD; notified Samchandi (talk · contribs) 09:02, 6 August 2022 (UTC)
  4. Draft:Western Wind: nominated at MfD; notified Jepsenstan (talk · contribs) 09:02, 6 August 2022 (UTC)
  5. Touch the Sun: nominated at AfD; notified DefLeppardVanHalen (talk · contribs) 12:23, 30 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Per lack of notability. Found no sources covering the album. At the very least I doubt it's notable enough to not be disambiguated while the TV series and the song are.
  6. Crusade Cycle: nominated at RM; New name: Crusade cycle 20:11, 30 August 2022 (UTC)

September 2022[edit]

  1. Danger Mouse (musician): nominated at RM; New name: Danger Mouse 03:56, 1 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Pageviews consistently far above other articles with the same name.
  2. Hell Is Here (Cryalot song): nominated at RM; New name: Hell Is Here (song) 15:26, 2 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: The only other song mentioned on WP with this name is a non-single from Saves the Day's album Sound the Alarm. The song is only mentioned once in that album article outside of the track list (and nowhere on the band's article), and I'm not convinced of its independent notability. The Cryalot article was originally created under the "(song)" title but was moved by User:Starcheerspeaksnewslostwars, and while I asked them about it on the talk page, they did not respond. Pinging them here so they have a chance for rebuttal.
  3. Gamebox 1.0: nominated at AfD; notified Mattsell (talk · contribs) 13:40, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Tagged as unsourced for over a year, doesn't appear to have ever had sources, and my search didn't come up with any useful coverage.
  4. Galahad (UK band): nominated at RM; New name: Galahad (band) 19:58, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
  5. Songs I Wrote with Amy: nominated at AfD; notified Ggeek123 (talk · contribs) 23:51, 8 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Did not find coverage to meet notability. Not certain if sugarscape.com source is good or not but it alone is not enough and the other sources definitely don't clear.
  6. 1st (The Rasmus EP): nominated at AfD; notified Mathias-90 (talk · contribs) 21:29, 10 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Unsourced since at least last year, couldn't find any coverage myself. Redirect to The Rasmus discography.
  7. 2nd (The Rasmus EP): nominated at AfD; notified Mathias-90 (talk · contribs) 21:30, 10 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Unsourced since at least last year, couldn't find any coverage myself. Redirect to The Rasmus discography.
  8. 3rd (The Rasmus EP): nominated at AfD; notified Mathias-90 (talk · contribs) 21:30, 10 September 2022 (UTC)
  9. You See Me: nominated at AfD; notified NewOrleans4Life (talk · contribs) 09:37, 17 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Zero reliable sources for over a decade and I couldn't find any coverage myself.
  10. Bringin' It All Back Home (Johnny Copeland album): nominated at RM; New name: Bringin' It All Back Home 23:46, 19 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Target currently directs to Bob Dylan's Bringing It All Back Home which, while clearly the far more notable project, does not use the "Bringin'" spelling in its article. This Johnny Copeland album should be the more precise target. And I'm sure nobody would mind a nice hatnote back to the Dylan.
  11. Pissed Tae Th' Gills: nominated at AfD; notified Natt the Hatt (talk · contribs) 17:16, 22 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Unsourced for nearly a decade and I couldn't find anything. That Internet Archive only has one result seems especially telling. Redirect to The_Real_McKenzies#Discography.
And while I'm here, does anyone know if the title is capitalised correctly? It is my understanding that "Tae Th'" is equivalent to "to the", and that would definitely be lowercase per MOS:TITLECAPS, but does the same apply here? Not that it'd matter if this gets wiped but it'd useful to know in general.
  12. David Meltzer (writer): nominated at AfD; notified Kevin Winzer (talk · contribs) 11:39, 25 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/David Meltzer (writer) ended with no consensus because two votes dismissed it given the sockpuppet account behind the nomination, but without much else for arguments. The point was raised about being an award recipient but with a counterargument that neither award are themself significant enough to count toward an ANYBIO pass.
Tagging Kevin Winzer, BilletsMauves, and Extraordinary Writ, my fellow non-sock participants in the prior AfD. My argument remains the same (only one source for SIGCOV) though with the added note that the article is also an ORPHAN, and I'm also changing my vote to redirect to Dave Meltzer (the sports journalist, which is a type of writing); my initial participation in the first AfD was based on assuming it was about him anyway.
  13. Christmas Is Here (Collabro album): nominated at AfD; notified Greenock125 (talk · contribs) 14:05, 25 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Sources on page are all primaries/commercial save for the charting. Only coverage I could find was this review (doubtful reliability) and this interview (which appears to be about the lead single more than the album itself, though I haven't listened to confirm). There's other coverage around the tour of the same name but none of them mention the album in more than passing. OfficialCharts.com is giving me trouble so I can't check the charting right now, but I suspect it wasn't for more than a week on each given the low peaks. Redirect to Collabro#Albums.
  14. Angelic 2 the Core: nominated at AfD; notified ARtking (talk · contribs) 01:18, 27 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Okay, so this one seems to be a bit of a notability edge case. More of a request for a checkup than a definite "this needs deleting" AfD, but with the asterisk that I'm here because this very well could get deleted at the end of this discussion. The only source I'm 100% sure on is the Sputnikmusic review (It's a user review, see the WP:RSMUSIC entry). The People piece is partly about the album and ostensibly exists because of its release, but fundamentally is a retrospective on the artist's film career without any interest in the album past the opening paragraphs. Complex is basically just an album announcement, it is technically coverage by a reliable source but it's not much. No clue about Cracked, I have doubts but am unsure either way. The only other coverage I could find was two interviews from Yahoo and Icon Vs. Icon which I'm not quite sure if they clear Wikipedia:Interviews#Notability. There's also Anthony Fantano's review but of course WP has a lot of feelings about Fantano so I don't even really wanna touch that one. Doesn't appear the album charted/got certified anywhere. As I said, I don't know if what's here so far is enough so I'm abstaining from voting (though if it comes down to deleting then I support a redirect to the artist's page) and so I leave it to my fellow editors.
  15. Kris Barras Band: nominated at AfD; notified Heartgears (talk · contribs) 16:46, 28 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Doesn't appear to pass notability per what's on the page and the only additional coverage I found that I'm at least somewhat confident in is this interview with Louder Sound (or Classic Rock or whatever it's called). Might be worth a redirect to either Mascot Label Group or Provogue Records but I wouldn't complain about a straight delete.
  16. Blair Daly: nominated at AfD; notified Stylefest (talk · contribs) 17:19, 28 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Potentially non-notable songwriter. None of the sources on page are any good (the only reliable publication is just covering a song he has a writing credit on, it's not an article about him). I did find this interview, this one about a group he's a part of, and these two about him signing with Concord Music Group, but I'm not confident in any of 'em.
  17. Shelley FKA DRAM: nominated at RM; New name: DRAM (musician) 00:33, 30 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: He's changed his name back per announcements of his upcoming album ([1][2][3])
  18. Draft:The End So Far: nominated at MfD; notified MRNERD436 (talk · contribs) 00:55, 30 September 2022 (UTC)
  19. Glam pop: nominated at AfD; notified Yeeho~enwiki (talk · contribs) 02:40, 30 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: From the sources I've been able to find, I can see some which appear to be using "glam pop"/"glam-pop" interchangeably with "glam rock" but none definitely calling them the same. I didn't see any mentions of New Romantic. Can't really see a justification for this term leading to either page. It was an orphan before I saw the glam-pop page which redirected to glam rock which I moved to here, and at least one of the two pages that use that redirect would probably make more sense linking directly to/using the term glam rock anyway. This page hasn't had very significant page view numbers in the last year, only once breaking 200 in a month, so I don't know that the term will be missed either.

October 2022[edit]

