== Candide Thovex Youtube videos ==

Hi,
I am new to Wikipedia. I have been asked by Candide Thovex's management team to add historical information to his entry. I have included YouTube videos that illustrate historic moments from his career. In most cases they come from his official YouTube channel, his main sponsor (Quiksilver), or from the channels of the events which are referenced. So, in these cases they are about as valid a source as possible and the only sources available on the Internet. If you have any suggestions as to where I may find more valid sources, please let me know.

Revision as of 16:01, 21 February 2015

Peace is a state of balance and understanding in yourself and between others, where respect is gained by the acceptance of differences, tolerance persists, conflicts are resolved through dialogue, people's rights are respected and their voices are heard, and everyone is at their highest point of serenity without social tension.

Martin, As you archive so regularly (unlike some editors ...) I thought that this would
a) Brighten up your page, and
b) Add a serious tone amidst all the hilarity.
All the best to you and yours –

Coleridge, Keswick and exotic substances

I've taken the liberty of blitzing your last addition, as it seems to me to be relevant to STC's article rather than throwing any light on Keswick. Quite prepared to engage in a friendly talk-page brawl, of course, but besides that would very much like your thoughts at the FAC. Tim riley talk 20:46, 1 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

No worries. I was in two minds myself. Had never thought of Keswick as a hot bed of poetic fever. Have added it in over at Christabel. Martinevans123 (talk) 20:52, 1 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Elias the shrimp fisher? How dare you, Sir! Hafspajen (talk) 22:29, 3 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Is it just me that finds this strange ? The BBC and The Times report her age at the date of death as 64. The one reference that seemingly cited 1948 as her birth year has been replaced by a (citation needed} tag, yet Wiki still has the article showing her birth year as 1948. It hardly accords with the, usually very reliable, cited references.

Derek R Bullamore (talk) 10:20, 3 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I think someone removed "unreliable refs", mentioning birth name in their edit summary? But I agree, that does look odd. Martinevans123 (talk) 10:36, 3 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Free BMD clearly shows that registration of her birth was in September 1948, So 1950, and age 64, is definitely wrong. I have amended accordingly, but the month and day can be verified only from the full birth record. Very surprised that both The Times and the BBC have got this wrong. Martinevans123 (talk) 12:38, 3 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, me too. I have thought for a while that 1948 was the more likely, given the widespread practice of lopping a year, or three, off many pop performers ages. However, are we correct in ignoring such 'reliable sources' and importing a piece of 'original research' ?? I suspect more evidence may emerge following the post mortem or, more likely, once the death certificate is available.
Derek R Bullamore (talk) 13:34, 3 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure. That free BMD source seems perfectly reliable to me. It's odd that the process of simply searching for it on the web might be regarded as WP:OR. I'd even argue that it's a secondary source, as the birth certificate itself would be the primary. Perhaps Guy might be able to advise. Martinevans123 (talk) 13:42, 3 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
OK Hafs, what's with the skull again?

My heart aches, and a drowsy numbness pains
My sense, as though of hemlock I had drunk,
Or emptied some dull opiate to the drains
One minute past, and Lethe-wards had sunk:
’Tis not through envy of thy happy lot,
But being too happy in thine happiness,—
That thou, light-winged Dryad of the trees,
 In some melodious plot
Of beechen green, and shadows numberless,
Singest of summer in full-throated ease.

First stanza of "Ode to a Nightingale",
May 1819

My heart aches and a drowsy numbness pains
My senses, as though an anteater I'd seen ...
(panic spreads and the audience half rise)
A nasty long-nosed brute
(screams from the audience)
With furry legs and sticky darting tongue
I seem to feel its cruel jaws
Crunch crunch there go my legs
Snap snap my thorax too
(various screaming women faint)
My head's in a twain, there goes my brain
Swallow, swallow, swallow, slurp

