Add your request in the most appropriate place below.

Before adding a request please:

List of English bands Please do not list yourself, or your own band, as this is considered promotional. Whether your band warrants inclusion in Wikipedia is a decision that should be made by someone else.

Consensus appears to be to list individuals alphabetically by their first name, and all band names beginning with "A", "An", or "The" should be placed alphabetically by the second word in their name.

Before you save the page, please make sure to preview the page that the article is a red link, otherwise, disambiguate it usually with (band) or (group) or if these already exist, then you can usually disambiguate it further by origin (American band) or by genre (rock band), etc.

Also, when adding a request, please include as much information as possible (such as webpages, articles, or other reference material) so editors can find and distinguish your request from an already-created article.

  • Karly Jurgensen, Karly is a graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston where she studied pop/jazz songwriting and vocal/piano performance. Upon graduating in 2008, she moved to New York City where she worked for the New York Songwriter’s Circle. She moved back to Omaha last winter to play with Mannheim Steamroller, an opportunity that gave her national exposure on TV and radio. She enjoys providing elegant pop and jazz music as a solo pianist and/or vocalist, as well as with her band. [1]
  • Kashy Keegan, British piano singer songwriter who has enjoyed considerable success in Hong Kong with his song 'This Is My Dream' reaching number 1 on the Hong Kong iTunes chart.[2] His song 'This is My Dream' was used as the theme tune for Hong Kong Television (HKTV). On October 25th 2013 Kashy performed the song before a crowd of thousands gathered outside Central Government Offices in Hong Kong during protests against the government's decision to not grant HKTV a licence to broadcast. [3] Kashy has released two albums to date the eponymous 'Kashy Keegan', released 30 March 2007 and 'Looking In' released 02 May 2011.
  • KASHKA, the folkpoptronica project of Kat Burns, a songwriter and musician most well known for her work in Forest City Lovers, a critically acclaimed folk band from Toronto, Ontario. KASHKA is "unpretentious in her approach to synth pop" [4] and creates soundscapes that follow both folk and electro elements. Of her first album, 'Vichada", Now Magazine says, "Kat Burns pulls a Sasha Fierce with her new project, KASHKA, which sees the pretty-voiced singer/guitarist best known for her Forest City Lovers orchestral folk project go electro-pop in this exciting collaboration with in-demand local producer/percussionist James Bunton of Ohbijou, [Light Fires], Diamond Rings. [5] KASHKA is not always a collaboration though and she has a new album called BOUND being released November 5th, 2013 on her own inprint, Play the Triangle [6] that was produced by Leon Taheny (Final Fantasy).
  • Klaypex, an EDM/dubstep duo from Miami, FL. Band website can be found at [www.klaypex.com] and a short interview with them at [2]. Their Youtube channel has near 150k subscribers and millions of views and Pandora plays them constantly, with at least two album/EP releases under their belt.
  • Kongh, a Swedish metal band that... needs an article with a complete list of their discography.
  • Kongress, a legendary band that spawned the likes of the Pioneering Persona VON LMO, the Late Magician Geoffrey Crozier, the Femme Fatale Marilyn, the Teutonic Guitarists Robert Crash & Rynata and the Late Bassist Frank Stokes with mutual inspiration from Master of the Unheard Øf Otto von Ruggins. Kongress was described in Punk Magazine, Issue 12 [7] as, "The most dangerous band in the world..." In line with that description, the website DangerousMinds.net featured an article on Kongress titled, KONGRESSIONAL HEARING: AMAZING UNKNOWN PUNK BAND FROM THE 70S, KONGRESS [8] which included rare video of the Wizard from Oz who fronted the band during their heyday in the late '70s performing at Max's Kansas City and CBGBs, before they were banned for various offenses of temperament and occultism. James Wolcott wrote an article titled "The Dictators Make Trains Run on Time" (Village Voice, June 7, 1976) which included the following details about Kongress, "A rowdy bottle smashing night…earlier in the evening there had been an altercation with a satanic occult band named Kongress that played music that sounded like a Concorde drone with Aleister Crowley lyrics. They abandoned the stage only after threats of violence were unfurled like vampirish cape flourishes." The Soho Weekly News [9] declared of Kongress, "Soundtrack for a Screamie...a breathless half-hour that stops time dead in its tracks...the most bizarre blend of media ever to darken the annals of rock’n’roll." A DVD from videos by Bob Gruen and Rod Swenson of their underground live performances, along with possible CDs of unreleased material is in the works. A single, "Tough Guys Don't Dance" b/w "Talk Talk" was released in 1985 featuring Marilyn on vocals.
  • Krystol Electronic, Funk, R&B, Soul, Disco band from the mid-1980s featuring Gospel singer Karon Floyd, Tina Scott, Roberta Stiger, and group founder D'Marie Warren. Warren (32) died in a car crash before the release of the group's second album "Talk Of The Town" in 1985 (Epic). Sadly, she sang many leads vocals on the album, and was not alive for it's release. "Gettin Ready" was released in 1984, also on Epic. Krystol went on to release "Passion from a Woman" (Epic, 1986), and "I Suggest U Don't Let Go" (Epic, 1989). In 2012 "Gettin Ready [Expanded Edition]" was re-released on Funkytown Grooves USA. Later in 2013 "Talk of The Town [Expanded Edition" was re-released on Funky Town Grooves / Razor & Tie. While their repertoire, or discography is not the largest, I hope they deserve more than the brief mention they get at the bottom of the entry for "Alton McClain and Destiny" [10]. The entry at the previous reference included the following references as well, [11], [12], [13], [14] and [15].
  • Kim Leoni, Dutch-Indonesian singer from Rotterdam. After she met producers Michel Pollen and Brane Kovak in 2006, she started a career as a singer. [16]
  • King the Kid, a pop band famous for doing a cover of Miley Cyrus's "Wrecking Ball." From Bend, Oregon.

On their latest album they transcended niche genres like prog metal and steampunk to create a metal album that has elements of familiar classic metal and the progressive flourishes, but without a lot of evident parroting of their influences. They have created their own sound, and that is rare thing these days. They are being compared in media to Rush. Ozzy, Judas Priest, Queensryche, and Maiden tier bands in terms of scope. Based on the reviews they've a lot to offer. They’ve just released their first full length album Our Own Devices, mixed by the legendary Michael Wagener, and it is available via AetherWax Music. [20] [21],[22],[23]

  • Mona Abboud - Singer of the famous song The Pretty Little Dolly. The only online source I can find is: http://www.dailyherald.com/article/20101214/news/712159891/ but I'm sure more sources must exist offline.
  • Monsta - British drum and bass band who had a charting single in the UK in 2012 called "Holdin' On" (UK #48). The band has since been renamed I See Monstas but they charted as Monsta and the Monsta article appears to be salted.
