Disambiguation link notification for December 24

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Results of the 2008 Malaysian general election by parliamentary constituency, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ibrahim Ali. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Members of the Dewan Rakyat, 13th Malaysian Parliament

Regarding your edits to the Members of the Dewan Rakyat, 13th Malaysian Parliament, it would be better to have the parliamentarians grouped into their respective states, and the senators and speakers listed in a different section.12:20, 4 January 2015 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.168.46.79 (talk)

Also your additions of the senators to the Dewan Rakyat are wrong, they should be in the Dewan Negara. Maybe an info box with the speaker. 58.168.96.118 (talk) 17:43, 4 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Sabah People's Front

Hello Alexander Iskandar,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Sabah People's Front for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Danielj2705 (talk) 14:16, 20 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with Federated Sabah People's Front. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Danielj2705 (talk) 14:41, 20 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Federated Sabah People's Front

The article Federated Sabah People's Front has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Debatable significance. Author also removed previous speedy deletion tag.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. File source problem with File:Barisan Rakyat Sabah Bersekutu logo.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:Barisan Rakyat Sabah Bersekutu logo.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Non-free rationale for File:Barisan Rakyat Sabah Bersekutu logo.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Barisan Rakyat Sabah Bersekutu logo.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 17:27, 11 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Kongres India Muslim Malaysia.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Kongres India Muslim Malaysia.jpg.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. Orphaned non-free image File:Parti bersatu sabah flag.gif

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Parti bersatu sabah flag.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. License tagging for File:Raja Zarith Sofia.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Raja Zarith Sofia.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 12:05, 23 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Raja Zarith Sofia.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Raja Zarith Sofia.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. B (talk) 02:03, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of List of Malaysian Leaders of the Opposition, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Opposition (Malaysia). It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. CorenSearchBot (talk) 17:31, 18 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Reverts

Hello. Just wanted to apologies for reverting you on those two articles – not your fault – unfortunately Lazybugger has made a complete mess of an attempted move, and instead has simply made a WP:Cut and paste move, which is not allowed. Cheers, Number 57 20:14, 23 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I think you have misunderstood my intention - I did mean to revert you; cut and paste moves are not allowed, and you should not be making them. If you want to move the articles, please use the WP:RM process. Thanks, Number 57 20:35, 23 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Aside from the move issue, I just wanted to say thanks for creating all the State Assembly representative articles – they have helped me create all the state election ones (which you can see in here). However, many of them are incomplete (the first few only have Perlis state) – will you be completing them all? Also, do you know where actual vote figures can be found for state elections rather than just seats? Unfortunately the electoral commission site appears to be in Malay only and I cannot navigate it :( Number 57 22:04, 23 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Great, thank you, I will look at that tomorrow. I assume this is the page I want (it also appears to be Malay-only!). Cheers, Number 57 22:18, 23 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
OK, will try that. Annoyingly the translate function usually appears in my browser with Chrome when I am on foreign language, but it doesn't seem to happen with the Malay sites. Number 57 22:26, 23 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. Hi Alexander Iskandar.
As you seem involved in political pages in this area, I was wondering if you could comment on, or confirm, the notability of this new political party? I have re-added the {{Notability}} tag to the page after the page creator removed it for a second time. Likely the best place would be that pages talk-page. If so, it would help if you sent me a notification about it. Regards, 220 of Borg 09:19, 26 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Problems with upload of File:Ghafar baba.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Ghafar baba.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or what the copyright status is. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

License tagging for File:Musa-hitam.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Musa-hitam.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 06:06, 30 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Musa-hitam.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. List of Malaysian State Assembly Representatives (2013–)

In your recent edits to List of Malaysian State Assembly Representatives (2013–), the official name of the party Gerakan Harapan Baru has not been made official. They are looking for alternative names. I will leave the edits for the PAS members until there is official confirmation for the party name. And please do not put 2 different parties to a politician name in the tables, as we need to keep it current or else it would be confusing to new readers.Lazybugger13 (talk) 13:54, 31 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

