Puttur is a census town in Chittoor district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is the mandal headquarters of PUTTUR mandal and belongs to NAGARI constituency. PUTTUR is near to temple city THIRUPATHI.[3]

Geography

Puttur is located at 13°27′N 79°33′E / 13.45°N 79.55°E / 13.45; 79.55.[4] It has an average elevation of 144 metres (472 feet). Puttur is very famous for Bone settling hospital world wide and Thirunallu. Telugu and Tamil is the widely spoken language.
