The Bharatiya Sakshya Bill, 2023 is a bill of the Parliament of India. It was introduced in the Lok Sabha on 11 August 2023 to repeal and replace Indian Penal Code (IPC), the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) and the Indian Evidence Act.[1][2][3][4]
Amit Shah, Minister for Home Affairs said that the bill will be sent to a parliamentary panel for further scrutiny.
Introduction
On 11 August 2023, the Home Minister of India, Amit Shah, Introduced the Bharatiya Sakshya Bill, 2023 in Lok Sabha his bill is considered to be a significant and monumental reform in the Indian Criminal Justice System.[5][6][7]
