In the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game, the osquip is a type of magical beast.

Publication history[edit]

The osquip first appeared in the original first edition Fiend Folio (1981).[1]

The osquip appeared in second edition in the Monstrous Compendium Volume Two (1989),[2] and appeared under both the "mammal" and "rat" headings in the Monstrous Manual (1993).[3] The osquip was further developed in Dragon #227 (March 1996) in "The Ecology of the Osquip".

The osquip appeared in third edition in Dragon #282 (April 2001). The osquip also appeared for the Forgotten Realms setting in Races of Faerûn (2003).[4]

An osquip resembles a hairless, many-legged rodent the size of a dog.