(Daily) Telegraph

I take your point. However, the article is badly titled in my opinion as it separates the Daily ~ from the Sunday ~ (the latter having its own article which could just as well be a section within the main Telegraph page) which is not a distinction made in the online version. The article says: "Telegraph.co.uk is the online version of the newspaper. It includes articles from the print editions of The Daily Telegraph and The Sunday Telegraph". which is an increasingly archaic way of looking at it - these days news articles are written with all the various media in mind and the printed version is likely to become a minority format (if it isn't already). Sorry though, your amendment was correct. Btljs (talk) 08:02, 9 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I guess newspaper vendors will eventually be considered wholly Dickensian, even in London. Maybe we'll end up calling the article Telegraph.co.uk!. I agree a single article, that covers all days of the week, might be better. Martinevans123 (talk) 08:39, 9 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Oho, have some tea and some blues. Hafspajen (talk) 23:05, 23 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Basically it was a clean up of unnecessary detail and parts of it were poorly written. Parts looked like they had been copied from other sites but were missing key words. It also reeked of Recentism, especially since it was considerably longer than the section on his time in Cream. I'd like to see this article make it on the main page, but as it currently stands it won't and I was trying to pitch in a little and help. -- Scorpion0422 00:30, 27 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Scorpion0422. Thanks for your message and thanks for "pitching in". You said "Take a look at the difference between versions and you'll figure it out." Well, I certainly did look at the differences before reverting and they all looked like style changes and unexplained deletions. I was a bit perplexed since it was the first edit I had seen you make to that article, and you had initially left no edit summary. If there was copyvio there, I think it might have been useful to just delete all the copyvio bits and give the location of the original text that had been copied. I think it's also fair that some sections of an article will be longer, or more detailed, that others (particularly later ones). I don't see that as good reason to slash bits out. If sections don't have adequate sources, I think it's first better to try and find sources or to tag that no sources are available. For example, these three paras look like relevant facts to me that still belong:
"On 4 June 2011, Bruce played a special concert at the Royal Festival Hall in London, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary. The evening celebrated the 50th anniversary of the blues in Great Britain, and Bruce played with his Big Blues Band and special guest Joe Bonamassa.
"Festival appearances with his Big Blues Band continued throughout the UK and Europe during 2011. At the Cornbury Festival, Great Tew Park, Oxfordshire on 3 July where Bruce appeared as a special guest of the Stax label tribute band, The Staxs. The festival was recorded by Abbey Road Studios.
"Bruce started 2012 playing the Gerry Rafferty tribute concert in Glasgow, followed by a date with the traditional Celtic band Lau. BBC Scotland recorded a one hour special on Bruce, which also included a performance with Lau. The completed documentary Jack Bruce – The Man behind the Bass was transmitted in February 2012 on BBC Scotland. It featured new interviews, with Bruce, Clapton, Baker and Brown, as well as the concert footage featuring new versions of six career spanning songs, "We're Going Wrong", "Sunshine of Your Love", "Weird of Hermiston", "Theme for an Imaginary Western", "Keep it Down" and "Child Song"."
Whinge over. Thanks anyway. Martinevans123 (talk)
The third paragraph was left in. It was simply merged with the one above. The ones I did remove, I felt they weren't particularly notable. He is, after all, a musician and playing shows is what he does. So simply playing a concert isn't inherently notable. And I didn't feel those were worth noting. I should point out that the only section I edited was the final, so I'm sure there are other paragraphs that might not fit, I simply didn't have the time to do it. -- Scorpion0422 21:20, 27 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Lunar effect

Hey Martin,

You asked in your edit summary of lunar effect "what's a "significant ordinary effect"?" What I meant by that is what the first sentence of the article says: "simply (...) variation in light levels", because that is the only real difference between a full moon and a non-full moon: it just reflects more light from the Sun. Significant, but pretty ordinary compared to the claims described in the article. Greetings, Nederlandse Leeuw (talk) 23:01, 30 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If we have "significant extraordinary effect" in the caption for the main image at the top of the article, it might be worth explaining/ integrating this useage into the text? Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 23:05, 30 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Martinevans123. In case you haven't figured this out, I've got a group of my History of Psychology students working on the Neal Miller article. I see that you are a Master Editor. I hope you will bear with my students' mistakes and help them develop this article. Neal Miller is one of the most important 20th c. psychologists and I was surprised to see that there was so little about him on Wikipedia. This is a great project for my students, and we will appreciate any guidance. Feel free to list yourself on my course page. Thanks! Jim J.R. Council (talk) 22:46, 4 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your visit to User:Bishonen talk page might be helpful