List of detainees at the Kamunting Detention Centre

The list was moved to a talkpage subpage because it was not appropriate as part of an article. It is even less appropriate as a standalone article. Shortly after you moved the list into mainspace it was prodded for deletion, and the notice came to me. I have restored the list to the talkpage subpage - see the history. Moves of Malaysian ethnic group articles

I requested the reversion of your undiscussed moves through Wikipedia:Requested moves#Requests to revert undiscussed moves. You should get consensus before making controversial moves by following the directions at WP:RM#CM. Article titles should represent the "the name that is most frequently used to refer to the subject in English-language reliable sources", but names such as "Japanese Malaysians", "Burmese Malaysians", etc. are far less common in reliable sources than "Japanese in Malaysia", "Burmese in Malaysia", etc. Furthermore, most of the articles moved are about expatriates and guest workers from those countries, and not about Malaysian citizens. Thanks, 210.6.254.106 (talk) 10:44, 10 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The census says nothing about whether Malaysians overseas are Malaysians or not, and neither did I. This discussion regards articles about foreign expatriates in Malaysia. You have not shown that "Japanese Malaysians" is "the name that is most frequently used ... in English-language reliable sources" to discuss Japanese expatriates in Malaysia. Same for every one of the articles which you unilaterally moved without consensus. 210.6.254.106 (talk) 02:30, 12 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Categories

If you make categories, please use the existing category structure. Please do not mass produce categories on subjects that do not have articles written yet. Be selective and thoughtful about category creation. Right now, I'm tagging a lot of categories you just created because they are empty and are not being utilized. This creates extra work for those who tag them and later for those who delete the pages. If there isn't a clear use for a category, and it makes sense in the existing Wikipedia category structure, do not create the category. Liz Read! Talk! 23:21, 16 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

October 2015

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.
Rather than reverting, and leaving comments in edit summaries, please show signs you are prepared to seek third party review of the edits at the template JarrahTree 13:53, 27 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I do not see what looks like a constructive discussion to resolve the issue apart from continued reverts, some other watchers may well feel that the location for the discussion will be at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Edit_warring - so it would well be worth explaining yourself (with proper signature usage) at a talk page relevant to the template issues. Failure to do so could lead to an admin deciding to block you. Take care. JarrahTree 14:27, 27 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Someone else can deal with you both in your template arguments, If it is how you want to resolve the issue, then make sure you try to build consensus rather than reverting each other regularly, as the process by which you are resolving looks to an outsider like an edit war. JarrahTree 23:27, 27 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It is good that you aim to encompass all Malaysians but don't you think that the template is not really appropriate for Malaysia. After all, the ethnic groups listed in the Canadian template lead to pages such as Basque Canadian and French Canadian. Rohingya does not lead to a page called Rohingya Malaysian or Rohingyas in Malaysia. Also Baba Nonya and Jawi Peranakan aren't exactly East Asian and South Asian in origin respectively. The Baba Nonyas and Jawi Peranakan also have mixed Malay origins too. I prefer the previous template that was originally there before the major revamps that occurred at the start of this month and then last week. I know you are trying to make all Malaysians feel like they belong and I commend you on that but personally I believe the original version was better, what do you think? Template changing

I think you need to stop adding "Malaylam Malyasian" and "Americans in Malaysia" when there are no pages that are even called that. The template should not have been changed in the first place and you need to respond to people who tell you things on your talk page before going ahead and editing a template that is disputed. That's why there's something called a talk page. (124.180.139.33 (talk) 09:18, 1 November 2015 (UTC))[reply]

Hello, Alexander Iskandar,
I can see you are trying to help but please do not remove parent categories or any information from categories that are tagged for deletion. Often, the admins who consider the deletion want to see where the category is placed in a categorical hierarchy and choose to keep them even though at the moment they might be empty. Thank you. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Wikipedia and copyright

Control copyright icon Hello Alexander Iskandar, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to Ministry of Home Affairs (Malaysia) has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and a cited source. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 15:57, 15 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Standing Orders of the Dewan Rakyat, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.readbag.com/parlimen-my-news-pm-dr-bi.