  1. Jen Dawson: nominated at AfD; notified Bessiya (talk · contribs) 06:32, 2 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: I admit my unfamiliarity with the sources that would be typical of an article on a fashion model so my ability to perform a WP:BEFORE search is somewhat limited, but so far as I can tell the sources present are no good (including the Daily Record article) for proving notability. In my search, I didn't see anything that looked like it would support this article, but again I could be mistaken in that regard. A redirect to Virgil_Howe#Personal_life seems most appropriate.
  2. Stereo Satellite: nominated at AfD; notified Jax 0677 (talk · contribs) 06:55, 5 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Was made aware of this by its use as an example of a miserable failure of an AfD. I've had a look at that previous AfD, and I find it competely silly. To cover the arguments made in that discussion (as well as the other most common option):
#There is no keep argument here; as was said previously, the present sources are all restating the same material as each other, and that material is all glorified press releases anyway.
#There's barely a valid merge argument either; this article is two sentences long and the fact that those sentences haven't already been added to any of the three linked band members' articles seems telling regarding notability/how much editors care about this band. You could copy-paste them into those articles (although I'm currently strongly questioning the notability of all three) but an official merge vote puts way more weight behind this scrap than it deserves.
#And then, of course, there's the dreaded "How do we redirect to one band member over the others if multiple are notable?" question. First, that's assuming they are which I'm not convinced of; and second, surely the easiest answer then is to delete and let the search term guide users to where they want to go. All three members come up in the top five search results for the term, findability isn't that big an issue.
And by my count, that leaves the delete option. And that's the one I support. Now hopefully this AfD goes more smoothly than the last one.
  3. John Moyer: nominated at AfD; notified Jcurtis (talk · contribs) 07:04, 5 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Cannot find coverage and doesn't appear to meet any other WP:MUSICBIO criteria aside from #6.
  4. Mike Orlando: nominated at AfD; notified Pax:Vobiscum (talk · contribs) 07:07, 5 October 2022 (UTC)
  5. Lukas Rossi: nominated at AfD; notified Headtale (talk · contribs) 07:10, 5 October 2022 (UTC)
  6. Paws.: nominated at AfD; notified Tomred90 (talk · contribs) 14:46, 7 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: With the addition of the reviews from Gigwise and Rock Sound I was able to find, this might, at the absolute barest minimum, scrape by SIGCOV. That, of course, is assuming the reliability of The Fly (whose review is archived here), a publication I'm completely unfamiliar with. So maybe, just maybe, this could be a keep, but I'm very unconfident in it. I vote redirect to Pull_Tiger_Tail#Discography (although that's gonna need a check for sources as well, it's not looking very good either).
  7. The Lost World (album): nominated at AfD; notified Tomred90 (talk · contribs) 15:21, 7 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Currently unsourced and I found zero coverage. Not even blogs or press releases or anything. Redirect to Pull_Tiger_Tail#Discography.
  8. Alice Di Micele: nominated at AfD; notified Onthebus (talk · contribs) 04:06, 8 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Article is unsourced and I couldn't find any coverage. Article was under PROD which was removed then readded by User:Anachronist who claims to have found sources and may have an argument for WP:DRAFTIFY. I didn't see any coverage so I'm personally leaning toward delete, but I'd like to hear them out first. Also pinging User:UtherSRG who initiated the PROD.
  9. $1,000,000 Worth of Twang: nominated at AfD; notified Cbl62 (talk · contribs) 07:00, 9 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: I'm hesitant regarding this one. Given the amount of hits and the charting this album did, I figured it'd be easier to find coverage, but I couldn't. I saw dozens of books recording its chart placement, but the only prose aside from that pitifully short AllMusic review is in this book from 2011, and even that might only be a passing mention (I can't access the whole book to tell). I imagine this is more a case of non-digitized coverage than lack thereof, but I can't leave the page as is and I don't like just leaving a WP:DRIVEBY tag and hoping someone else takes care of it eventually. So I bring it here. If nothing's found and it has to go, my vote is to redirect to Duane_Eddy#Compilations.
  10. Patrick Wilson (New Zealand actor): nominated at AfD; notified Freakyfriday (talk · contribs) 12:53, 12 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Difficult to complete a BEFORE search because of the mix of sources with ones about Patrick Wilson (American actor) but so far as I can tell there isn't SIGCOV for this guy. Clearly other editors have also noticed this given the tags on the page. May just barely meet WP:NACTOR #1 though I'm not too familiar with the work he's done and couldn't guarantee any of it meets the requirements. If deleted, would also recommend moving Patrick Wilson (American actor) to Patrick Wilson (actor) (which already redirects there anyway).
  11. I/O (album): nominated at AfD; notified 172.151.113.3 (talk · contribs) 03:43, 14 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: At the very least, this is edging on WP:CRYSTAL. Current only sourcing on a release date [4] says album in 2022 (which has been misread as releasing in 2023; that date is referring to the tour) but given how late in the year we are that date feels less than certain. No recent sources have confirmed the name (American Songwriter calls it a "working title") and most of those sources are unreliable anyway. Redirect to Peter Gabriel discography; redirect is especially preferable given this could turn around at any time so it'll be good to preserve the page history in case it's needed.
  12. Draft:Human Overboard: nominated at MfD 15:02, 15 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: WP:SRE to James_and_the_Shame#Human_Overboard. Mainspace under this name already redirects there and the material is essentially the same, just centering the artist as subject rather than the album, and there's not much point in having them separate so this draft is kind of a waste now. Not enough unique material to try and push for a merge; there are quotes here that aren't in the JatS article but the sources are there so those can be pulled at any time easily.
  13. Vitalij Kuprij: nominated at AfD; notified Piguezapig~enwiki (talk · contribs) 16:38, 18 October 2022 (UTC)
  14. Heath McIvor: nominated at AfD; notified Sham1000 (talk · contribs) 03:34, 20 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Originally proposed at Talk:Randy_Feltface#Merger_proposal but didn't realise this would be the better place for it to actually get attention and had forgotten about the proposal until just now. As I wrote there, I couldn't find much coverage of McIvor outside of his work with the Randy Feltface character and I'm not convinced he should have a separate article. The coverage already here is weak enough that I don't see a notability pass, and the info is small enough that it could be crammed into a section of the Feltface article.
  15. Pony (dance): nominated at AfD; notified 65.107.125.249 (talk · contribs) 03:48, 20 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Made a merger proposal here for this a few months ago and forgot about it. Realised now this should be the proper venue for it, especially since nobody ever responded to that proposal and it's been sitting since. Neither this nor the target article have been edited since my proposal so everything I said there still stands.
  16. Crusade (comics): nominated at AfD; notified Gui.rater (talk · contribs) 01:03, 22 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Does not appear to meet GNG, could not find reliable coverage. Coverage may appear in French-language publications that I don't have access to, but I at least didn't see anything in English. And for what it's worth, doesn't appear to meet any of WP:BOOKCRIT either though I'm aware that isn't meant to specifically apply to comics.
  17. Sonhos tomam conta: nominated at AfD; notified Anarchyte (talk · contribs) 05:04, 23 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Stretching for notability with these current sources. Vulture only mentions sonhos once in passing. Paste is about the split album but doesn't really talk about sonhos as an artist. Sputnik is a staff review but I've always found the website somewhat questionable and I wouldn't feel comfortable counting it for notability. Stereogum discusses the album as a Parannoul project that happens to have two other artists on it which feels too dismissive to count. And the Musica Instantanea might just be press release rewrites; I also can't speak to the reliability of that website as I've never seen it before and it's only used on one other EN WP article (The Smile's "Pana-vision"; see here). Didn't find any additional coverage and this doesn't meet anything else on WP:MUSICBIO. I could see her meeting notability some day in the future but I don't think she's there yet.
  18. JoLi: nominated at AfD; notified Halle Leah (talk · contribs) 23:54, 23 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Hard to say exactly how much this meets WP:COMPOSER. I definitely didn't see SIGCOV so that's off the table, but with their sole notable writing credit on "Everything Is Awesome" they pass clause one ("Has credit for writing or co-writing either lyrics or music for a notable composition."). The song also meets multiple parts of WP:MUSICBIO (charting, certs, Grammy nom, etc.) and the duo might also count as "an ensemble that contains two or more independently notable musicians" (although I think the notability of at least one of them is also highly questionable, possibly both), but I'm not sure if those guidelines apply here since they're only songwriters/producers in this duo even though they're also performing musicians in their individual work. It all feels too reliant on the one song credit to be anything but a stretch, but it looks like their non-notability is less obvious than what I immediately thought.
  19. Lisa Harriton: nominated at AfD; notified Esterman (talk · contribs) 00:04, 24 October 2022 (UTC)
  20. Joshua Bartholomew: nominated at AfD; notified Halle Leah (talk · contribs) 09:59, 24 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Does not appear to be notable beyond his writing credit on "Everything Is Awesome". The rest of the coverage in the article is either from sources I wouldn't guarantee to be reliable (such as a non-notable local paper from Alliston, Ontario), isn't actually about him (such as the Deadline article on the cancelled TV pilot that doesn't mention his name at all), or is just blatantly unreliable like Ron Sexsmith's own website. Several sources are dead though findable through the Web Archive but even all those didn't add much promise to this article, and I couldn't find any additional coverage either.
  21. Shawn Patterson (composer): nominated at AfD; notified Aprilajune (talk · contribs) 10:27, 24 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Does not appear to be notable beyond his writing credit on "Everything Is Awesome". Getting a Washington Post interview is big, but it explicitly calls him an unknown and also I'd consider it a primary interview. Beyond that you've got ASCAP (is that even considered a reliable publication?) and everything else is just for the awards he was nominated for without any in-depth coverage of the actual guy. Interestingly, the article was first created with all the current tags in place except for notability, and unfortunately the article improvements since have mostly been the couple dozen majorly unsourced paragraphs of prose and the list of TV credits.
  22. Icarus (Cryalot EP): nominated at RM (technical); New name: Icarus (EP) 10:52, 24 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Currently redirects to band who released The Icarus Lives EP, also a redirect to that band page after being deemed non-notable a few years ago. And the titles aren't even so similar that it would make for a useful search term to the Periphery page.
  23. Labyrinth (Elisa song): nominated at AfD; notified Mr.mustache (talk · contribs) 10:57, 24 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Unsourced, found no additional coverage. Redirect to Pipes & Flowers (although that article is also highly questionable; haven't got time to check right now though).
  24. Labyrinth (Oomph! song): nominated at AfD; notified Plastik11 (talk · contribs) 10:35, 25 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Only source is the band's own website, ELs are their website and Myspace page. Couldn't find any actual coverage. The album's and band's pages don't look too much better so it's weird to recommend a redirect when it might end up leading to another deleted page in the near future, but I suppose the former will do for the time being.
  25. Monster (Oomph! album): nominated at AfD; notified SpeederYR (talk · contribs) 10:48, 25 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Nothing on page to clear notability and all I could find was this charting in a few countries. That alone certainly doesn't convince me.
  26. Jamie Muhoberac: nominated at AfD; notified Bondegezou (talk · contribs) 10:05, 26 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: One source is from the synthesizer company Moog Music and definitely not a reliable source, the other is an interview with the artist's daughter which doesn't even mention him by name. Found no reliable coverage.
  27. Parrish Muhoberac: nominated at AfD; notified Waltaburge (talk · contribs) 10:14, 26 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Sole source on page is about a different artist's album and only mentions that Muhoberac plays on the album. Found no additional coverage.
  28. Draft:Goblins from Mars: nominated at MfD; notified Mirk0dex (talk · contribs) 07:54, 27 October 2022 (UTC)
  29. David Della Rocco: nominated at AfD; notified 128.192.238.145 (talk · contribs) 05:16, 28 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Could not find coverage, does not appear to meet GNG. No notable roles beyond The Boondock Saints (per the sequel's page, he only appears in "flashbacks and dream sequences" and I know he dies in the first one so I'm guessing that wouldn't constitute a significant role). Redirect to The Boondock Saints.
  30. Touch the Sun (TV series): nominated at AfD; notified Doug butler (talk · contribs) 14:40, 28 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: A bit ago I came across this page and found the sourcing on it potentially questionable. Between the Sources and External links sections, I see three different databases (MemorableTV, Australian Screen Online, and Oz Movies), an interview with one of the actors, a wikilink to the series' executive producer, and a couple other items, none of which I would considered reliable. There's also a long list of pages from the Australian Children's Television Foundation whose reliability I was unsure about, and since there's over a dozen of those I decided against touching the page due to my unfamiliarity. But just now I come back here and notice that the ACTF produced the series which I think makes all of those annual reports primary sources. If I've understood correctly, that means there's zero reliable sources on this page currently.
Now as I said, I am very unfamiliar with Australian television (let alone Australian anything; I am an American after all) and so I'm not entirely confident in the results of my BEFORE search, so please don't assume I've ruled out additional coverage here. This could easily be a case of "Sources exist but nobody's gathered them yet", and I just can't find them myself for whatever reason. But without that, the only thing I see for notability here is an International Emmy win in 1988.
  31. Move Me (Lewis OfMan and Carly Rae Jepsen song): nominated at RM; New name: Move Me (song) 04:51, 29 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: No other songs with the name have articles currently. There are two redirects to albums by Charli XCX and Gucci Mane but both were deep cuts and not likely to receive articles.
  32. Template:Song ratings: nominated at TfD (merge); Other template: Template:Album ratings; notified Rdavi404 (talk · contribs) 06:18, 29 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Aside from some minor visual differences (text alignment, text size, etc.), I'm not sure I see the difference between these two templates or any reason for them to be separate. Both use the same code (stated explicitly at Template_talk:Song_ratings#Just created this template), both have a default title of "Professional ratings" which can apply to any release without issue, and it appears that song ratings only appears on a few dozen pages compared to album ratings' thousands. Perhaps renaming album ratings to something more general like "music ratings" would help eliminate potential confusion. I think that's a much better solution than just having two separate templates that accomplish the exact same task.