Hello Martinevans: There is currently a section open concerning the "crazed editor" phenomenon on the User:Bishonen Talk page titled "Third time around at Freud". User:Bishonen is presently taking reports concerning one editor in particular who has been needlessly taking up an excessive amount of time from other editors on the Freud page. If you have a chance to visit the Bishonen Talk page, any short drop-in comment you might make on your experience with that other editor might help. Punctuation question.

Hi Martin, How are you? I just had a small question to ask you. I saw your edits on the Mel Giedroyc Wiki page, but saw that you had removed a few commas after dates., for example instead of saying "On 14 October, it was announced" you changed it to "On 14 October it was announced". I was just curious as to why you did that as I was taught in those situations to add a comma after the date. Is it a British versus a North American thing? I have checked various web pages from the UK and Canada, where there was a comma after a date. I was just curious.74.15.186.97 (talk) 20:51, 18 November 2014 (UTC)samusek2[reply]

I'm very well, thank you. How kind of you to ask. Martinevans123 (talk) 20:58, 18 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hm, a 74. Hafspajen (talk) 21:03, 18 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I support the removal of this comma. To some extent it is a UK/US thing perhaps. --John (talk) 21:22, 18 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You are very welcome, but I just wanted to know your opinion on my question. I have seen the commas added and left off on other different British Wikipedia pages and on other websites. Before reverting anything, I wanted to ask the opinion of the user who did the edit in the first place. I just wanted to check with Martin and you guys if it's a UK/US (Canada) thing before I do anything. Thanks!74.15.186.97 (talk) 21:53, 18 November 2014 (UTC)samusek2[reply]

We over here, in what's left of the Empire, know that commas used after an introductory phrase are the work of The Great Satan and are indicative of degeneracy and moral weakness. I need say no more, I feel. You Colonials will no doubt next be asking us to sprinkle our prose with "periods" or whatnot. Martinevans123 (talk) 22:15, 18 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I know some time has passed since this discussion, but it is a topic that has interested me for a while. In most instances I prefer no comma after an initial prepositional phrase, especially when the preposition is a short one like "in" or "on"; sometimes I think a comma is needed for the sake of clarity, but usually I don't think a comma is needed. I often see the comma and wonder why people add one (and I'm from the former colonies). CorinneSD (talk) 17:37, 2 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
As we all know, correct grammar is timeless (well, kind of). I think you are to be warmly applauded for your very sensible approach. And for flying the flag of good stout British grammar in the former colonies. Martinevans123 (talk) 17:48, 2 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
And for sentence fragments.
As for the matter at hand: contrary to what so many think, punctuation is not a programming language syntax, and many questions regarding placement of commas (in particular) are not subject to strict rules. Rather, it's often just a question of rhythm and pacing. EEng (talk) 18:55, 2 December 2014 (UTC) I thought you of all people would have something to say about [27]? [reply]

Climb, climb, swing

The concept of aesthetics has been the interest of philosophers such as Pluto, Hume and Cant, who understood aesthetics as something pure and searched the essence of beauty, or, the ontology of aesthetics. Squeeze (copying method)

Hi Martin. I've been reading archaeology quite intensely for over fifteen years now. In this field, a "squeeze" is a very common NOUN, not a verb, as you correctly have noticed. A typical sentence: "After the Mesha Stele was shattered by its Bedouin finders, the only way of restoring it was by using the squeeze taken by Salem al-Khoury." No archaeologist will ever ask you "using the WHAT?" if you tell him that. I'm just one step away from an important graduation exam, Wikipedia is a very useful tool for me sometimes and I make amendments when I think it's very much needed, but for now I don't have the time to write articles or alike. Once I take my exam, we can see about that. It seems to me quite common that terms marked as "article non existent" work like challenges to people with more time than me, who might otherwise not stop and consider writing one. It does not harm anyone in any way, so please, let's make this our last dialogue on this specific topic, shall we? I thank you. I hope we'll both soon find an article about the technique of taking a squeeze on Wik. Or not, one can only do so much. Now back to my studies. Have a great day!

