- (Discuss) – Mehmood Ali → Mehmood (actor) – Per COMMONNAME, 1, 2 Tito Dutta (talk) 14:26, 4 November 2016 (UTC)
- (Discuss) – Day-O (The Banana Boat Song) → ? – The current title is an improper use of parentheses in article titles, as it doesn't serve disambiguation purposes (Day-O and The Banana Boat Song both redirect here), nor is it the actual title of the song. The article should be moved to Day-O, Banana Boat Song, or The Banana Boat Song. I don't have preference for either. Paul_012 (talk) 14:10, 4 November 2016 (UTC)
- (Discuss) – Soccer in Australia → Association Football in Australia – It makes sense to change it to association football since the federation includes the word "football" in its name. - AquilaXIII (talk) 08:09, 4 November 2016 (UTC)
- (Discuss) – Viki (website) → Viki – [1], Website gets 146 views/day, Viki (operetta) 1/day, Viki, Estonia 2/day. Timmyshin (talk) 02:54, 4 November 2016 (UTC)
- (Discuss) – East Tennessee State Buccaneers and Lady Buccaneers → East Tennessee State Buccaneers – Referring to female athletes as "Lady" has been done away with at East Tennessee State along with almost all other universities. The official term for male and female athletes are Buccaneers. This is referred on the universities website as well as talked about by the women's coaches themselves. Therockhr (talk) 01:11, 4 November 2016 (UTC)
- (Discuss) – Underbar Summer → Summer (video game) – Initial underscores can be added to page titles using DISPLAYTITLE (for example, see _NSAKEY, but the page title in the database would then have to be Summer, for which this isn't the primary topic. So, suggesting move to a disambiguated title instead of one containing a technical workaround. Pppery 01:08, 4 November 2016 (UTC)
- (Discuss) – Primera División of Chile → Chilean Primera División – I checked all of the football leagues in Spanish speaking countries that call their league the "Primera División" and all of the English pages have the same formatting which is "Demonym Primera División". The origianl name of the page was the Chilean Primera División but somebody changed it for some reason and it's only fitting that it follow the same formattig as the rest of the leagues. - AquilaXIII (talk) 00:49, 4 November 2016 (UTC)
- (Discuss) – TimeSplitters (series) → TimeSplitters – Series has more than 3 video game articles now per WP:NCVG, set this page to be the primary article. – Neverrainy (talk) 00:28, 4 November 2016 (UTC)

- (Discuss) – Sincik → Sincik, Adıyaman Province – Current title is ambiguous with Sincik, Polatlı and Sincik, Haymana. Armbrust The Homunculus 23:25, 3 November 2016 (UTC)
- (Discuss) – Unreal → Unreal (1998 video game) – The current primary topic situation with the 1998 video game at the ambiguous title could be seen as a WP:SURPRISE since the series which it is part of, Unreal (series), and the video game engine used for this game and other video game series, Unreal Engine, could be considered just as much of a primary topic as the 1998 video game. However, I do not think that Unreal (series) should be moved to Unreal for a couple of reasons: 1) Unreal Engine has established notability separate from the video game series since it is used in video games not related to the series, and 2) Unreal (series) moving to Unreal may not meet WP:NCVG naming standards since the original "Unreal" series only had 2 games: The one currently at Unreal and Unreal II: The Awakening, though there could be an argument made that Unreal Tournament and its sequels are directly part of that series (even with the article stating in the lead that it is the second title of the Unreal series), but this may be unclear since some sources show Unreal Tournament as a spin-off series and others show it a true part of the Unreal series. Steel1943 (talk) 21:35, 3 November 2016 (UTC)
- (Discuss) – James Ellsworth (wrestler) → James Ellsworth – Originally linked to Lincoln Ellsworth but what's the sense of linking his parent's name to that article? Advised to move it there unless if there are other 'James Ellsworth' in this article aside from the rising WWE star and Lincoln Ellsworth's father. j3j3j3m0n 19:35, 3 November 2016 (UTC)
- (Discuss) – United States presidential election debates → United States presidential debates – The word "election" adds nothing here in terms of clarity while running against WP:COMMONNAME. For example, united states "presidential debates" -wikipedia returns about 10 times the results of the longer form. The margins were even more lopsided in Google Books, and more still in Google Scholar, so we can rule out the idea that "presidential debate" is an uninformed shorthand. The category for the topic is indeed Category:United States presidential debates; subcats for the 2008, 2012, and 2016 debates use the longer form, and I'll request speedy renaming of them (C2C/C2D) if this request is successful. Finally, WP:CONCISE suggests we should prefer the shorter name, even if all else were equal. --BDD (talk) 18:44, 3 November 2016 (UTC)
- United States presidential election debates, 2000 → United States presidential debates, 2000
- United States presidential election debates, 2004 → United States presidential debates, 2004

