Welcome to Wikipedia, Tacyarg! I am Marek69 and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

The article Kate Heartfield has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Non-notable individual lacking in-depth, non-trivial support. Nominated for an award, but did not win. WP:CRYSTAL related to books to be published in 2018 and 2020. Individual fails WP:N.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. reddogsix (talk) 22:43, 20 October 2017 (UTC)

ArbCom 2017 election voter message
Hello, Tacyarg. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for January 15
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Roger Hutchinson (writer), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Harris (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:26, 15 January 2018 (UTC) Sorted! Tacyarg (talk) 11:08, 15 January 2018 (UTC)
Itchen College Changes
I work at the college and we’re building our Wiki page with correct information about our facilities and what we offer our students. Surely Wikipedia should be as accurate as possible and by adding this information, we’re creating an accurate and up to date pages. I also added references to the information on changes I made today, as well as an image of our magazine. Ardyer14 (talk) 22:32, 16 January 2018 (UTC)

AfD advice continued
I am not 100% sure, but I would highlight the suspicions of a conflict of interest. For a broad set of reasons such conflicts of interest are fairly common in Wikipedia. I guess to me it does not neccesarily show malicious intent, so does not run afoul of assume good faith to point such things out.John Pack Lambert (talk) 22:34, 22 January 2018 (UTC)
Considered for Deletion Zoe Strimpel
Hello. I am the primary author of the Zoe Strimpel article. This article is being considered for deletion because of lack of coverage of her. Since the notice appeared, I added additional press coverage as citations. Please take a look and let me know if this enough enough independent source coverage to show notability. Cheers. Rgonsalv (talk) 03:07, 24 January 2018 (UTC)
Gregory Salcido
I have removed your notability tag on the Gregory Salcido article because: (1) He was the mayor of a city with 60,000 residents which in itself makes him notable enough for a wikipedia article (2) His speech/actions have generated enough controversy in the past few days to go viral which probably seals his notability. If you have any questions or objections, feel free to contact me. Thank you. VictorianMutant(Talk) 18:21, 29 January 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for the tag. If I can't find some relaible sources covering this school (most likely over the diversity issue) I'll take it to AFD. Meters (talk) 20:42, 29 January 2018 (UTC)

The fact that the source of a lot of the info comes from the school's own website shouldn't make it an unreliable source. What other site could be more reliable than the school's own? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Coolnerde (talk • contribs) 22:11, 10 February 2018 (UTC)
"Primary sources are often difficult to use appropriately. Although they can be both reliable and useful in certain situations, they must be used with caution in order to avoid original research. Although specific facts may be taken from primary sources, secondary sources that present the same material are preferred." No "original research" has been used in this instance. Also, a secondary source would also most likely be much less reliable. Also, "Self-published sources may be used as sources of information about themselves, especially in articles about themselves" So I do think that the school's website should be considered reliable. And, from your quote "Articles should be based on reliable, third-party, published sources with a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy," the school is the most reliable source of this information, and it is published, and there is no reason any of it would be inaccurate. Coolnerde (talk) 23:26, 10 February 2018 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) I took a look at this "article". After removing the WP:SCHOOLCRUFT that heavily emphasized WP:RECENT events and put a way WEIGHTy emphasis on poorly or non referenced events, removing the notables whose attendance was unsourced and the crufty crap there (his brother attend there too! Thanks for sharing), there isn't much left. 32 lines on what time the band practices, but not one word on the school's 60 year history. And no, Coolnerde, the school is not the best source. As a matter of fact, we couldn't care less what the school has to say about itself. Articles on schools in Wikipedia are NOT for the school. This one was written in its entirety to be useful for the school. Honestly, this was one of the worst school articles I've yet seen here. It isn't anymore. I exercised a nuclear solution to the problem. Tacyarg, would you want to take the lede on rebuilding it? Its been stubbed, so now any copy added can be properly sourced and weighted, and the out of guidelines Facebook-y junk can stay out. Middle and Elementary schools and AFD
Hi, Tacyarg. I wanted to thank you for all the work you're putting in on school articles. Can I give you a tip? If you encounter a middle or elementary school article that you're sure isn't notable (more on that in a minute), rather than PROD or AfD, just go ahead and redirect it to the most logical target. You do this by blanking the entire page including categories and replacing the content with #REDIRECT [[title of target article]] {{r from school}}.
The most logical choices for targets are:
- for a US public school, the school district's article (large districts sometimes have list articles for lower schools. If so, use that for the target).
- lacking a district article, or for most private schools, the education section of the article on the school's community would be best.
- for some church sponsored schools (especially Catholic), the diocese article may be more appropriate.
Middle and elementary schools are very seldom notable. Those that are, are usually notable for a reason other than being a school (example: being on a registry of historic buildings). The few that are notable as a school are generally notable for a highly historic event or because for some reason or another, they've been discussed extensively in academic sources.
Thanks for all you do, fellow Wikipedian. John from Idegon (talk) 10:46, 19 February 2018 (UTC)