I do hope this not our last dialogue on this subject! I'm very pleased that you see red links are a challenge to - I guess that is really what they are meant to be. And I certainly won't delete that entry at Squeeze - but don't be too surprised if some other zealot does. Very good luck in your graduation exam. These bands i put there are Southern Rock bands, ZZ Top played with them on several occasions. I am a huge ZZ Top fan and i know they belong there, Wiki Elvis (talk) 23:28, 7 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Congratulations on your discerning musical support. But you might want to discuss that at the article's Talk Page and gain consensus for your addition. Personally, I'd certainly expect to see those bands playing on the same bill, perhaps many times. But I'm not sure that is sufficient qualification for the "Associated Acts" parameter of the infobox. You might first want to have a look at how that's defined at Template:Infobox musical artist. Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 23:39, 7 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Don Carlos

The poster from the 1867 Paris production does not include a quote, but, if you know the original French version, there is a scene (which is not in the "standard", later Italian ones) in which the king arrives in time to see Rodrigo die. Hope this helps. Viva-Verdi (talk) 00:46, 12 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I was just thrown by a single set of quote marks at the end. I've now replaced with parentheses. Does this mean that the scene depicted in the poster is one that was taken from the 1846 Philippe II, Roi d'Espagne play by Eugène Cormon? Martinevans123 (talk) 13:22, 12 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Lend a hand?

I wonder if you could give some encouragement to our mutual friend Ritchie here. He and I have put a lot of work into it and I really don't want to start over. He hasn't had a chance to respond but maybe you can put in a good word to get him in a positive mood again. EEng (talk) 05:07, 13 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I need to repeat this request. Can you please come help get this back on track? Or maybe you'd like to take over the review. EEng (talk) 12:48, 13 January 2015 (UTC) And for once in your life be serious this time, okay?[reply]
Sorry "busy in real life"..... but, as you are so keen....
1. If was being serious, I'd say there is no time limit.
2. I'm reluctant to ever be serious about anything at Wikipedia any more (ever).
3. 1-3 may be read in any order.
I'll try and take a look later. Having managed to get one article to GA status in the space of five years, I think your confidence in my abilities in this regard may be entirely misplaced! Martinevans123 (talk) 14:16, 13 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Start at the end of the page. EEng (talk) 15:11, 13 January 2015 (UTC) I suppose this is what the article should read like to qualify for GA.[reply]
That looks decidedly fishy to me. As you know, I am far more comfortable with anal dilators, Korean nut-sacks and grilled burger executives. I'll trade you one ITN RD support vote for two GA review points. Martinevans123 (talk) 16:08, 13 January 2015 (UTC) ... or else ask this guy - he churns them out like he's shelling peas.[reply]
All I want is a straight GA review, according to the GA requirements. EEng (talk) 18:06, 13 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@The Rambling Man: could do it, as could @Wizardman: or @Yoninah:. If anyone of those three comes back with a summary that could be paraphrased as "the article's fine, EEng is right, Ritchie is an arse" I will eat humble pie and put the review back on. I can't really say fairer than that. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 18:47, 13 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
They might very well say there are still GA violations, but if they do I hope they'll say which piece of text violates what sections of GACR. I like you a lot, Ritchie, but for some reason there's a disconnect here. EEng (talk) 02:37, 14 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You can have Stephen or Spencer take a look. Also, I did start a discussion on the talk page about RD being stale. Any admin who posted there is at least watching the page. King Edward scales the hills of Wales
Upon his stallion.
"Hear my decree! I want to see
My new dominion.
"Show me the yield of every field,
The grain, the grass, the wood!
Is all the land now moist and rich
With red rebellious blood?
"And are the Welsh, God's gift, the Welsh,
A peaceful, happy folk?
I want them pleased, just like the beast
They harness in the yoke."
"Sire, this jewel in your crown,
Your Wales, is fair and good:
Rich is the yield of every field
The grassland and the wood.
How amazing. Thanks so much for posting this! Martinevans123 (talk) 18:55, 22 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Deep silence falls upon the halls,
And lo, before their eyes
They see an old man, white as snow,
An ancient bard to rise:
"I shall recite your glorious deeds
Just as you bid me, Sire."
And death rattles in grim battles
As he touches the lyre.
"Grim death rattles, the brave battles,
And blood bestains the sun,
Your deeds reek high, up to the sky:
You are the guilty one!
"Our dead are plenty as the corn