It is possible that the bot was mistaken and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

MPs elected in 1969

Hello Alexander. I have just noticed a contradiction between Malaysian general election, 1969 and Members of the Dewan Rakyat, 3rd Malaysian Parliament. According to the election article, the Sarawak Chinese Association won one seat, but in the members list, they have two seats. In contrast, the election article has 6 seats for Bumiputera but the list has only five. Are you able to state which is correct? Cheers, Number 57 21:50, 8 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

"Dato" redirects

It would be best to mass-nominate these for RFD, as these are not empty pages (they are redirects), and deliberately blanking them to tag them is not what the deletion process should be used for. Kevin Rutherford (talk) 04:20, 18 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I should also note that I would be willing to help you with this, but CSD is the wrong way to go for that, especially when some of the redirects are almost a decade old. Kevin Rutherford (talk) 04:22, 18 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding notification tags to all of our pages for discussions that we are only vaguely involved in. One is enough, but two or more that lead to the wrong page are hard to follow. Also, please make sure that you leave the right date, as all of the links you left today lead to the wrong day. Kevin Rutherford (talk) 02:26, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I just noticed about wrong date. How to fix this problem? Alexander Iskandar (talk) 02:28, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I went ahead and fixed the earlier ones, but I think it would be easier to copy and paste an existing notice, but modify the text so that it leads to the right discussion. Kevin Rutherford (talk) 03:46, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Election Results Sarawak 2016

Hi Alexander Iskandar, I have seen that you have created a new template - . That is fine if you wish to create individual templates for each state constituency. That is a lot of work in my opinion. But for the election results we should keep the election results table as it is following what was used Sarawak_state_election,_2011 and update it from there when the election results come it. In the meantime I have hidden both election results tables until the results come in.Lazybugger13 (talk) 03:00, 2 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

We should change the way we update the election result. We should update election result by constituency one by one in each state constituency article. The readers able to compare the recent election result with past election result in respective constituency.. For example, if readers (especially Opar voters) curious to know the recent result of his constituency, he/she may go to this article --> Opar (state constituency), they can compare with previous election result of Opar. I find it more effective and straight forward. What is your opinion about this? Alexander Iskandar (talk) 03:14, 2 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, you can check each constituency article for comparison if you like but creating a different election article for each state constituency is a lot of work. If we have all the election results information in one table for the entire state, that is also fine. You can go ahead and create those state constituency results tables, but leave the election results tables alone and don't delete it. Thank you.Lazybugger13 (talk) 03:30, 2 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Lazybugger13: Win-win situation.. I let you update the election result in one table in the Sarawak state election, 2016. I just found from your talk page that you contribute a lot about Malaysian election-related pages and templates. @Lazybugger13: Do you think it is a good idea to create WikiProject about Malaysian elections, Malaysian politics, Malaysian governments, Malaysian legislatures, Malaysian legislations?? Alexander Iskandar (talk) 03:43, 2 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Alexander Iskandar, it is a good idea if you would like to create a WikiProject just for Malaysian elections. Its always best to head to the WikiProject Malaysia and get feedback and see if there are any editors who will volunteer and help with the project.Lazybugger13 (talk) 06:00, 2 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know why WikiProject Malaysia seems not really active as expected. Maybe, Wikipedia visitors from Malaysia don't really bother to contribute something in this Wikipedia and only be a silent reader and use Wikipedia as their one-stop centre to look for academic references. Separate articles for parties contesting the Sarawak 2016 election

Hi Alexander Iskandar, you have created several separate articles for parties contesting the Sarawak state elections, I feel these articles are unnecessary as we already have the election tables give out the right amount of information - Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak Baru candidates, 2016 Sarawak state election,State Reform Party candidates, 2016 Sarawak state election. Rather than that we should just use the election results tables as it show who is contesting which seat and from which party. Anyway if you look at those articles some parties are just contesting less than 10 seats, that is insignificant or just overkill in my opinion.Lazybugger13 (talk) 03:26, 2 May 2016 (UTC)in[reply]

