- Bulgaria: Elitsa Lubenova was the official delegate to Miss Universe 2009, however she and Miss Bulgaria World, Antonia Petrova switched their positions. But Vietnam will send one former winner or runner-up to Bahamas, two possible choices are Vo Hoang Yen, Miss Universe Vietnam 2008 first runner-up and Phan Thi Ngoc Diem, Miss Tourism Vietnam 2008.