- (Discuss) – Star of the Sea (disambiguation) → Star of the Sea – no primary topic, therefore extension not required – Inwind (talk) 12:57, 3 November 2016 (UTC)
- (Discuss) – Award Scheme Development and Accreditation Network → ASDAN – The organisation that this page refers to was once called by the expanded acronym, i.e. Award Scheme Development and Accreditation Network. This is no longer the case and instead the organisation is known solely by the title 'ASDAN'. In otherwords, ASDAN is no longer an acronym but a name in and of itself. Evidence of this would be would be on the FAQ page (https://www.asdan.org.uk/about/faqs) there is a question entitled "What does ASDAN stand for?" Robforrest (talk) 11:08, 3 November 2016 (UTC)
- (Discuss) – Marketing performance measurement and management → Marketing performance measurement – For the reasons given above in 2009 by DGG, which I still find persuasive. The full current title "Marketing performance measurement and management" is not found in any books, nor "Marketing performance management", but only "Marketing performance measurement", see this Ngram. – Fayenatic London 10:16, 3 November 2016 (UTC)
- (Discuss) – UN Plaza → United Nations Plaza (Bucharest) – Make United Nations Plaza a three-way disambiguation page for the three items (at least) covered in the current page's hatnote, with UN Plaza a redirect to that disambiguation page. The present name is malformed per WP:ACRONYMTITLE, being an informal abbreviation of a translation, and not the proper name (or the most common name) of the location in Romania (nor of any other). The present micro-stub on that location is also not the primary topic for the names "UN Plaza" or "United Nations Plaza" in English; the location in San Francisco clearly is, as easily demonstrated by searching for either of those quoted strings at Google News. United Nations Plaza, San Francisco (among other redirs) is presently covered as a subtopic at Civic Center, San Francisco, but could easily be a separate article (again, just the Google News hits alone are sufficient to demonstrate notability and to provide article creation fodder). The stub on the Bucharest location is also mis-focused. It is dwelling on a particular building (properly the United Nations Plaza Building, in English, when the plaza itself (Piața Națiunile Unite in Romanian) is more notable, and the building on it is a subtopic of that. I've already created every sane redirect for both location in English, and in Romanian for the Romanian one. — SMcCandlish ☺ ☏ ¢ ≽ʌⱷ҅ᴥⱷʌ≼ 06:21, 3 November 2016 (UTC)
- (Discuss) – Michael Bennett → Michael Bennett (director) – TL/DR - Michael Bennett isn't the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC (fails usage), so it should be moved to Michael Bennett (director) which then allows the existing DAB of Michael Bennett (disambiguation) to move to Michael Bennett per WP:DABNAME ("The title of a disambiguation page is the ambiguous term itself, provided there is no primary topic for that term."). - (Discuss) – Other White (classification of ethnicity in the United Kingdom) → Other White – Revert move from this title per WP:PRECISE, considering that Other White currently redirects to this article. (Note: This article was moved to this title from Other White in December 2015 with rationale why, so fixing the move WP:BOLDly per WP:PRECISE could be considered controversial.) Steel1943 (talk) 19:41, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
- (Discuss) – Tadeusz Kościuszko University of Technology → Cracow University of Technology – This is the official name of the University according to their website. Cities and universities named after them don't need to have the same name on Wikipedia, see Peking University and Beijing, China Genealogizer (talk) 19:10, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
- (Discuss) – Hurrah, the School Is Burning → Hurra, die Schule brennt! – I cannot find any evidence that the film has been released in any English-speaking country or have an official title in English universally accepted by English-speakers. German films for teenage or adult audiences (the age group that tends to prefer subtitles to dubbing) usually retain their original German title or adopt a German sounding title likely to appeal to and be understood by the audience e.g. Das Boot and The Edukators respectively. Although the Internet Movie Database refers to the film by an English title when read in English, the poster shown in that article uses the German title and I have not been able to find any videotape, DVD or download releases on any official retailers' sites from the English-speaking World. The IMDb's site can be edited similarly to Wikipedia, though I think the edits there are reviewed by administrators, so it is not necessarily a reliable source. The film is referred to by its German title by the British Film Institute but when I search for it on the website of the BBFC (the body responsible for the age rating of films in the United Kingdom) the search does not turn up any results. The only other non-German Wikipedia article for the film is in Polish but that uses the German title. Tk420 (talk) 19:08, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
- (Discuss) – Pedagogical University of Kraków → Pedagogical University of Cracow – This is the official name of the University according to their website. Cities and universities named after them don't need to have the same name on Wikipedia, see Peking University and Beijing, China Genealogizer (talk) 19:05, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
- (Discuss) – Kraków University of Economics → Cracow University of Economics – This is the official name of the University according to their website. Cities and universities named after them don't need to have the same name on Wikipedia, see Peking University and Beijing, China Genealogizer (talk) 19:00, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
- (Discuss) – List of sovereign states → List of countries – When people want to find a list of countries, they're expecting to find an article named just that, not some esoteric jargon that most people don't use. The difference between "country" and "sovereign state" is mostly just semantics and "List of countries" already redirects here. Both readers and editors can reasonably assume that "countries" refers to what this list currently calls "sovereign states", as opposed to constituent countries or other uses of the term, since the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC of a list called "List of countries" is most likely the former anyways. Other relevant guideline key words: WP:ASTONISH, WP:RECOGNIZABLE, WP:COMMONNAME Prisencolin (talk) 18:45, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
- (Discuss) – Douglas Haig, 1st Earl Haig → Douglas Haig – WP:COMMONNAME and WP:NCPEER. He is far better known as Sir Douglas Haig, C-in-C of the British Expeditionary Force, than as the Earl Haig, C-in-C Home Forces and founder of the Haig Fund. Opera hat (talk) 15:42, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
- (Discuss) – Paddy Murphy (Liverpudlian) → Paddy Murphy (seaman) – We do not disambiguate by where people come from or live; we disambiguate by what they do. In any case, Murphy was not a Liverpudlian. He just lived in Liverpool. I have already tried to move it, but it was moved back with the comment "no, this was better: his primary significance is that he lived in England (specifically Liverpool)". Nobody is significant just for living in England or in Liverpool. He is actually significant for being a relative of the Japanese Emperor who lived in England and served in the British Merchant Navy. Where he lived in England is utterly irrelevant to his notability. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:21, 2 November 2016 (UTC)

