The MumbaiVadodara Expressway is an under-construction, 380 km (240 mi)[1] long, six-lane, controlled-access expressway, connecting the cities of Vadodara, Gujarat and Mumbai, Maharashtra . The cost of the project is expected to be 44,000 crore (US$5.3 billion).[2]

Project status updates

  • Sep 2017: Land acquisition completed. Five tenders awarded, work to start soon.[3]
  • Jan 2018: Work to start in two months.[4]
  • April 2018: Ircon International, Patel Infrastructure, Ashoka Concessions, IRB Infrastructure and Sadbhav Engineering have bagged contracts to build the first phase between Vadodara and Kim (located near Surat) [5]