November 2022[edit]

  1. Stardom (EP): nominated at AfD; notified Abdotorg (talk · contribs) 13:52, 1 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not a deletion proposal rather than an ask. I think this could be a weak keep just with what's here but I'm curious what other editors think. Between the #1 charting in Korea and the Chosun coverage (considered reliable per WP:KO/RS) it could maybe scrape by. Both the Chosun sources were my finds from a month ago and I don't remember finding anything else but maybe there's more out there. The group gets consistent coverage these days so it's not impossible. If it's not a keep then redirect to Up10tion#Extended_plays.
  2. Kiss: The Remix: nominated at AfD; notified Meluvseveryone (talk · contribs) 15:03, 1 November 2022 (UTC)
  3. Simonverse: nominated at AfD; notified Boneil0898 (talk · contribs) 14:01, 3 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: This seems like a bit of a strange one. I guess I would call it a notability issue. See, what I noticed is that the only sources in this article that support the inclusion of these series in this collected 'verse are from Twitter. I don't know if there are any special considerations for book series that have multiple notable entries, which this clearly does, but I'm not sure if that's enough to call this an established series. A few stray tweets from the authors isn't enough for notability in my experience. And the only sources I've seen that use the name "Simonverse" are only discussing Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda and its direct sequels and adaptations thereof, not The Hate U Give or anything else. I guess a redirect to Simon would be most appropriate.
  4. Flamingo (Kero Kero Bonito song): nominated at AfD; notified Bait30 (talk · contribs) 18:20, 3 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not convinced the sources here meet SIGCOV altogether. The DIY page is solid, and Afterglow and Impact 89 both discuss the song to some significance but not primarily. The rest only contains passing mentions and can be ignored. Didn't find any additional coverage. Article was previously redirected, and while the coverage is definitely better now than it was then, I still don't think it's quite at the level needed to exist as a standalone article. I vote to restore the redirect to the band's page.
  5. Gamble Rogers: nominated at AfD; notified Machawk1 (talk · contribs) 23:16, 5 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Does not appear to be notable outside of the circumstances of his death and even that is slim at best. Received numerous awards but none of them appear to be notable either. His full discography has been put up for a separate AfD here and I don't see those getting saved either.
  6. Sheesh!: nominated at AfD; notified TonyTheTiger (talk · contribs) 17:16, 6 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable song. Just scraped by on the NZ charts, doesn't appear to have landed anywhere else to date. Only SIGCOV on page is about it landing in a Toyota commercial. Per Richard3120 over here, the only other coverage I was able to find is also unreliable.
  7. Natalie Walker (actress): nominated at AfD; notified Natwik (talk · contribs) 11:54, 7 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Does not appear to meet WP:BIO per lack of coverage on page and in my search. Could maybe meet WP:NACTOR #1 (though doesn't appear likely) but I'll note a precedent per this AfD that an NACTOR pass may still fail BIO (see Otr500's comment).
  8. Daughter Darling: nominated at AfD; notified Jb-adder (talk · contribs) 12:08, 7 November 2022 (UTC)
  9. Bob Degen: nominated at AfD; notified Chubbles (talk · contribs) 16:29, 7 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Only source on page is an AllMusic EL with zero reviews, only a bio. Aside from this review I found only passing mentions.
  10. Kam Parker: nominated at AfD; notified Mrenytfall (talk · contribs) 23:32, 10 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Only one source on this page is about the subject, the rest are just mentioning his writing credits on other artists' releases and I don't even know if those are all reliable. The page doesn't even mention his Grammy nomination for writing on Justin Bieber's Justice. Beyond that, the closest I can find is this barebones article about a legal claim against Usher. Doesn't pass GNG, doesn't appear to pass WP:COMPOSER. Doesn't appear to be sufficiently tied to any one subject to have a clear redirect target.
  11. Learn to Fly (Surfaces and Elton John song): nominated at AfD; notified Greenock125 (talk · contribs) 00:39, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Only further coverage I can find is further announcements of the song ([5][6][7][8][9][10]), some of which are from likely reliable sources but are mostly just stating the song exists and including the same quotes which are already in the article. uDiscoverMusic article is no good here as the band's record label 10K Projects is owned by Universal Music Group. Charting is not very significant. I think there's enough here that'd be worth a paragraph on the band's and Elton's pages but not quite enough for its own article. Merge what's keepable and redirect to The Lockdown Sessions.
  12. Error (The Warning album): nominated at AfD; notified Doomsdayer520 (talk · contribs) 19:55, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Of all the coverage on this list, only four actually mention this album. There's coverage and charting for singles for the albums but they don't name this album or even mention that it's coming. Of the four remaining sources, Live Metal is probably a blog (release announcements and news have no bylines, reviews only ever have the same name), uDiscoverMusic is owned by UMG which also owns both record labels this was released by and shouldn't be used because of that conflict of interest, and the Review Geek and Prelude Press aren't notable publications. Only additional coverage I can find is from the Honey Pop, though perhaps more exists in Spanish-language sources.

  14. Cabaret (Das Ich album): nominated at AfD; notified Alptraum (talk · contribs) 11:02, 23 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Neither source on page appears to be reliable. One is Discogs and the other is some webzine (per their about page with no apparent editorial oversight or anything else an RS needs. Found no additional coverage.

  16. Keep Away (song): nominated at AfD; notified Burningclean (talk · contribs) 12:45, 24 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Last AfD closed as no consensus just from the number of keep votes, but I'm not convinced they had it right. Of all the sources found through that process, the only one I'm convinced by is this Loudwire article. Everything else was stretching for mentions. And yes, as many including myself said in that discussion, it seems strange that there's not more coverage readily available for such a successful single. But WP:MUSTBESOURCES doesn't solve the issue here. Either we really dig deep and find more solid coverage, or we redirect to the album.

December 2022[edit]

  1. Heart on My Sleeve (Ella Mai): nominated at RM (technical); New name: Heart on My Sleeve (album) 01:09, 2 December 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Appears the only other album under this name just redirects to Mary Lambert (singer) so it shouldn't need the artist's name. The current title is a nonstandard DAB so it needs to move somewhere anyway.
  2. Claes Björklund: nominated at AfD; notified Combatt (talk · contribs) 18:06, 5 December 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: ELs on page appear to only be to databases (the last two are dead; the latter it appears the URL was taken by some dating site) that don't convey notability, and I couldn't find any coverage of Björklund that wasn't just mentioning his work as a part of iamamiwhoami. The most I got is these two interviews where his more famous bandmate Jonna Lee talks about working with him, but it's still limited to discussing the partnership and not much on him individually. Redirect to iamamiwhoami.
  3. Michael Tighe: nominated at AfD; notified Sdf$u1nfd (talk · contribs) 23:22, 5 December 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: ELs on page consist of Jeff Buckley's official site (or a fansite? Not clear), a purely primary interview, and two definitely unreliable pages in IMDb and LastFM. Only other coverage I found were interviews and unreliable sites focusing solely on Tighe's relationship with Buckley, and that's after pushing through a bunch of results about other people with the name which came first. No appearance of notability beyond that. Could redirect to either Jeff Buckley, So Real (Jeff Buckley song), or Grace (Jeff Buckley album), though none seem any more viable than the others so perhaps a delete would be easier; I'm in support of either move.
  4. Cocoon for the Golden Future: nominated at AfD; notified JpPgn (talk · contribs) 23:42, 5 December 2022 (UTC)

  5. Casio digital horn: nominated at AfD; notified ClockworkTroll (talk · contribs) 16:51, 8 December 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Could only find passing mentions, mostly related to its use in In the Aeroplane Over the Sea (look also for "zanzithophone" for more of those results), and some which were just advertisements in Billboard and other music magazines. There is this piece from Hackaday but that's all I could find that seems actually useful here.
  6. Desire, I Want To Turn Into You: nominated at RM (technical); New name: Desire, I Want to Turn Into You 13:05, 11 December 2022 (UTC)
  7. Icarus imagery in contemporary music: nominated at AfD; notified Wetman (talk · contribs) 00:41, 12 December 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Unsourced indiscriminate list. Could see this working as a subsection of Icarus with proper sourcing, and maybe that section gets big enough to split off again, but I don't see much point in calling for a merge when there's only a single entry (Måneskin's "Zitti e buoni") which is properly sourced here.
  8. Aurora (Nikolija album): nominated at AfD; notified MNO BG (talk · contribs) 15:25, 13 December 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Of the sources that aren't just Apple Music links, there's #9 which is an interview with no secondary source material; #10 which is a tabloid reporting on an Instagram post teasing the album without any substantial information on it; #11 and #13 are about her appearance on a TV show (At least I think that's what it is) which hardly say anything about the album or its songs; and #14 and #15 are about singles from the album but without saying anything about the album itself that isn't a quote from the artist in the latter. #12 shows that one of the singles charted, though not particularly impressively. Worth keeping in mind the part of WP:GNG that says "Multiple publications from the same author or organization are usually regarded as a single source for the purposes of establishing notability," relevant here as aside from the charting, the rest of those sources are all from two websites which are both at least questionably reliable. Couldn't find anything else in my search. Album does not appear to have any articles in other languages. Redirect to Nikolija (singer).
  9. Startled Calf: nominated at AfD; notified Punkrocker75 (talk · contribs) 21:54, 14 December 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Started a PROD because the coverage on this page is worthless and I found nothing else online. Seems to be essentially fancruft which is only worth remarking upon because Omar Rodriguez-Lopez is involved. Undid PROD because of the previous deletion discussion from 2006; I hope that's how that works or else this is a big waste of time. That discussion ended in deletion before the article was recreated back in 2011. It's been edited sporadically since but there's not much in the way of big changes, and especially not in terms of sourcing. Can't imagine the current article is even that much different from the 2006 version. See also the PROD on I Love Being Trendy which I looked into and certainly won't be contesting.
  10. Moments In Time: nominated at RM (technical); New name: Moments in Time 00:41, 29 December 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Caps
  11. Under the Midnight Sun (album): nominated at RM; New name: Under the Midnight Sun 00:31, 31 December 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Target currently redirects to a part of the comic series Corto Maltese which appears to be far less notable than this album. I'm finding as many results for Journey Under the Midnight Sun as the album but barely anything for the comic, so it seems reasonable to me to call the album the primary topic.

