iOS 17 |
iPadOS 17 is the fifth major release of the iPadOS operating system developed by Apple for its iPad line of tablet computers. The successor to iPadOS 16, it was announced at the company's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) on June 5, 2023 and is scheduled to be released in September 2023 along with iOS 17.
iPadOS 17 drops support for the first generation iPad Pro, and the fifth generation iPad, making it the first iPadOS version to be exclusive to iPads with Apple Pencil support, as well as the first version of iPadOS to drop support for an iPad Pro.
Currently, the operating system is in beta, and it is open to people who are enrolled in the Apple Developer Program. The first public beta was released on July 12, 2023, with the final version coming in September 2023.

Mail App
- When you receive a verification code by email, the Mail app will automatically type the code to a box where it says to put the sent code in.
Compatibility (supported devices)
iPadOS 17 requires an A10 chip or newer, which means it drops support for iPad models with A9 and A9X chips, such as the iPad Pro (1st generation) and the iPad (5th generation).[3] This also marks the third time Apple has dropped 64-bit devices. Devices with an A10 or A10X SoC (the 2nd gen iPad Pro, the 6th gen iPad and the 7th gen iPad) have limited support. Devices with an A12, A12X, A12Z, or A13 chip get additional features that are unavaliable on older models; devices with an A14 or A15 chip have almost full support, while devices with the M1 chip and newer get full support.