When harvest is begun, And as we reap and glean, we weep: You did this, guilty one!"

"Off to the stake!" the king commands,
"This was churlishly hard.
Sing us, you there, a softer air,
You, young and courtly bard!"

"... many people responded with confusion or repulsion." - doesn't sound that tasty, does it. Martinevans123 (talk) 08:38, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
This has completely run off the rails -- see also here. He just won't say what the problems are. If I renominate, will do a review, please? The review will go much more smoothly if it sticks to the criteria. Or, maybe better, can we talk first about what you think he's talking about? If there's actually I problem I want to fix it, but all I get is these vague statements, which I try to address, and then more vague statements. EEng (talk) 15:24, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
"The problems with quotations and images are still there" - I think maybe that sums up Ritchies's view? And he's got pressing real-life commitments it seems. We ought to heartily thank him for helping to get the article nearer to GA status. There are no time limits on these things, are there? Martinevans123 (talk) 19:31, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Bury your head in the sand. Don't look. The best way to appreciate a WP:GA
No, there's no time limit, so if he doesn't have time now we can just suspend until he's ready again. Or we can find another reviewer to take over. But instead he's just failed the article after all this work. Keep in mind the reason the review was so big and went on so long is that so many (most even) of the points he raised weren't related to the WP:GACR. But here we are.
So "the problems with quotations and images are still there." Great. But what, specifically, are those problems??? Seriously, please help me understand. Start at [41] and tell me -- is there any issue he raised that I didn't respond to? And of my responses, is there any he objected to or pushed back on? Can you tell what problems, specifically, he's talking about? Or, put another way, Can you tell me what changes Ritchie is saying are needed to meet GA? If you can't answer that, then you'll understand my frustration -- I can't answer that either. EEng (talk) 21:34, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
An image without a caption??! That's like a tequila without the salt!! Martinevans123 (talk) 22:13, 23 January 2015 (UTC) or the lemon[reply]
Can you please be serious for a bit? Not every image has to have a caption. WP:CAP When you have a paragraph describing a grand building with monumental steps topped by giant columns, and right next to it is an image of a grand building with monumental steps topped by giant columns, it seems unnecessary to have a caption. What would it say? "Widener Library"? That's helpful.
Then we have a paragraph describing that there are stacks at east, south, and west, and a giant reading room at north. Next to it is a floorplan showing stacks at east, south, and west, and a giant reading room at north. What caption would be needed? "Floor plan showing stacks at east, south, and west, and reading room at north"? What would be the point of that?
So seriously, can you point to any problems? EEng (talk) 22:39, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Are you going to help or not? More to the point, can you tell me what about the images or quotes doesn't meet GACR? `EEng (talk) 23:06, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I refuse to help, naturally. I'd be tempted to give the images captions, even if redundant. But what's Ritchie's beef with the quotes, exactly? You seem to be mightily at risk of getting your precious article to GA status... but at what cost? Martinevans123 (talk) 23:15, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Well, what do you expect me to do? I gamely took on almost all suggestions, explained why others weren't appropriate, and got no substantive response except, suddenly, "time's up". So, yeah ... what's his beef with the quotes? Can you tell? Anyway, it doesn't matter. Will you review if I renominate, so we can be done with this? EEng (talk) 23:21, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
You need someone who's actually done a GA review, or at least been through a few, and someone who, quite frankly, doesn't know your deep failings. Martinevans123 (talk) 23:27, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
... and much worse, of course, is the fact that the article is littered with shy colons. Martinevans123 (talk) 23:35, 23 January 2015 (UTC) [reply]