- (Discuss) – Chulabhorn Walailak → Chulabhorn – The princess's names are just "Chulabhorn" and "Ubol Ratana". They are officially styled in English as "HRH Princess Chulabhorn" and "Princess Ubol Ratana".[2] The rest are parts of their ceremonial names ("Chulabhorn Walailak Akra Rajakumari" and "Ubolratana Rajakanya Sirivadhana Barnavadi"), which are not officially used in English. (Note: Walailak should actually be spelled "Valayalaksana", as Sanskrit-based transliteration is preferred for royal names, but even the government isn't consistent here.) Paul_012 (talk) 11:30, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
- (Discuss) – Quezon City Reception House → Boracay Mansion – Concise and common name. The colloquial term is much more commonly used by local media than the official name. Interaksyon, Rappler, GMA News. Similar to Coconut Palace. Shhhhwwww!! (talk) 09:35, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
- (Discuss) – Latter Day Church of Christ → Kingston Clan – While "Latter Day Church of Christ" is the official name of the church organized by this group, the group is far more well known as the "Kingston Clan". This is therefore the common name that should be used. The article contains information on the financial holdings of the group as well as information about the church organization. The financial holdings are not held by the church, but by the Davis County Co-operative Society, which is another organization that the group has established. Thus, "Kingston Clan" would also be a more inclusive, broader name, since it would be an overarching name for the group which has a number of organizations within it, including the Latter Day Church of Christ and the Davis County Co-op. - (Discuss) – Star (2016 TV series) → Star (TV series) – The Filipino series would not be considered that popular on the English Wikipedia. – 2601:8C:4001:DCF4:1869:C5E8:1DC:2AA2 (talk) 01:33, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
- (Discuss) – ±1-sequence → Sign sequence – I think "sign sequence" is a common-enough name for this concept, and it would be preferable to have a title that uses English text rather than mathematical notation (for instance, because such titles are easier to search for). Because of the difficulty in searching the current title, I can't even provide adequate statistics for how common the current name is in comparison to the proposed one. If we agree to make this move, we can still continue to mention the current name as an alternative in the article text. David Eppstein (talk) 00:35, 2 November 2016 (UTC)