January 2023[edit]

  1. YEAR0001: nominated at RM; New name: Year0001 05:45, 1 January 2023 (UTC)

  2. Future Sound of Egypt Recordings: nominated at AfD; notified Oops4321 (talk · contribs) 14:02, 6 January 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Only source on page is primary, only other substantial coverage I found is here. All else was passing mentions amongst coverage of the radio show and their presence at concerts/festivals. I would suggest merging to Future Sound of Egypt, but that article also seems to lack significant coverage so I'll be starting an AfD there as well. If that article survives then I definitely support the merge, but if not then this should be deleted.
  3. Future Sound of Egypt: nominated at AfD; notified Canadaolympic989 (talk · contribs) 14:08, 6 January 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Three of the five sources on page are just episode listings, one is a list of radio stations they broadcast their show on, and the last is on the website of their fellow electronic music label Armada Music discussing a business partnership between the two. Did not see any substantial coverage in my search. See also Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Future Sound of Egypt Recordings; would support redirecting there if that page survives, otherwise just send this to Aly & Fila.
  4. NOAHFINNCE: nominated at AfD; notified Aifos12 (talk · contribs) 13:42, 7 January 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Coverage seems to be limited to what's on the page. The artist appears to be a rising star so perhaps it's just premature, but I don't think there's a GNG or NBAND pass here just yet.
And frankly, I admit I just want this page deleted so I can stop getting notifications for it after I made it as a redirect last year (not that this is a good reason or part of my actual argument for deletion, but I'm annoyed so I'm saying it anyway). For some reason I don't seem to have any ability to get rid of those and I'm tired of 'em.
  5. Medicinals: nominated at AfD; notified Bearcat (talk · contribs) 18:20, 7 January 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Article contains one review from a website I've never heard of. Whether that site is reliable or not, I couldn't tell you, but I can say that I didn't find any other reliable coverage on this album in my search. Redirect to Timber_Timbre#Albums.

  7. Oxnard, California: nominated at RM; New name: Oxnard 08:19, 11 January 2023 (UTC)

  8. Shauna Bloom: nominated at AfD; notified Stagegirl (talk · contribs) 11:18, 13 January 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Appears to only be notable for the one role in The Mentalist with all other work being either bit parts or non-notable works. Doesn't seem to meet GNG or NACTOR.
  9. Fresno (band): nominated at AfD; notified Krys Brazil (talk · contribs) 17:18, 16 January 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Mostly sourced to the band's own website. There are four Rolling Stone Brasil sources, but two are very short announcements of an album and a music video and one is an interview with a former member. The fourth is an album review which is something, but beside that there's only a Whiplash page which is also an album review but I couldn't speak to the reliability of that website. They do meet maybe a couple points of WP:BAND, namely the gold certifications and possibly with the several awards this page credits to them (all unsourced so needs verification + no guarantee any meet "major music award" status). Would not be surprised if they've also charted in Brazil but I couldn't find anything for that, and I'm not sure if Universal Music Brazil counts as a major record label since it just redirects back to the UMG article and isn't even mentioned by name there. Unless there's more coverage out there that I missed, keeping this would be a stretch at best.
  10. Nathan Stickman: nominated at AfD; notified Johnny1401 (talk · contribs) 01:24, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Sources on page include a very very primary-source interview (archive), two very brief announcements of local concerts (one and two), some non-notable awards from a local paper (here), a brief album review from the same local paper (here), and several primaries and blatantly unreliable pages (One CD Baby link would be bad enough). Found no additional coverage of the artist or his albums; would recommend deleting all of those too. One of them is already up for an AfD, but I didn't see anything for the rest either.
  11. Apple crumble: nominated at AfD; notified 81.129.26.250 (talk · contribs) 03:20, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: I will admit up front that I don't edit food-related articles so I don't really know what sourcing should look like in these. I assume history articles/books would be preferable, and I didn't see any of those. The best I see is these two recipes from the New York Times and the Food Network. Neither discuss history at all but I would think they'd be the most reliable you'd get, so maybe they're good for something. Otherwise I don't see what would make this keepable unless there are some other rules in an SNG that I'm unaware of.
  12. Rumours (TV series): nominated at AfD; notified Bearcat (talk · contribs) 04:43, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not easy to search but I didn't see any coverage of the show, and this article is completely unsourced. Seeing as it only lasted one season and was cancelled after less than half of its run, I doubt it's that well-remembered or covered.
  13. Rumours (album): nominated at RM; New name: Rumours 04:53, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: On the disambiguation page of this name, you've got this album, an episode of Glee named after it, a Canadian TV series which I've just launched an AfD on, and two songs that haven't got their own pages. Surely there's no way this isn't the primary subject amongst that list.
  14. Stephen Cragg: nominated at AfD; notified Sfufan2005 (talk · contribs) 17:41, 24 January 2023 (UTC)

  15. City slicker: nominated at AfD; notified Brianmacian (talk · contribs) 06:47, 25 January 2023 (UTC)

  17. Hard-Off: nominated at AfD; notified HughMorris15 (talk · contribs) 06:08, 30 January 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Heavily reliant on unreliable sources. What is maybe reliable may just barely get this to scrape by but I'm not 100% sure either way. The Ultimate Guitar review should be good per WP:RSMUSIC (note the UG Staff byline) and the Punknews.org review should be as well. I couldn't tell with Laut.de or Heavy Pop, and the Grim Tower is blatantly a blog (note [web.archive.org/web/20160331072405/http://thegrimtower.com/category/reviews/ here] where all the music reviews are by the same author). The only other potentially reliable source I've seen is from Mondo Sonoro. Other than that, this is basically all social media posts and the album's liner notes, and based on just the size of the article I suspect there may be some unsourced material in there as well. This could all be a complete nothing and me being overly stringent in applying GNG, but it doesn't hurt to ask for a second opinion just in case. It could just as easily be a late era self-release from a once-prominent act which doesn't necessarily guarantee notability.

  1. Pull my finger: nominated at AfD; notified 64.171.250.152 (talk · contribs) 05:30, 3 February 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: WP:NOTDIC. Aside from dictionary entries the only academic source I could find was The Lore and Language of Schoolchildren by Iona and Peter Opie, though both mentions of the phrase appear to be unrelated to this meaning. There was some non-academic coverage such as from Jim Dawson who appears to be more of a humor writer rather than a subject matter expert. Otherwise I don't see anything that makes this subject encyclopedic.
  2. Cdza: nominated at AfD; notified Mccontrol4life (talk · contribs) 18:54, 5 February 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Appears to be non-notable per lack of coverage beyond what's in this page and present sources being mostly unreliable, off-topic, and/or too brief to be significant. There's a section on Michael Thurber's page that covers the group which would be a good redirect target.

    • Reason: PROD was rejected, just gonna put what I wrote for that here:

"WP:DIRECTORY. Appears to only reach for notability for his Grammys (though he is among a long list of collaborators on all four of those projects) but the article severely lacks in prose and the subject severely lacks for SIGCOV (I saw interviews, including the Pitchfork one already here, but nothing else)."

User:Bri, who contested the PROD, says the Grammys should be worth a pass based on WP:NCREATIVE #4 ("has created or played a major role in co-creating a significant or well-known work or collective body of work."), but as I said I wouldn't consider it a major role because he is "among a long list of collaborators on all four of those projects".
  7. Category:Coin Coin albums: nominated at CfD (CfM); merging to Category:Matana Roberts albums; notified PerfectSoundWhatever (talk · contribs) 05:30, 9 February 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Without any other extant album articles at this time, Category:Matana Roberts albums exists solely to contain this category which serves essentially the same purpose. And even if the artist had more album articles, I don't see a purpose in separating this series from the rest except to put these in Category:Concept albums by artist, a category on the verge of being removed itself.
  8. Bryan Woods: nominated at AfD; notified Jan Slimkop (talk · contribs) 17:18, 9 February 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Proposing a merger between the Bryan Woods and Scott Beck articles. The two seem to work together exclusively save for Woods' first credits on Her Summer, and coverage in both articles reflects that exclusive relationship. Both articles are already mostly verbatim copies of each other anyway; it looks like the only big change would be the title (I'm thinking Scott Beck and Bryan Woods since sources consistently order their names that way), lead, and having multiple infoboxes or a combined one.
  9. Carter Rubin: nominated at AfD; notified Leftperson99right89all9898 (talk · contribs) 20:50, 16 February 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Issues from previous AfD still present. Reason for keeping at the time (Meeting WP:SINGER #9 without anything else) is not enough on its own for a notability pass. And there were just as many arguing that to be the case in that AfD as there were those saying it did pass so the keep closure without any relists was quite inappropriate. Redirect to The Voice (American season 19).
  10. Toneisha Harris: nominated at AfD; notified Leftperson99right89all9898 (talk · contribs) 20:55, 16 February 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Meets WP:SINGER #9 but doesn't appear to meet any other notability guidelines and I don't see a pass with that alone. All coverage I found is tied directly to The Voice so she doesn't appear to be notable independent of that. Redirect to The Voice (American season 18).

    • Reason: Single source on page is a blog post from one of the artists. Found no reliable coverage. Plenty on the three as a live band but nothing on the album. Could redirect to Silvana Estrada since her article has a couple sentences of prose on the album whereas Charlie Hunter only has it listed in his discography, but I imagine most would rather delete since it's so close anyway. If that's so, that's fine by me as well.

  15. Adam Wade (drummer): nominated at AfD; notified Spandau~enwiki (talk · contribs) 07:15, 19 February 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Appears to lack independent notability. I was about ready to bold redirect to Jawbox assuming that to be his most prominent musical role, but after looking closer that isn't quite as clear as I thought. Obviously redirecting is usually preferred (assuming there isn't a keep here that I somehow missed) but I'm not sure any of the potential targets necessarily outweigh each other and so I suspect deletion might be the better option.

