Administrator instructions

To report an error on today's or tomorrow's Main Page, please add it to the appropriate section below.

  • Where is the error? An exact quote of all or part of the text in question will help.
  • Offer a correction if possible.
  • References are helpful, especially when reporting an obscure factual or grammatical error.
  • Time zones: The current date and time is displayed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC, currently 00:10 on 22 August 2019), not adjusted to your local time zone.
  • Do not use {{edit fully-protected}}, which will not give you a faster response, and in fact causes problems if used here. (See the bottom of this revision for an example.)
  • Done? Once an error has been fixed, or has rotated off the Main Page, or has been acknowledged as not an error, the error report will be removed from this page; please check the page's history for discussion and action taken.
  • No chit-chat: Lengthy discussions should be moved to a suitable location elsewhere.
  • Can you fix the issue yourself? If the error is with the content of an article linked from the main page, consider attempting to fix the problem rather than reporting it here.

Today's FA[edit]

Surprised no one has said this, so I'll just point out that Clinton frequently hires ghostwriters. If there are some books where she didn't do this, that should be made clear in the article. Connor Behan (talk) 16:51, 21 August 2019 (UTC)

I assume you're suggesting we remove the word "writer", not that we mention ghostwriters in the blurb. "Writer" has been in the lead for over 9 months with no objection; if you want to remove it from the article lead, start a discussion on the article talk page. On the TFA blurb, we generally defer to the article, so it isn't going to be changed on the main page today. --Floquenbeam (talk) 18:12, 21 August 2019 (UTC)

Today's POTD[edit]

You should really call this a "multiple exposure" or composite photograph. It is two images, printed together. That is what the "exposure bracket" you mention is.

"The composite image is a multiple exposure, bracketed to show both the..."

This seems like a useful clarification. I've gone with "The image is a composite of multiple exposures, bracketed to show both...". --Floquenbeam (talk) 17:55, 21 August 2019 (UTC)