@Lazybugger13: What is your opinion about this article --> Progressive Conservative Association of Alberta candidates, 2012 Alberta provincial election and all party's election candidates pages in this category --> Category:Alberta general election, 2012. Alexander Iskandar (talk) 03:31, 2 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Alexander Iskandar, again the article which you used Progressive Conservative Association of Alberta candidates, 2012 Alberta provincial election has that party contesting in closed to 50 seats, whereas in Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak Baru and State Reform Party you have them contesting just 5 and 11 seats respectively out of 82 seats. Maybe you should merge them, with say Amanah or PAS. Either make an entire new article to combine Amanah, PAS, Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak Baru and STAR together.Lazybugger13 (talk) 06:06, 2 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest that we should let it be until the 11th Sarawak state election ended.. Then, after that we can merge all those party's election candidates pages into Candidates of the 2016 Sarawak state election. Alexander Iskandar (talk) 06:12, 2 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Bayan Baru (disambiguation)

The article Bayan Baru (disambiguation) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unnecessary as this seems to be a case of WP:TWODABS, where a hatnote at the Bayan Baru page serves as disambiguation.

InsertCleverPhraseHere 04:07, 12 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Turning it into a redirect seems like a reasonable solution. InsertCleverPhraseHere 05:09, 12 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Insertcleverphrasehere:.. Thanks for letting me know about WP:TWODABS policy. Hopefully, bots and other users will differentiate between Malaysian administrative district and Malaysian constituency when they want to insert internal link. I will left to bots or other users to correct the internal links issue, e.g. Gombak District and Gombak (federal constituency) will be linked properly in the related articles. Alexander Iskandar (talk) 05:16, 12 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't create redirects with "(disambiguation)" in the title that do not target disambiguation pages. Such redirects should only be created for intentional links to disambiguation pages. olderwiser 10:23, 12 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation for parliamentary elections and federal constituencies

Hi Alexander Iskandar, I see you have created numerous articles for federal constituencies - Sungai Besar (federal constituency), Kuala Kangsar (federal constituency) and have added templates to numerous election articles - Permatang Pauh by-election, 2015, Rompin by-election, 2015; suggesting for a merger. The by-elections articles should stay as they are they are political articles and should not be merged and the templates should be removed. While I commend you for creating the various federal constituency articles, you should slowly include links to towns in the constituencies, demographics, transportation, economy, culture and geography. Plus you need to included direct references for these articles for the various subjects. You might need help in getting WP:MALAYSIA guys to help out. In the meantime I have created two new election articles for the 2 upcoming by-elections- Kuala Kangsar by-election, 2016 and Sungai Besar by-election, 2016.Lazybugger13 (talk) 03:20, 28 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. Telemedicine Act

The infobox says both:not yet in force and Given Royal assent. These two seem contradictory. Additionally, the informatio ngiven is a mere firectory entry; it needs some morei nformation, and especially on whether it has been amended or whatever since 197. This is almost 20 years later. Malaysian general election, 2013 -- Popular Vote Results at State Level

Hi, I noticed you've done a lot of work related to Malaysian elections. In particular, you added popular vote totals for each party in the states of Perlis, Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu, and Penang to the page Malaysian general election, 2013. If you don't mind, could you share with me the source you got these results from? I have an academic interest in popular vote results at the state level, so I would really appreciate it if you could give me a source so that I can find these results for the rest of the states. Thank you so much! SaltySeas (talk) 03:40, 25 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Death date discrepancy at Mubin Sheppard

Hi. I'm just looking into a discrepancy in death date between here and Wikidata at Mubin Sheppard. It look like you changed this from 11 September to 12 September. I can't access the ref to support that (the page you linked to doesn't load), and others say 11 September, so I'll change it back for now - but if it was the 12th September then please feel free to revert it back, but please also change it on Wikidata.