  18. Draft:Regional at best: nominated at MfD; notified Sacarver1 (talk · contribs) 13:46, 25 February 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: After three separate AfDs for this album, a deletion review for the third, and the primary title page being a locked redirect, I don't see the point in trying again on this with another miscapitalized title, no sourcing, and no more prospects for notability for this subject than there were at any point in the last six years.

  20. Bill L. Norton: nominated at AfD; notified MusiCitizen (talk · contribs) 08:01, 28 February 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: The LA Times article is the only source on page which primarily discusses Norton himself and not his films independently. Couldn't find any additional coverage. Even with a WP:FILMMAKER #3 pass, I hardly find it valuable if sources only wanna mention the man in passing when he's credited for something rather than actually discuss him specifically.

  5. Isla Bevan: nominated at AfD; notified Lord Cornwallis (talk · contribs) 23:27, 8 March 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: I've found coverage ([11][12][13][14][15][16]) about a photo of Bevan holding a goose, perhaps enough to justify an article about the photo, but nothing about her as an actor or a person. The coverage of her films is also slim so I don't know about an NACTOR#1 pass.

  7. Soy Chicano Rap: nominated at AfD; notified HybridHorseman (talk · contribs) 23:03, 12 March 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Redirected all four albums by this artist because the coverage on page (AllMusic pages with no editorial coverage, an MTV.com bio which doesn't provide much info on any individual release, and nothing else reliable/primarily about the artist and his music) is not enough and I found nothing additional, plus the artist himself is also facing deletion and looks highly unlikely to survive. Those edits have been undone just now by Josefina213, but my opinion on the pages has not changed so I'm bringing them here now.
  8. Cade Foehner: nominated at AfD; notified HoityToity13 (talk · contribs) 10:29, 13 March 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Appears to be mostly non-notable outside of his marriage to Gabby Barrett. Received some coverage for his American Idol appearance but didn't finish in the top three so he doesn't meet WP:SINGER#9. Has one single released by Hollywood Records but only the one so no #5. I see no charting, awards, or anything else that SINGER asks for. Could redirect to Barrett's page or his season of American Idol; the latter is probably the better option of the two.

    • Reason: While DigitalIceAge, who just undid my BLAR, makes a good point that there are at least a handful of articles covering this subject, I couldn't find anything that wasn't completely tying him back to his sole prominent role in Deliverance, hence why I went for the redirect initially. But since it's been disputed, of course I'm now bringing it here. My argument remains the same; one notable role as an actor should fall under WP:SINGLEEVENT, and I don't think the coverage does enough to pass that standard.

  19. Abhi the Nomad: nominated at AfD; notified Tow (talk · contribs) 22:03, 30 March 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Previously added a notability tag which has since been removed but with no more sources added. Doesn't appear to pass GNG or any part of WP:MUSICBIO.

Quadeca has received some coverage which is more promising, such as what I've linked at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/I Didn't Mean to Haunt You, but it's limited. I suspect he's on his way to notability and could easily get there with his next album cycle, but I don't see it just yet.

  2. Maelyn Jarmon: nominated at AfD; notified 212.112.148.88 (talk · contribs) 21:18, 2 April 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Coverage, both here and about the internet, focuses solely on her part on The Voice (American season 16). Aside from some less-than-impressive charting singles, most of which also come from her time on the show, I don't see independent notability at this time. Merge/redirect to the season page.
  3. Tři sestry (Czech band): nominated at AfD; notified Gargolla (talk · contribs) 20:01, 3 April 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Only coverage I see is what's on page already, and that mainly focuses on the murder of one of the band's members. Someone could probably make an article on that which mentions their part in the band, but I'm not sure it's appropriate material for this article and I don't see anything else centering this subject.

  5. Are You Lonesome Tonight? (disambiguation): nominated at AfD; notified BRG (talk · contribs) 19:55, 4 April 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Perhaps I just don't know how this works. I left a PROD on this page because only two of the listed items have blue links, and one of those is up for AfD and is likely not to survive. But now I see that PROD has been removed because there are blue links for associated people, just not the listed works themselves. Is that right? Do we allow a dab page that only links to one item which actually shares its title? Personally, I think it's a bit silly and I wouldn't allow it, hence my PROD. But if there's disagreement there which I'm unaware of, I'd love to hear it.
  6. Shuckey Duckey: nominated at AfD; notified 71.244.212.234 (talk · contribs) 23:33, 4 April 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Despite changing search terms as many ways as I could think to ("Shuckey Duckey", "Shucky Ducky", "Cecil Armstrong", combinations thereof, etc.), I surprisingly found no usable coverage for this article. Given the prominence of the catchphrase, I would've thought there'd at least be more discussing its originator, but I didn't see anything. Without that, I think this article mostly falls under WP:NOTDIC and I don't see much point in it staying. Unless someone else finds all the coverage I somehow couldn't.

  12. Nomadland (film): nominated at RM; New name: Nomadland 12:48, 12 April 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Nomadland (book) certainly isn't non-notable as a book, but the movie is a Best Picture winner and vastly higher in page views even recently. Seems like an obvious primary topic to me.
And even if this request is declined, the disambiguation page seems wholly unnecessary to me. It only contains two pages which are the book and the movie. That could be accomplished with hatnotes if it's really wanted, but I think it's already so convenient to navigate between the two that even that shouldn't be necessary either.
  13. Coco Moon: nominated at AfD; notified Shout4Serenity (talk · contribs) 05:30, 14 April 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: BLARed this but it was undone so now we're here. To quote my reasoning from before:

Outside of charting, this page sources only to the band's social media and press releases from the site PMStudio, which I believe to be a wholly unreliable source. I found no other coverage for this record, and the charting alone is insufficient to meet WP:NALBUM.

As it stands, the article has not changed since then aside from a couple adjusted time stamps. I still stand by PMStudio being unreliable and even brought up a query about it here. My vote is to restore the redirect I made earlier, though if anyone wants to take what's here and expand the prose in Owl City#2022–present: Return of Owl City and Coco Moon then that would be an even better target.

  15. Noname (rapper): nominated at RM; New name: Noname 16:09, 17 April 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Target currently redirects to No Name (a dab page) but the only other entry on that page without a space is a pen name of Luis Senarens. Since there's not even a redirect for that pen name at current, and even then it's not the title of that writer's page, I think it would make sense to call this primary topic and take off "(rapper)". Could also add a hatnote here linking to Senarens.
  16. Velvet Hammer Music and Management Group: nominated at AfD; notified Neal1984x (talk · contribs) 23:55, 18 April 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Outside of the Michigan Daily (archive) and AllBusiness.com-hosted Billboard (archive) articles, everything else on page and what I found through my search is only passing mentions. Article also has apparently severe CoI issues and would likely need an overhaul anyway.
  17. Better Than a Thousand: nominated at AfD; notified Mattafact (talk · contribs) 12:59, 19 April 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Started a PROD saying there was no usable coverage, and to be fair to the editor who removed it, that was a mistake. Between the six other-language Wiki articles, there is a collection of some coverage. You've got this article about some album reissues, this PunkNews review, this Visions review, and an AllMusic bio. Now I know that the second and fourth of those are considered reliable, though I'm not familiar with the other two. No Echo does have multiple writers but not much else I can find that would suggest definite reliability. There's a for Visions which seems to suggest it should be reliable, but no guarantees. Now I posted that PROD a few days ago so I don't remember what I saw in my BEFORE search, but clearly it wasn't anything beyond this, and this looks like the bare minimum. I think it also meets WP:NBAND#5, but that's still a pretty weak case in my mind. Personally, I'm not convinced this is enough. Perhaps it would serve better merged into a section of Ray Cappo's page.
  18. Samla Mammas Manna: nominated at AfD; notified Rec syn (talk · contribs) 15:38, 19 April 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Unsourced since at least 2012. Has an AllMusic bio and a handful of reviews from the same, but I don't see anything else. Unless we wanna just assume this band was getting covered all the time in the Scandinavian press but none of that has been digitized and I can't find any of it, then I'm not seeing any other coverage and don't see notability met here. See also Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Måltid.

  21. X (mixtape): nominated at AfD; notified Suhaengpyeongga (talk · contribs) 17:36, 22 April 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Does not appear to be notable. Charting and sales both insignificant. Other provided sources questionable in terms of reliability (Neither mentioned at WP:KO/RS but they don't look great). Couldn't find any additional coverage. Redirect to pH-1 (rapper).
  22. Pete Capella: nominated at AfD; notified MegaHL90 (talk · contribs) 18:02, 23 April 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Does not appear to be notable beyond his recurring Sonic the Hedgehog role. Of the sources here, #1 is barely about Capella, #2 even less so, #3 is an interview, and the rest are unreliable. Found no additional coverage for GNG, and he only passes WP:NACTOR for having played the one role multiple times. May as well be redirected to List of Sonic the Hedgehog characters#Silver the Hedgehog at that point.

  24. Impose (magazine): nominated at AfD; notified IntoThinAir (talk · contribs) 13:18, 25 April 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: To quote my rejected PROD:

Apparently non-notable. The Flavorwire page mentions Impose but mostly talks about Evers separately from his work there, the New Yorker EL is an ad for a concert, and the KC Pitch (archive) might not even be a reliable source. Found no other coverage about the magazine itself.

PROD was rejected due to the number of incoming links but I don't find that a particularly compelling case. Just because a source is used in 500 articles doesn't mean it is itself notable. Notability and reliability are separate standards, no? Same argument from before still applies entirely.
  25. Template:Skating Polly: nominated at TfD; notified Kart2401real (talk · contribs) 04:06, 27 April 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Per this discussion, it has been agreed that navboxes should only have WP:EXISTING items listed. Given Chaos County Line is currently a redirect, taking that and everything else out that consensus precludes would leave just The Make It All Show. My understanding is that a navbox which exists to only link two things is not necessary to keep around.
  26. Lush (Mitski album): nominated at AfD; notified Gagaluv1 (talk · contribs) 21:49, 30 April 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: BLARed this a while back but I can see that ruffled some feathers. Finally had another look now and can see that things look just the same as I remember them. Most of the coverage here is career retrospective stuff which touches briefly on this album but doesn't have a huge amount to say, and what is useful could be merged into Mitski without much trouble. I doubt the reliability of Vinyl Me, Please (a blog attached to a digital storefront), and the PodBean-hosted podcast which likely falls under WP:SPS. No appearance of an NMUSIC pass.