The only qualification for a reviewer is that you've not contributed significantly to the article and are not the nominator. The instructions are here. The criteria (WP:GACR) are simple. Please take a look. EEng (talk) 23:46, 23 January 2015 (UTC) Just to please you I've added the two captions, stupid as they are.[reply]

I'll try and look tomorrow... Martinevans123 (talk) 23:49, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The things that one grows tired of—O, be sure
They are only foolish artificial things!
Can a bird ever tire of having wings?
And I, so long as life and sense endure,
(Or brief be they!) shall nevermore inure
My heart to the recurrence of the springs,
Of gray dawns, the gracious evenings,
The infinite wheeling stars. A wonder pure
Must ever well within me to behold
Venus decline; or great Orion, whose belt
Is studded with three nails of burning gold,
Ascend the winter heaven. Who never felt
This wondering joy may yet be good or great:
But envy him not: he is not fortunate.

The Great Gambon

Hi M. I know edit summaries are so short that they can lead to misunderstanding so I just wanted to show you the paragraph from the source about the fact that MG is only retiring from stage work.

But Sir Michael said he has no plans to put his film and screen career on hold, he announced, amid glowing reviews for his work on hit polar drama Fortitude.

BTW I am watching Fortitude. It is a bit like Broadchurch in the frozen north. In fact if you ever watch it you might want to put on a sweater cause you can feel the chill right through your TV screen. Brrrr. Apologies for any offense in mt edit summary and cheers. Demis Roussos

Thanks for your comment. I dedicate to you this song in Spanish "Morir al lado de mi amor" RIP Demis Roussos. werldwayd (talk) 19:02, 11 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

What a vaguely threatening title! But thanks, that's very thoughtful of you. Well done with the DM singles. Martinevans123 (talk) 19:07, 11 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
This is my personal most favourite song of his. It is a famous song he sang called "Because" in English. But he released the same with different lyrics "Mourir auprès de mon amour" in French and "Morir al lado de mi amor" in Spanish. Both French and Spanish roughly mean "to die near my love". Actually he was singing his own death. My love can be interpreted as an actual love or love for all those in the world who loved him. I have now also completed further chart positions for albums. I mean I may have missed some, but whatever I could find in Dutch, German, Spanish, French chart listingsetc. It is so difficult to come up with a definitive listing as he had so many releases sometimes intertwining with each other, plus using different titles in different countries. werldwayd (talk) 21:01, 11 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sure you've done an excellent job. Well done. Martinevans123 (talk) 21:03, 11 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

GA Wid Lib

I've renominated Widener Library for GA. Since you've shown some recent interest in it, perhaps you'll take this on. Please, though, avoid the fate of so many GA reviews by clearly separating concerns related to the GA criteria from "extracurricular" concerns that can be addressed after the review is over. EEng (talk) 19:50, 14 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I was hoping to escape such an onerous and perilous task! I will try and have a look in the next day or so. Let's hope I can make it shorter than this one. Martinevans123 (talk) 19:59, 14 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I join you in that hope. EEng (talk) 20:14, 14 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I can't help noticing that just about all the points raised at Talk:Widener Library/GA1 were satisfactorily addressed. I have read the whole of that review in detail and I regard it as having done about 90% of my work, of anyone's work, in a review. Martinevans123 (talk) 20:22, 14 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon

Whether you like it or not, this is the name of the article. i didn't name it with the manufacturer name. You deleted my edit and put back a redirect, which is wrong, because whenever possible, redirects should be avoided. If you dont like that manufacturer name appears, you could have done F-16 Fighting Falcon.--Arado (talk) 19:24, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, you could have done that too. It's not always necessary to give the full name of the article. If you think it adds to the clarity of the article it appears in, by all means use it. I don't think it does in this case. My likes or non-likes are irrelevant. Martinevans123 (talk) 19:25, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Candide Thovex Youtube videos

Hi, I am new to Wikipedia. Dave Mailman (talk) 16:01, 21 February 2015 (UTC) Dave Mailman[reply]