The current Wikipedia page KNPG-LD refers to the station now known as KBJO-LD, the callsign which was given to the Telemundo affiliate, broadcasting on virtual channel 30, on November 1, 2016. - (Discuss) – Sex differences in religion → Gender and religion – This article was originally titled "Gender and religion", but was moved (without discussion) to "Sex differences in religion" in order to conform with all the "Sex differences in..." articles. The problem is that all the other "Sex differences in..." articles are about differences between men and women with regard to a particular topic, such as Sex differences in memory, Sex differences in schizophrenia, etc. This article has nothing to do with differences between men and women. It's about how the topic of gender is handled in various religions. The original title was much more appropriate, IMO. Kaldari (talk) 19:55, 1 November 2016 (UTC)

Due to 'lobby' having many meanings it isn't really possible to use an ngram or similar methods to demonstrate one way or the other whether 'foyer' or 'lobby' is the WP:COMMONNAME for the room in question, however WP:NATURALDIS clearly states that "using an alternative name that the subject is also commonly called in English reliable sources, albeit not as commonly as the preferred-but-ambiguous title" meaning that even if lobby is the more common (which I have my doubts about) then the page should still be moved to foyer. - (Discuss) – Step Up Revolution → Step Up: Revolution – Step Up: Revolution is the title of the film, but some sources were using the title without a colon all except where is using the colon from Amazon.com, MovieWeb, Tune Find, Decider, Netflix and Microsoft. The colon is a important part of the title, like other films using it (similar to Step Up: Revolution – Music from the Motion Picture) and this is consider as a common name. — it instead appears to be an original research addition for some reason other than actual title accuracy. On more than one occasion now, an anonymous IP has gone around Wikipedia actively breaking links to this article by prematurely rewording them to the correct title despite the fact that it makes them redlinks, so I'm submitting this for discussion on their behalf since they likely don't know how to do it themselves — but if this is going to keep happening, then the title needs to be fixed. 60.50.249.205 (talk) 09:00, 1 November 2016 (UTC)

- (Discuss) – Rebel Heart (The Corrs song) → Rebel Heart (The Corrs instrumental) – (or Rebel Heart (instrumental) per RFC consensus). Same as before. This is not a song, it doesn't have lyrics; you can sing this "song" as much as you can sing Symphony No. 5 (Mozart). "Rebel Heart" received a Grammy-nomination for Best Pop Instrumental Performance (given to instrumental-only records), AMG calls it an instrumental, it is sold as an instrumental, and the fact that there is nowhere in Wikipedia that forbids to classify songs as songs and non-lyrical records as compositions/instrumentals futher supports the usage of "instrumental" and less the, in this case misleading, "song". © Tbhotch™ (en-2.5). 05:00, 1 November 2016 (UTC)

- (Discuss) – CAD → CAD (disambiguation) – Moving the disambiguation page here was plainly a bad idea. The huge number of pages that had to be disambiguated after the move should have been a clue. CAD (computer-aided design) is used in every company in the world that designs anything from a pencil to a spacecraft. The acronym is well known and widely used outside of the design environment, perhaps even better known than its full name. The same cannot be said for coronary artery disease. The acronym there is probably only used much by health professionals. Pageviews of the article page are not evidence of use of the CAD acronym. As for Canadian dollar, I doubt that anyone has tried to find that page by typing "CAD". Did no one think to inform the Wikiprojects that have computer-aided design within their scope? They should have been informed, and if they had been I suspect a rather different result would have been arrived at to the discussion on a backwater disambiguation talk page. If this move is allowed to stand I predict that it won't be long before there are a heap more CAD links created that will need disambiguating all over again. - (Discuss) – Claudio Villa (singer) → Claudio Villa – Two dabs situation with a clear primary topic. Claudio Villa (singer) was a singer and actor who recorded several thousand songs, sold 45 million records, starred in over a dozen notable films, entered the Eurovision twice, won the Sanremo Music Festival four times, has entries in dozens of printed encyclopedias. Claudio Villa (comics) is a barely notable comics cover illustrator. A hatnote in the singer's article could suffice. Page views show the singer's page visited 94% times. Searches in Google News and Google Books show the singer being the primary topic as well, in spite of the illustrator being still active while the singer died in 1987. A recent edit changed this to a 1950 release based on how AFI lists it, which leaves the title currently contradicting the rest of the article. I don't think this article is the primary topic and I believe it needs to be moved to the title with parentheses (e.g. "KAMI (group)" or "KAMI (organization)"). 153.207.35.208 (talk) 15:48, 31 October 2016 (UTC)
- (Discuss) – Hatch Act → Hatch Act (disambiguation) – While there are two acts known as the Hatch Act, it's very clear that the 1939 act is much more noteworthy and much more likely to be referred to simply as "the Hatch Act". Here are a couple of the first sources that come up when you google "hatch act" that all talk about the 1939 act without bothering to specify "of 1939": [15] [16] [17]. The 1939 act has come up in the news very recently, and with no exception (that I could find anyway), all news outlets seem to be calling it simply "the Hatch Act" (rather than "the Hatch Act of 1939"); examples: CNN, New York Times, The Hill, New York Daily News, Slate. Per WP:COMMONNAME, articles should be titled with their commonly recognized name rather than their formal/"correct" name. Therefore, I'm proposing that the 1939 act be moved to "Hatch Act", that the current disambiguation page at "Hatch Act" be moved to "Hatch Act (disambiguation)", and that "Hatch Act of 1939" be made to redirect to "Hatch Act". Of course, this move will also necessitate adding a {{for}} template at the top of the 1939 act article, so that the 1887 act can also be found. IagoQnsi (talk) 14:41, 31 October 2016 (UTC)