  1. Dorje (band): nominated at AfD; notified Issan Sumisu (talk · contribs) 08:46, 1 May 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Sources on page mostly (if not entirely) do not provide for notability. Found limited coverage of their breakup which was mostly based on Chapman's statement and otherwise insubstantial, and nothing else of use. No apparent evidence of an NMUSIC pass either.
  2. Marion Hall: nominated at RM; New name: Lady Saw 22:55, 2 May 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Appears to still be known primarily by her former name. Compare 253k results for "Marion Hall" on Google versus 1.59m for "Lady Saw" (both in quotes). Sources I see which call her Marion Hall still mention the Lady Saw name consistently. The page move to current name appears to have been a matter of recentism.
  3. Catholic School Girls Rule: nominated at AfD; notified Mechz (talk · contribs) 23:54, 4 May 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Coverage on page is limited to Kiedis' biography and unreliable Setlist.fm. I found other mentions which were pretty much just restating the biography and not really focusing on the song itself (the biography is arguably all passing mentions as well) or older coverage which was also just passing mentions. The background section (minus the unsourced Black Flag part) already exists in Freaky Styley, but if the rest can be reliably sourced then it would be worth keeping there.
  4. List of Highlander cast members: nominated at AfD; notified Rosenknospe (talk · contribs) 12:35, 7 May 2023 (UTC)

  5. Too Bright, Just Right, Good Night: nominated at AfD; notified Mfkiii (talk · contribs) 00:12, 10 May 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: PROD was removed (though the editor who removed it has "no objection to redirect" so take that as you will) but I still don't see notability here. As I said in my PROD, the only source in this article which is primarily about this album is from AllMusic. That alone does not provide for GNG, and I don't see anything here that would evidence an NALBUM pass either.
  6. Unreality show: nominated at RfD; Target: Reality television (notified); notified 217.17.80.238 (talk · contribs) 20:04, 11 May 2023 (UTC)

  7. Unreality (album): nominated at RM (technical); New name: Unreality 20:51, 11 May 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Target redirects to derealization which uses "unreal" but not "unreality" exactly. A hatnote could easily replace that redirect.
  8. Dante Roberson: nominated at AfD; notified Dante Roberson (talk · contribs) 08:50, 13 May 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Found this profile in Modern Drummer but nothing else pointing to notability, and I'm not even clear on who wrote that profile (the text block along the bottom of the page implies this is just promo the magazine gives to anyone who mails in asking for it rather than anything sign of relevance) so it might fail as a reliable source anyway.
  9. Category:OMICS Publishing Group academic journals: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Headbomb (talk · contribs) 09:42, 13 May 2023 (UTC)

  10. Nikko Smith: nominated at AfD; notified 168.216.107.206 (talk · contribs) 23:44, 13 May 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: BLARed due to lack of apparent notability but it turns out there was a past AfD in 2009 so we can't do that. Same reasoning still applies from there: from the sources I saw in my BEFORE search, he hardly gets mentioned even in articles about his season of American Idol. Redirect to American Idol (season 4)#Top 12 finalists.
  11. Darryl D'Bonneau: nominated at AfD; notified 24.113.115.35 (talk · contribs) 14:17, 14 May 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Was up for PROD but saved with the addition of a single interview. There are a few paragraphs of seemingly independent reporting at the top of that article so it could be a good source, but if it's the only one that's getting found then this still isn't showing notability. As I said in the PROD, one #1 hit on (what looks to be unless I'm mistaken) a minor Billboard chart isn't promising, and though this is no longer totally unsourced, there are still no other apparent points of notability.
  12. Jaynez: nominated at AfD; notified Informedondatruth (talk · contribs) 12:02, 15 May 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: PROD was removed because of an old PROD from 2007 (why isn't there a statute of limitations on that?), but my reasoning still applies. As I said, there is "No appearance of notability beyond maybe the Native American Music Awards, though those are themselves questionable (see their page)".

    • Reason: Sourced primarily from an obituary which was published by The Augusta Chronicle (archive), but likely didn't go through their usual editorial process, and a press release from a former member of Congress (archive) which may not be considered a notability-supporting source at all as far as I know. No idea of the reliability of 911blogger.com or Merlian News which are linked in the ELs, but I doubt it. Gonna need more sources to prove notability which I couldn't find.
  18. Charlotte Glasson: nominated at AfD; notified Ruse1966 (talk · contribs) 23:19, 30 May 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Seems to mostly receive passing mentions as a supporting player on other musicians' works rather than getting significant coverage individually. Present sources -- aside from the obviously unreliable IMDb pages -- consist of an interview, an article about another musician which gives Glasson a sentence of praise (which is apparently student-run/looks bloglike so may be unreliable itself), and an article from The Stage which I can't access but is the only promising piece I've seen. An extensive discography without any coverage or other signs of notability.

  2. Love, Death & Mussolini: nominated at AfD; notified Synesthetize (talk · contribs) 20:03, 2 June 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: PROD'd because I found no claim to notability for this release, but someone removed that PROD claiming this is "potentially notable" and also to consider alternatives. Having already looked, I'm still convinced there's no potential here, but I do agree that this would be better redirected to Porcupine Tree than outright deleted.
  3. Music For Nations: nominated at RM; New name: Music for Nations 10:21, 3 June 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Was moved in 2020 based on a request that got zero responses and argued based on a proper name (something typically ignored when it comes to minor differences of capitalization like this). Personally, I don't think that makes any sense, and this article should follow MOS:TITLECAPS standards regardless of what their logo says.

  5. Fishtank (series): nominated at AfD; notified AsyarSaronen (talk · contribs) 13:11, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: BLARed this a bit ago as it didn't appear notable to me. Still doesn't. One source has been added since from Sports Keeda which is regarded as unreliable per its entry at WP:RSP. As I had it before, I still believe this should be redirected to Sam Hyde. Also, it's worth noting that some Sam Hyde fans know about the BLAR and are not happy about it, so that may be an issue to watch out for during these proceedings.
  6. Random Encounters: nominated at AfD; notified FungusRidden (talk · contribs) 00:42, 5 June 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: PROD removed as I was told to "consider potential notablity of other subjects that redirect here", but I don't see how that effects the notability of this page. There are three redirects here (AJ Pinkerton, CG5 (YouTuber), and NateWantsToBattle), but if none of those are notable enough for their own pages (though Nate might be given the coverage his music has been getting lately) then surely they aren't notable enough to get profiles on an article that itself isn't notable. And as I said in my PROD, I see no apparent claim to notability here.
  7. Inside Voices / Outside Voices: nominated at AfD; notified SaltieChips (talk · contribs) 00:10, 7 June 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: BLAR was reverted but I stand by my reasoning. Present sources, including the two added since my redirect, are mostly unreliable and those that aren't still don't provide much evidence of notability. My search didn't turn up anything else that did either, hence the redirect to K.Flay#2021–2022: Inside Voices / Outside Voices which I think should be reinstated.

    • Reason: To quote my PROD which was just removed:

Appears to have received no reliable coverage beyond that Uncut review. Has an AllMusic bio but it's uncredited, and the same text appears on Spotify and Apple Music so that may have been written by someone at Domino Recording Company. I'm not seeing notability here.

      Same argument still applies.

    • Reason: The main cat and both subcats only have one entry each. Not much point in keeping them separated if they're gonna be three SMALLCATs. If they do get kept then they need renamed to "Sammy Hagar and the Circle".
  12. Black & White (G.NA album): nominated at AfD; notified SicaSunny (talk · contribs) 02:29, 15 June 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Couldn't find enough coverage or verify sales/charting mentioned on the artist's page. I guess I can't definitely call this non-notable, but it's at least gonna need some work to meet that burden of proof, and if it can't do that then it should be redirected to G.NA.

  14. Envy & Other Sins: nominated at AfD; notified Marcusdean118 (talk · contribs) 17:26, 25 June 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Band and associated articles do not appear to be notable. Couldn't find any coverage beyond the NME article sourced in the band's article. Only one single charted, but it was only in the bottom half of the chart for one week. Could merge/redirect what little is here to Orange unsignedAct, though the notability of that series is also questionable.

  16. Goddard.: nominated at AfD; notified Launchballer (talk · contribs) 04:16, 26 June 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: No appearance of notability aside from the one hit single. Sourcing on page is poor and I could not find adequate additional material. The hit song is notable, yes, but that notability isn't inherited. I vote to reinstate the redirect I made which was undone.
  17. Category:Border crossings of Vatican City: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Good Olfactory (talk · contribs) 09:36, 27 June 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Redundant layer. Sole subcat also exists in Category:Italy–Vatican City border which is the only other subcat in Category:Borders of Vatican City. No need for both when they exist to complete the same job, especially when the other also does more than this could. Not sure what the appropriate redirect target would be, if any exist, but I imagine that would be preferred and I will accept that as well.

  2. Sun Arcs: nominated at AfD; notified Koavf (talk · contribs) 03:51, 7 July 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: The two reviews already present are the only reliable sources I can find for this album. If there were a couple more reviews or even coverage of singles then I could probably give this a pass, but at the moment I'm not even finding that and I think what little is here is cutting it too close. Perhaps more will come later in the year, but for now I don't think this is enough.
  3. Seek and Strike: nominated at RfD; Target: Upon a Burning Body (notified); notified Jax 0677 (talk · contribs) 00:18, 11 July 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Inappropriate to target to one act who is signed to (but not involved in the operation of) the label when they've released material from other notable acts and are only briefly mentioned on the target page. Not aware of a more appropriate target so I would just delete.
  4. Dariacore (album): nominated at AfD; notified Skyshifter (talk · contribs) 01:42, 13 July 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Following up from Talk:Dariacore (album)#Notability. As I said in that discussion, "few of the sources primarily focus on this album (e.g. That Pitchfork quote is a single line from a review of a different album), and those that do include Sputnikmusic which I'm still not convinced is actually reliable enough on its own to support notability that strongly." While there is promise in regards to an NMUSIC pass given the apparent notability of the Dariacore subgenre and this album's clearly very important role in establishing said genre, I don't think this album clears GNG with the present sourcing. There are good sources, but not many and not enough. I think a merge/redirect to Jane Remover would be most appropriate, but this is too great an edge case to go without a full discussion.

    • Reason: Film article at target page is bare and doesn't even appear to support notability at present. No apparent reason it should be PTOPIC out of this list. Would also support a case for Love in Exile (album) as PTOPIC if anyone else wants to make it, but I'm limiting myself for now as this seems more reasonable.

