List of Top Gear (2002 TV series) episodes
This list of Top Gear episodes consists of episodes from the 2002 format of the BBC television series Top Gear, conceived by Jeremy Clarkson and Andy Wilman. For its first 22 series the programme was presented by Clarkson, Richard Hammond, James May and The Stig. Secondhand car specialist Jason Dawe was a co-presenter for the first series, but was replaced by May for the second series. In addition, there have been two shorter episodes produced for charity: Top Gear of the Pops, produced for Red Nose Day, and Top Ground Gear Force, produced for Sport Relief. These two episodes are not part of the episode count. There was also an Ashes to Ashes parody for BBC Children in Need which is not included.
A twenty-third series was commissioned and began airing on 29 May 2016. It is the first series following the departure of Clarkson, Hammond and May, with Chris Evans as host.[1][2][3] The Stig still features in the new series.[4]
Episodes are listed in order of their original UK air date along with featured cars, challenges, and guests. For more information on features and challenges included in each series, visit each series' respective page. Comprehensive lists of challenges and races can be found at Top Gear challenges and Top Gear Races.
As of 3 July 2016[update], 184 episodes of the series, along with multiple special episodes, have been broadcast, spanning 23 series.

Special episodes (2015)
In November 2015, the BBC announced "Top Gear: From A-Z", described as a "two-part extravaganza" in the form of a clip show composed of material from the previous twenty-two series of Top Gear.[21] It is narrated by comedian John Bishop with celebrities presenting their favourite highlights from the show;[22] the programme did not use the Top Gear studio.[22]