Hi Tacyarg! Thanks for all your work. Just a friendly reminder that when placing {{COI}} and {{POV}} tags, as you did on Zoe Konstantopoulou, you should start a talk page discussion immediately. I've started a talk page section, where I encourage you to add any reasoning and try to form a consensus for article content, and I would suggest doing so on future tags as well. Thanks!! - Project Tagging - Your help is needed
Thanks to Earwig and his bot some articles had our project banner placed on their pages - this will let us monitor and support these articles better. However, the tagging received some complaints about too many incorrectly place tags (see here). Some help in going through the categories to be used by the bot would be appreciated. Thanks again
You do lots of great work on school articles. Thank you so much. One small thing - when you remove crufty content you're leaving edit summaries saying "content not notable". Well, notability does not apply to content; only to subjects for articles. The stuff you are removing needs to go without a doubt, but to avoid confusion, a better edit summary would be "removed unencyclopedic content". Thanks. You make my life easier! John from Idegon (talk) 21:12, 1 March 2019 (UTC)

How is Michael Jackson's song is inappropriate in Gloucestershire article?
Stop deleting that information! Your behaviour is inappropriate!
The song called "Days In Gloucestershire", comes from sessions in which Jackson, his producer and arranger for a long time, Brad Buxer and his trusted engineer, Michael Prince, collaborated. It was essentially the remedy to the previous theme of Jackson and Buxer, "I Am A Loser".
In short, Jackson and Buxer were staying in adjoining hotel rooms as they worked together on musical recordings in early 2003. Buxer, who was going through a breakup at the time, was awake late at night hanging around his room repeating: "I'm a loser, I'm just a loser!"
A moment later, Jackson, who could hear Buxer through the wall, knocked on his door, came in and asked, "What's the problem?"
"Oh, I'm a loser ... I'm just a loser!" Buxer replied, before explaining his situation.
"We're going to write a song about it," Jackson suggested. And they did it.
Moving up to 2004, Jackson and Buxer are back together working, this time along with Michael Prince, at the Neverland ranch.
Although there was an avant-garde studio in Neverland, Days in Gloucestershire was recorded in one of the guest bungalows on the ranch.
Buxer had a small studio set up in a bungalow, Prince was installed in another bungalow, and Jackson was staying with his children in another.
Jackson began living in the ranch bungalow with his children after his home, including his bedroom and private office, were raided by police on November 20, 2003, in connection with allegations of child abuse. Jackson was arrested, charged and was awaiting trial at that time (in which he would later be found innocent of all charges).
After writing a song about being a "loser", Jackson and Buxer began to talk about the things that made them happy and cheered them up when they felt depressed.
Michael recalled that when he was with the Jackson 5, he visited a beautiful place in England called Gloucestershire. Jackson, however, took the creative license (as he often did) in the pronunciation of the county of South West, pronouncing it as it reads, not as it really should be said.
According to Jackson, the time he spent in Gloucestershire when he was a teenager three decades earlier, while on tour with his brothers, was still one of his most precious memories. And so, just like they did with "Loser," Jackson and Buxer turned life into art.
Buxer did the music and Jackson wrote the lyrics, then Brad went home for a few days. Prince stayed at the ranch with Jackson and continued to record all the vocals with the King of Pop in an impromptu studio right there in the cabin bathroom, which was not an unusual thing for Jackson.
However, unfortunately, as with the vast majority of the material he was working on during the last years of his life, Jackson never came to complete the subject.
As it is in its final version, the song has a single verse and a chorus that Jackson sings again and again.
"What I did was go and do the first verse and the chorus and I did not do a second verse," says Teddy Riley talking about Jackson's habits when writing or recording demos. "It's just to work on the idea."
This is the way Jackson worked to know which topics he was comfortable with and which ones he did not.
"What I do when I write is to do a rough version, just to listen to the chorus, just to see how much I like the chorus," explained Jackson. "If it works for me that way when it's unpolished, then I know it will work ... I follow that same process with each song It's the melody The melody is the most important If the melody catches me, I'll continue until the next He passed".
"Days In Gloucestershire" is by no means complete, but judging by the positive reaction of Jackson's loyal fans, since he first appeared on the internet yesterday, and for those who are simply looking at it as a work of art, that Unfinished state does not seem to matter in the least. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:445:500:A2E:29CA:2A3F:65CA:EB3 (talk) 01:25, 4 March 2019 (UTC)

Hello Tacyarg I am chimneysweep101 - is this the correct place to talk? I am rather confused as to why you say the "Gwenan Edwards page" needs to be deleted and why each sentence was changed to start with "Edwards" rather than "she"? This is an ex-colleague of mine, the facts of which I know to be accurate. If you look at the previous histories of the page, much was already verified - but it is very difficult to verify absolutely everything. I know she would be very upset if it was published with inaccurate "facts" especially as she is a journalist. Can you clarify? Many thanks. Chimneysweep101 (talk) 23:51, 20 May 2019 (UTC)