    • Reason: Was previously soft deleted after an AfD I started with just one other participant. Has been recreated with the same sources which were present before, and I'm still not convinced. Check the previous AfD for my full reasoning. Redirect to Quadeca (which it should've been in the first place but that's my mistake for forgetting to write that before).
  12. BabyJake: nominated at AfD; notified SaltieChips (talk · contribs) 21:25, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Does not appear to be notable at this time. Has an AllMusic bio written by one of their regular critics which is good, but otherwise everything I see is either interviews or likely unreliable sources (including Earmilk; my thoughts on that here). That the artist was signed to one of the world's biggest record labels would explain the amount of available coverage/promo, but that his new album was self-released and has received zero coverage makes me think that previous material was all bought by the label and doesn't ultimately mean much (and again, appears to be mostly unusable).

August 2023[edit]

  1. The Secret Agent Club: nominated at AfD; notified RohanMalik1999 (talk · contribs) 10:35, 2 August 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: To quote my removed PROD:

No apparent signs of notability. Rotten Tomatoes lists two reviews, but one (archived) is actually for The Secret Agent (1996 film) and the other I can find no trace of online and wouldn't know if the source is reliable anyway. Found nothing else of value, and I wouldn't even be sure it was keepable if it had those reviews.

That PROD was removed without comment, but sources were added so that's fine. The problem is that three of them are just databases (Mubi, FilmDienst, TV Guide), one is WhatCulture which "is considered generally unreliable", and one is Hulk Hogan's own book which does not give notability to a movie he starred in. I can't view the excerpts from that Orpheus Pub review to garner an opinion of it as a source, but even if it's reliable, it's the only one so far, and I didn't find anything else earlier as I said so I still don't see notability here.

    • Reason: I believe the album is ready for mainspace, but when I attempted to move it myself I got an error with an unclear reason (there was a bunch of random characters that meant nothing to me). It was suggested to me that this could be related to the presence of "Lol" in the title and that it might be triggering MediaWiki:Titleblacklist.

  4. Modern Fix: nominated at AfD; notified 69.75.227.160 (talk · contribs) 10:09, 4 August 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Don't really know how to search for sources/notability for a publication like this so take this with a grain of sand, but what I could manage turned up nothing. A more thorough BEFORE would be helpful, but for now I see an article with zero sources. I wouldn't be surprised if that turns around though. But if it doesn't, then delete (I don't see any appropriate redirect targets but would be willing to support if one turns up).

  6. Category:K-pop-inspired girl groups from England: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Piratelover48 (talk · contribs) 18:43, 5 August 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: One cat made just to contain the other, and the other made just to contain one group, and neither even make sense as "K-pop-inspired" runs counter to the actual article for Kaachi which consistently calls them a K-pop group and never uses the word "inspire".
  7. Ludwig van Beethoven (1712–1773): nominated at RM; New name: Ludwig van Beethoven the Elder 00:55, 6 August 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: I think this would be a better disambiguator to distinguish him from his grandson given not all readers will recognize that 1712 is not the younger Ludwig's birth year (turns out we don't even know his birth year which I didn't know until looking it up just now) and that could lead to accidental clicks leading to the wrong page. "The Elder" is also terminology used consistently through the article to refer to its subject. Ludovicus van Beethoven may also be a good option as it is the name most frequently used in the article's sources.
  8. I'm Gonna Pin My Medal on the Girl I Left Behind: nominated at AfD; notified Julianaknot (talk · contribs) 21:21, 8 August 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: This AfD was created by a now-banned user and subsequently deleted. I don't know anythin about that and only saw it because of the edit history of Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Albums and songs. What I do know is that I decided to look into the subject and see what I could uncover about it, and what I found was nothing. There were plenty of passing mentions, some of which implied the song's importance, but not much actual concrete evidence of it. The song isn't even mentioned on Irving Berlin's page, though it is listed on List of songs written by Irving Berlin. A redirect to the list page makes sense to me.
  9. Nero's Day at Disneyland: nominated at RM; New name: Lauren Bousfield 01:24, 9 August 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Of the sourcing I could find on Bousfield, all of it focuses on her recent work under her real name, and all that work is more recent. Perhaps there is more coverage available for her Nero's Day at Disneyland work, but I didn't immediately find it while what I did find was all on the first page of Google. This is a clear PRIMARYTOPIC situation to me, and renaming the article makes the most sense to me.

  15. Triple j: nominated at RM; New name: Triple J 07:07, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Page was unilaterally moved in July, apparently based on the station's own stylization of their name. However, third party sources do not use that capitalization consistently, as can be seen in the article, and I don't think this overcomes MOS:TMCAPS. If this move is approved, then be sure to remove {{lowercase title}} as well.

    • Reason: Other than missing the "Find sources" part, Unreferenced section serves the same purpose as Unreferenced with the section parameter on. And given the missing part, it's rendered a worse template for providing less useful options. Unreferenced's doc would need significant updates to mention the parameter and its usage (It currently reads as if that doesn't exist and should never be used, and I don't much see the point of that). If this request is rejected, then at the very least, Unreferenced section should be updated to include "Find sources".

Article has since been restored and there is one more source than before, but it appears to me that my point still stands. The coverage here still does not support independent notability.
  6. Best Comedy Album: nominated at RfD; Target: Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album (notified); notified CatherineMunro (talk · contribs) 09:21, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Too general a term to be a redirect. Just from this search, I can see multiple other awards with this name. It's entirely possible that none of those awards are themselves notable, but there's enough to make this seem inappropriate to me. Either delete this or convert it to a dab page.
  7. Category:Political music albums: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Electriclandlady (talk · contribs) 16:28, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: The implication of this category tree's existence is that political music is a genre in some sense, or at least something equivalent to it. The problem is that that link redirects to music and politics, a page which only uses the former phrase three times and in the first instance says the "nature of that message can also be ambiguous". It goes on to explain the ambiguity, but never comes up with a definition anywhere close to a music genre/equivalent. Can we call something a defining characteristic of any subject when the characteristic itself is so loosely defined? We certainly couldn't make an article for political music without a stricter definition, and my understanding is we wouldn't have categories for characteristics that don't have articles explaining them.
  8. Cirith Ungol (band): nominated at RM; New name: Cirith Ungol 17:56, 14 September 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Much more evidence of notability displayed in this band's article than for the random bit of fictional geography they're named after. The undabbed link currently redirects to a small section of Mordor, an article which only mentions Cirith Ungol briefly. The only reason that would be PTOPIC is because the band is clearly named after it, but I don't think that should override anything else. And the loss of the redirect could be solved with a hatnote.
  9. Alicia Cook (poet): nominated at RM; New name: Alicia Cook 13:57, 21 September 2023 (UTC)

    • Reason: This, I think, is a better disambiguation option as it doesn't rely on users knowing what year the original game released in before selecting an article from the search results. Mirror's Edge (mobile), an already existing redirect to this article, is another option worth considering, though I wouldn't assume that everyone knows that "mobile" alone refers to a type of video game and think including "game" better clarifies that. It's also worth noting that, in contrast to this current title, Mirror's Edge (2008 video game) doesn't currently exist as of this message (perhaps it should regardless of the outcome of this discussion).

    • Reason: A lot of coverage exists which has this man's name in it, but it appears to me that 99% of it is actually just about Alanis Morissette, his wife, and is either report on their 2010 marriage or is some other tabloid nonsense following her daily life which he happens to be a part of. I found no significant coverage discussing his music. He has an AllMusic page, but it only has five of his albums, no ratings from users let alone critics, and no bio. He doesn't even have an Album of the Year listing. If his sole notability is as another person's husband, I think his name should redirect to her page instead.

  22. Unreality: nominated at RfD; Target: Derealization (notified); notified Literaturegeek (talk · contribs) 07:21, 30 September 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Target page derealization doesn't actually use the term "unreality" anywhere in its prose (though it does use "unreal"). I had thought to move Unreality (album) into its place and add a hatnote, but after a discussion (which can be seen here), it seems that wasn't a perfect solution after all. Looking back on it, I'm still not entirely sure how appropriate the redirect is, and think perhaps it should be either my initial page move/hatnote idea or Dr. Vogel's dab suggestion (though as was noted at the time, there's only one exact match for it).
  23. Third Finger, Left Hand (film): nominated at RM; New name: Third Finger, Left Hand 08:23, 30 September 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Third Finger, Left Hand (song) is and has always been a redirect (and possibly not even appropriately targeted given it's a cover), and the target page doesn't appear to indicate much notability for the song which would make it article-ready. Disambiguating these pages as equals, at least as they stand now, seems like the wrong move to me. That redirect can be made into a hatnote.

  3. Study Breaks: nominated at AfD; notified Cnota (talk · contribs) 17:39, 3 October 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: The first source on this page is the magazine's own about page, and the third is a press release on a PR website. Neither of those provide notability, and while the Paisano article (archived) does, it alone does not show notability for this article. I couldn't find more coverage, though the problems with searching for a news publication with a generic name like this are not lost on me, but if there indeed isn't more coverage available then I'm afraid this fails the notability pass and should be deleted.
  4. Earthlings?: nominated at AfD; notified Zombi3~enwiki (talk · contribs) 20:17, 3 October 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: As I noted in my PROD, there's an AllMusic bio and two reviews, but I found nothing else to support notability. However, said PROD has been removed because, as noted, this band has multiple notable members. I'll save the longer rant and just say that I think WP:NBAND#6 is silly for a standard of notability, especially when it's the only one a band has going for it. In this case, it pretty clearly is the only thing, and it alone should not be enough for this band page to be kept. Unless more coverage is located somewhere, then I see no reason for this to be kept as is.
  5. Template:Blood Red Throne: nominated at TfD; notified Frietjes (talk · contribs) 23:06, 8 October 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Altered Genesis is about to be merged into the band page which will leave only that and two band members linked (aside from the related bands which I don't think should count to the total), and the notability of all of those is quite questionable anyway so who knows if they last.

  8. Along the Way (Colbie Caillat album): nominated at AfD; notified Kart2401real (talk · contribs) 01:31, 11 October 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Article only contains announcements, and only two of those are definitely reliable (Euphoria is questionable and uDM may have a CoI for this artist). Beyond that, there are no reviews, and the only other coverage I've seen so far are interviews. This was draftified while it was upcoming, and (possibly copy-paste) moved without getting the draft approved for mainspace, and I doubt it would've been.

