To report an error in content currently or imminently on the Main Page, use the appropriate section below.
- Where is the error? An exact quotation of the text in question helps.
- Offer a correction if possible.
- References are helpful, especially when reporting an obscure factual or grammatical error.
- Time zones. The Main Page runs on Coordinated Universal Time (UTC, currently 21:42 on 1 November 2024) and is not adjusted to your local time zone.
- Can you resolve the problem yourself? If the error lies primarily in the content of an article linked from the Main Page, fix the problem there before reporting it here. Text on the Main Page generally defers to the articles with bolded links. Upcoming content on the Main Page is usually only protected from editing beginning 24 hours before its scheduled appearance. Before that period, you can be bold and fix any issues yourself.
- Do not use {{edit fully-protected}} on this page, which will not get a faster response. It is unnecessary, because this page is not protected, and causes display problems because this is not a talk page. (See the bottom of this revision for an example.)
- No chit-chat. Lengthy discussions should be moved to a suitable location elsewhere, such as the talk page of the relevant article or project.
- Respect other editors. Another user wrote the text you want changed, or reported an issue they see in something you wrote. Everyone's goal should be producing the best Main Page possible. The compressed time frame of the Main Page means sometimes action must be taken before there has been time for everyone to comment. Be civil to fellow users.
- Reports are removed when resolved. Once an error has been addressed or determined not to be an error, or the item has been rotated off the Main Page, the report will be removed from this page. Check the revision history for a record of any discussion or action taken; no archives are kept.

Errors with "In the news"
- The 2024 Iranian strikes in Israel event should read "In retaliation for an Israeli airstrike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Iran conducts missile and drone strikes against Israel." There has been a train wreck at Talk:Israeli bombing of the Iranian embassy in Damascus trying to get the article moved, but reliable sources always use "consulate". Abductive (reasoning) 02:51, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- I'm more comfortable with the news item wording matching the article title than opening a can of worms here. Schwede66 04:01, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- It's an embarrassment to the Main Page. Abductive (reasoning) 04:54, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- I'm "more comfortable" being accurate, rather then consistently making a mistake. But Wikipedia isn't her for our comfort; it's here for the facts. Jehochman Talk 15:00, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- It was an adjacent building, not the embassy. Iran claims it was a consulate, though it's unclear if that's true. But since Iran itself doesn't claim it was the embassy this should be reworded. How could such an error got in the main page? MeUser42 (talk) 11:37, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- It is clearly inaccurate and should be pulled if we can't get conensus. Maybe request ArbCom assistance if the stonewallers can't be sorted out at WP:AE. Jehochman Talk 14:59, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- The simple fix would be to say "in retaliation for an Israeli airstrike on Damascus, Iran..." (taking out the consulate part) Masem (t) 15:01, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- That's a great idea. Don't get involved in the article title ping-pong that's ongoing. Jehochman Talk 15:06, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- I'm more comfortable with the news item wording matching the article title than opening a can of worms here. Schwede66 04:01, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
Errors in "Did you know ..."
In the first hook, either lower-case "Autumn/Winter" or upper-case "collection", no? Primergrey (talk) 23:46, 13 April 2024 (UTC)
- I've dropped those caps. Schwede66 02:51, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
The 2024 Hillhead by-election does not redirect to the related section.
