  • I'm not sure that you were aware that when you edited the Chris Benoit article, the public and police were not aware of the content of the facts that you edited. Did you know, or was it just a grammatical fix? Bearian 03:14, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
My edit to the page was not pertaining to the Chris Benoit double murder/suicide. I unfortunately can't give you the exact quote, as the entire segment has since been rewritten, but I can tell you that I corrected the grammar on a run-on sentence. The sentence was dealing with the fact that Chris Benoit was replaced by Johnny Nitro at the Vengeance match against CM Punk, because Benoit was absent for "personal reasons." "Personal reasons" was the exact reasoning posted on the article at the time of my edit - the "stemming from the death of his wife Nancy" part was not there yet. The bigger concern is that is is simply not notable that he closed a Youtube account. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and closing a Youtube account just doesn't warrant inclusion. In addition, the Wikipedia community has concluded that Youtube is not considered a reliable source. As for sourcing, yes, all pay per view results must be properly sourced. Without verification, listing results of shows constitutes original research. Glad to meet you, GaryColemanFan (talk) 21:51, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I couldn't agree more. Removing the information about his Youtube account seems much more productive than adding more non-notable information. GaryColemanFan (talk) 00:03, 21 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Professional wrestling newsletter message

[edit]

It has recently been brought to the attention of WP:PW that the newsletter is being to delivered to several users who have not been actively editing for several months. As a result, their talk pages have become increasingly large, unmanageable and slow to load due to a lack of archiving.
In response, this message is being sent to all editors listed in Category:WikiProject Professional wrestling participants to say that anyone who does not list their name at Wikipedia:WikiProject Professional wrestling/Newsletter/Active before May 16 will be automatically listed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Professional wrestling/Newsletter/Nospam, and will no longer receive the newsletter or any notification of it. If you are added to Wikipedia:WikiProject Professional wrestling/Newsletter/Nospam, please feel free to remove your name if you desire.
If you wish to continue receiving the newsletter as normal, please add your name to Wikipedia:WikiProject Professional wrestling/Newsletter/Active. If you simply wish to receive notification of a new issue, but not have the full newsletter delivered to your talk page, please add your name to the notification only list.
If you have any queries please contact me at my talk page or leave a message at WT:PW. Thank you for your co-operation. ♥NiciVampireHeart00:36, 2 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
