Recent edit to Sanctity of life

[edit]

Hello. Thank you for your recent edit to Sanctity of life. Your edit included one or more links to the page Conservative, which is a disambiguation page. This type of page is intended to direct users to more specific topics. Ordinarily we try to avoid creating links to disambiguation pages, since it is preferable to link directly to the specific topic relevant to the context. You can help Wikipedia by revising the links you added to Sanctity of life to refer directly to the most relevant topic. (This message was generated by an automatic process; if you believe it to be in error, please accept our apologies and report the error to help us improve this feature.) --Russ (talk) 14:07, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

AFD etiquette

[edit]

Please take a look at "AfD etiquette" in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion In AFDs about deceased persons, please refrain from saying "yawn" as in [1] when discussing how you do not want to keep memorial articles about 9/11 victims, or anyone else, for that matter. "Yawn" is not a valid argument for deletion, and unnecessarily demeans the deceased, and is likely to cause additional pain for the friends and relatives of the deceased. I say this even though I agree that we do not need all these memorial articles. Thanks. Edison 16:29, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Gerhard Buchwald article was started in Dec 2005, isn't that long enough to wait for content to appear? Midgley 19:29, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Talk page icons

[edit]

There is indeed. I don't have the link offhand, but if you search the site for 'userboxes', you should get there! Katharineamy 18:36, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Did you find them okay? Katharineamy 18:05, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: SVG Files

[edit]

As far as I know, there is no centralized collection of 'SVG files, although I might be wrong. To add standardized icons, basically do whoat Katharineamy suggested you do and use userboxes or the like and use the pictures from them. The only other way would be to go to special:allpages and then narrow down the namespace to images, which should then display a link to all images, which theoretically allows you to see all files of any type. This last method is somewhat impractical as there are thousands of images. I can't really provide any information more detailed than that. I would like to ask (according to Seraphimblade's advise of today) if the two rewritten articles could be restored. You find them at the moment here: [[User:DGG/sandbox/Chrbartolf] or outside Wikipedia: [2]. Thank you for your kind attention and soon responses. Chrbartolf 30 June 2007

I looked at the history and you seem to be confused about who did what. I reverted the vandalism about "racist old white guys" that I assume you are referring to. Someone else then edited the article. Then someone came along and reverted my revision.Yngvadottir (talk) 23:02, 26 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Nonstopdrivel

I appreciate the edit you did on Kirk's page. However, I am wondering what criteria was used to insert so many "Citation Needed"s. Aren't a few of these "Citations Needed" a bit unnecessary?

I removed one "citation needed" in the sentence "Herbstreit co-hosts College GameDay with Rece Davis, Desmond Howard, and Lee Corso." This is a very established fact. If there is any question, using the embedded link to "College GameDay", Kirk's participation and the participation of his co-host's is clearly documented.

Edit summaries

[edit]

Information icon Hi Nonstopdrivel. Thank you for your cleanup work to Napoleon Hill. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. Thanks! Edit at Chronic fatigue syndrome

[edit]

Hello. You recently switched a date format over at Chronic fatigue syndrome#Awareness day. Although Wikipedia does not have a preferred date format; it does request internal consistency, and that article has been tagged for editors to use dmy dates. As such I have reverted the change. Whilst I understand that the awareness day is called International May 12th Awareness Day, the date within the prose is not part of the wikilink. If you feel strongly about using the "May 12" format please start the discussion over at Talk:Chronic fatigue syndrome, however, please leave as "12 May" pending any discussion outcome. (I am not watching this page, so please ping me if you want my attention.) Little pob (talk) 13:09, 16 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