- (Discuss) – Settle-Carlisle Line → Settle to Carlisle Line – I actually think something of a consensus was starting to form for this new title in the discussion above, but I won't challenge the close since it wasn't actually the proposed title - it will be easier to reopen with the new proposal. My reasoning? WP:CONSISTENCY mainly. Take a look at Category:Railway lines in North West England, and you'll see this one is clearly the outlier. All other lines are named with "A to B Line" format, for example Leeds to Morecambe Line, Liverpool to Wigan Line, etc. The argument made above that this terminology should only apply for one direction lines isn't really valid, since all those other examples are also two-way lines. - (Discuss) – White House Farm murders → White House Farm Killings – Following BRD process I propose that we change the title to 'Killings', as opposed to 'Murders'. There is at least some doubt that these were murders (and we may consider is significant that JB is the only life-tariff prisoner in the UK protesting his innocence) - but they were undoubtedly killings, hence according to article naming policy we should use a non-judgemental descriptive title for the article. It will mean that the title remains valid whatever view is taken about the merits of the police case or Jeremy Bamber's defence. A further reason for the rename is that this is effectively a BLP topic, hence NPOV is of prime importance. Springnuts (talk) 14:07, 29 October 2016 (UTC)

- (Discuss) – The Love Boat: The Next Wave → Love Boat: The Next Wave – The title of the show is Love Boat: The Next Wave not The Love Boat: The Next Wave, because it was used in the show and the same from the IMDb website - it instead appears to be an original research addition for some reason other than actual title accuracy. - (Discuss) – Hindko dialect → Hindko – Unnecessary disambiguation (per the language naming conventions) as it's the primary topic (Hindko people appears to be a secondary ethno-linguistic designation). If anyone disagrees that this is the primary topic, please bear in mind that there isn't a suitable natural disambiguator at hand – the use of either "language" or "dialect" is ideologically laden and likely to cause controversy. The article's title was actually Hindko language from its creation in 2005 until a move in 2013, executed by one particularly disruptive sock. - (Discuss) – Sonatas and partitas for solo violin (Bach) → Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin (Bach) – (See also preliminary indirect discussions at Talk:List of organ compositions by Johann Sebastian Bach#Sonatas: content of list page, and spin-off article, and Talk:Organ Sonatas (Bach)#Requested move 8 September 2016). Rationale for the proposed article title change: "fixed set" principle at Wikipedia:Naming conventions (music)#Capitalization of generic names, the same way it is applied to Bach's Cello Suites, his Organ Sonatas and his Six Sonatas for Violin and Harpsichord. However, # in the last related WP:RM (Talk:Organ Sonatas (Bach)#Requested move 8 September 2016) reliable sources seemed to have a clear preference for the capitalised version: in the present case capitalised and non-capitalised versions of the name seem to occur both in equal measure for the last 50 years or so (see ngram) # this isn't a set of six compositions of the same type: three are sonatas and three are partitas – nonetheless they are a clear set of six, see e.g. Bach's title of the set: "Sei Solo" (translated as "Six Solos", but that last name is not by far the current common name, nor a really recognisable name according to current standards) # the name has been stable at the current non-capitalised version of the title for a considerable amount of time – although in the past the page has been moved around a few times, and merged from other versions of the name The main reasons for moving to the capitalised version of the name nonetheless are thus consistency, and application of the guideline that strives for that consistency. Also, the three current child articles of this article (Partita for Violin No. 1, Partita for Violin No. 2 and Partita for Violin No. 3) all three capitalise "Violin", so I don't know why the parent article wouldn't. --Francis Schonken (talk) 14:29, 18 October 2016 (UTC)
