Discovery+ (stylized as discovery+) is a streaming service owned and operated by Discovery, Inc., which features a catalog of programming from Discovery's linear and digital networks. It was first launched on March 23, 2020 in India, and is currently available in the United States and Europe.[1]

History

Discovery, Inc. originally launched Discovery+ in India on March 23, 2020, and included content from various Discovery network channels.[2] In September 2020, they announced plans to launch an international version of Discovery+ in early 2021.[3]

On January 4, 2021, Discovery+ launched in the U.S. with both a paid ad-supported plan and an ad-free plan.[4][5]

Device support and service features

Discovery+ is available for streaming via web browsers on PC and Mac, as well as apps on Apple iOS devices and Apple TV, Android mobile devices and Android TV, [[Amazon {company)|Amazon]] devices such as Fire TV and Fire HD, Chromecast, Roku devices, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X and Series S.[6]