    • Reason: My softdel/redirect was undone, but the reason for it still stands. As I said before, "Two weeks on a genre chart without touching the Billboard 200, especially for an artist whose previous albums all charted in the latter chart's top five, is not very impressive. Beyond that, I saw a small handful of articles about the album's release, but no reviews or further coverage. Not convinced this is enough for notability by our standards." Redirect to 6ix9ine.
  10. The Imp of the Perverse (short story): nominated at RM (technical); New name: The Imp of the Perverse 16:05, 13 October 2023 (UTC)

  11. Thirteenth Step (band): nominated at AfD; notified Alteredstate502 (talk · contribs) 01:38, 15 October 2023 (UTC)

  12. Cheers (Jukebox the Ghost album): nominated at AfD; notified Koopastar (talk · contribs) 23:03, 15 October 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: BLAR was undone, but the article doesn't look any better. The Washington Post interview (not a review so also inappropriately placed in the ratings box) only mentions the album for two sentences, and other than that and the PopMatters review, I'm unclear that any of the sources are reliable (I've particularly seen Prelude Press called outright unreliable before). If, ultimately, that means the article is basically relying on just PopMatters for notability, then that'd be the same grounds that I BLARed on in the first place.

    • Reason: Unuseful redirect. Target page makes no mention of 2024 music specifically. Creation of this article is inevitable, as is the case with every year's "in music" page, but for the time being this redirect is just confusing and potentially discouraging to editors who might assume the article has already been made given the bluelink.

The removal suggests sources in Google Scholar which may be of use here, but I could only find passing mentions in there as well so I'm doubtful.

  5. Mikayil Useynov: nominated at RM; New name: Mikayil Huseynov 14:11, 7 November 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Useynov spelling is not used in the article, and it only appears in one of the three sources I can access (the other two come up with "Useinov", though all of this comes via Google Translate so I don't even know how relevant this information is). However, given my lack of knowledge on the language and Wikipedia rules on translation, I don't know if the target I picked is most appropriate, or if it should instead be Mikayıl Hüseynov, Mikayil Useinov, or something else; I just know it should be consistent in all parts of the page. • Reason: Does not appear to meet any criteria of NFILM. Does not have a page on Rotten Tomatoes or Metacritic that I could find, nor any reviews not hosted on either of those sites which I could find. The only sources on this page are listings for the screening they're about by the organizations hosting them, and none of the film festivals appear to be notable so their awards probably wouldn't count for much either. • Reason: BLARed due to lack of coverage. Tour was just announced the other day and hasn't received much coverage yet, which isn't too surprising given it's for an album which also hasn't received much coverage. No prejudice toward restoring when there's more coverage – given the notability of the group and the size of venues they're covering, it wouldn't surprise me if more does appear closer to the tour's start next year – but I don't see reason to keep this around as more than the couple sentences at The Maybe Man#Tour for now. Redirect there for now.

    • Reason: To quote my PROD which was just removed: "Purpose redundant to Category:Tribute albums and its long list of subcats." The removing editor did make a fair point that there is date info on here which wouldn't be replicated by a category page, but for linked entries that info should already be in their respective articles anyway so it shouldn't be a huge loss. As for unlinked entries, surely redirecting those to an appropriate discography page/section would take care of that as well. And if there isn't an appropriate target for a handful, and they aren't notable enough for their own articles, then they probably aren't notable enough for placement on this list anyway. I think this whole page can be safely dumped without any huge loss. I wouldn't even consider the release dates to be vital enough to worry about losing, though maybe that's just me.

    • Reason: Does not appear to exist, or at the very least does not appear to be mentioned at target or CeCe Peniston discography. Might be referring to CeCe Peniston (EP Live) which was originally released in 2008 but had a CD release in 2011, matching the claim at CeCe (disambiguation). Still, the name doesn't match up, and that is a live EP, not necessarily an album, so there's no guarantee it's referring to the same thing. Also worth noting that this redirect was created in 2016 while the live EP's article was started in 2011, so if this were referring to that then I question why it wasn't targeted there in the first place. Could also potentially be confused with the Ciara EP CiCi. Without a guarantee that this exists or what target would be most appropriate, I think deletion and removal of the disambiguation page entry makes the most sense.

  1. Beautiful Door: nominated at AfD; notified Luca Balduzzi (talk · contribs) 12:32, 2 February 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Unclear of the notability here, though I think I'm leaning not (and redirect to the artist, of course). The article only has an AllMusic review, valid but not enough on its own, and the other coverage I could find was this blurb from Express and a few paragraphs in Thornton's autobiography. I don't know if Express is reliable, though it was a publication of The Washington Post so I wouldn't see why not, and though the piece is short, it's not entirely insubstantial. As for the autobiography, I have no idea what that does in regards to notability given I'm pretty sure it's entirely a primary source. This really doesn't seem like much all told, but perhaps it's just me being less favorable than most to a bare minimum pass as often seems to be the case.

    • Reason: Was just gonna leave tags on this, but they've been reverted, so I guess I may as well do this instead. Sources on this page consist of primaries (one from the game, two from Capcom's website), one database (Behind the Voice Actors), and a couple from what I believe are third party game guide books. I don't know the reliability of all of those sources (BtVA I can't imagine being reliable, and the non-primaries I wouldn't expect to be), but I know none of them convey notability. Otherwise, this page is full of what could probably be summarized as fancruft that is better left to fan sites than here, especially with none of it sourced. Could redirect to Darkstalkers#Characters, though I think deletion makes more sense since that section doesn't currently have any sort of list or significant detail on any individual characters.
  5. Brittany Spanos: nominated at AfD; notified Dsp13 (talk · contribs) 16:28, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: As I wrote in my PROD which was removed:

I can find plenty of Rolling Stone bylines from Spanos, and she is a writer I'm familiar with (I even follow her on Twitter), but I don't see any reliable coverage that indicates major notability. Of the sources here, two are bios from her employers, and the third is WP:FORBESCON, and I couldn't find anything else.

Since that removal, one more source has been added, but it's a mostly primary-source interview. Personally, I still don't see notability, and I don't think having her byline appear frequently on Wikipedia would be enough to get her there.
  6. Joe Clements (American football): nominated at RM; New name: Joe Clements 08:11, 8 February 2024 (UTC)

Found a handful of appearances in SLUG Magazine ([17][18][19][20]) but nothing else of much use. It is my understanding that even with this much coverage, the fact that it all comes from one source means it doesn't count as multiple sources. Or something like that. Regardless, I see no other signs of notability that aren't themselves unsourced.

PROD was removed due to a >10-year-old PROD which was undone (still a silly rule but so be it), so now we're here.

    • Reason: Aside from a brief AllMusic review of Ride and an even briefer AllMusic bio, I couldn't find evidence of notability. Maybe there are more sources out there that are just buried and difficult to find given the band's name being a tad generic, but I couldn't find anything paired with the band members' names either. The band was short-lived in their initial run and while they were apparently signed with Atlantic Records, they were in a genre which wasn't at its most popular at the time it released, so coverage may have only come from niche areas that aren't necessarily the most reliable.

    • Reason: Album cover not being used in an album article (album itself is likely non-notable). Reasoning is poor, or at least severely underwritten. The ScoringSessions.com just links to the front page of that site and I couldn't find anything about its relation to this one. The rest is just this site, and nothing that suggests notability to me. • Reason: PROD was undone, but I stand by it. Coverage focuses on her relationship with her husband and very little on the album itself. 1. This Summer (Squeeze song): nominated at AfD; notified Mrmctorso (talk · contribs) 05:36, 8 April 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not a very searchable name, but I scoured regardless and couldn't turn up any sources. For a band as big as this one, I would think the lead single of any album of theirs would get more coverage, but perhaps it's just not archived. Anyone with access to '90s copies of NME or Kerrang! (or whatever else) please give them a check. If not, this should be redirected to Ridiculous (album) as it does not show clear notability as is.
  2. Kicking Harold: nominated at AfD; notified Goodtimetribe (talk · contribs) 20:04, 12 April 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: The closest I could find to notability was this anecdote about the band, but it's only a few sentences and I can't guarantee the reliability of the book. Past that, I saw passing mentions but nothing else of worth. Redirecting to Tim David Kelly would make sense, though his article isn't much more promising in the realm of notability and could potentially go at any time as well if there's nothing more to be found there.

  4. This Summer (Squeeze song): nominated at RM; New name: This Summer 16:36, 15 April 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Since this just got kept at AfD, this is the next move. The other This Summer, the Alessia Cara EP, I found unquestionably non-notable and redirected a week ago. Since nobody's questioned that decision yet, and I still stand by it, it seems fair to call this PTOPIC. Target can either be deleted and converted to hatnotes or moved to This Summer (disambiguation). The latter might be preferable since there are two other entries in the see also section, though a hatnote for all three might not be unreasonable. I'm fine either way.

    • Reason: Found zero evidence of notability myself. Mushy Yank added a Variety article which mentions the film, but only very briefly, so I don't take it for much. And even then, if that's all there is then I don't see why this should've been dePRODded in the first place.

HCS.net (archived) appears to be a blog and I doubt it would hold up to scrutiny in terms of reliability. The sales claim might be worth investigating but could've easily been made up for all I know. Maybe other editors will consider AllMusic and Hit Parader to be the bare minimum for a pass, but I think we ought to be just a tad more strict than that.

    • Reason: Perhaps I've just misunderstood something here, in which case please resoundingly reject this, but I can't seem to find the difference between these two categories or any reason why they should be separate. All but one (The Children Act) of Courtroom novels' entries appear in both categories. If I had to guess, I think one refers to the legal drama (or, more specifically, the "courtroom drama") genre while the other is the setting, but I get the sense that may just be a distinction without difference.

    • Reason: Per the rest of Category:Fan films' subcats. Not 100% on including the "the" given the main article is just Punisher, but it appears that every instance of "Punisher" in that article that isn't part of the title of a work is preceded by "the" or another article, so I think it's the right move to include it here. Open to counterarguments on that though.

    • Reason: I can see that the redirect target has been changed a couple times recently, so I'm going to bring this to discussion rather than just change it again without consensus. I think this should be retargeted to Get Out, the undisambiguated film article (as was decided with significant support in 2017) and be tagged as {{R from miscapitalization}}. If we accept that Get Out is PTOPIC (which, of course, I support) then it would make more sense that someone typing those precise words, regardless of capitalization, should be directed to that article. It's where I was expecting to be taken just now when I encountered the dab page instead. Seems pretty cut-and-dry to me.
