Kavita Surender Kumar Jain (born 2 September 1972) is a Politician, Present MLA for Sonipat and Cabinet Minister in the Government of Haryana state, India

Personal life

Jain is married to Rajiv Jain, a former Press Advisor to the Chief Minister of Haryana and currently state vice president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Haryana. They have a daughter and a son.

Jain completed M.Com and B.Ed from Rohtak and she enjoys badminton.

Political Life

In 2009 and again in 2014, as a candidate of the BJP from Sonepat, she was elected as member of the Haryana Legislative Assembly, India. On 26 October 2014, she was sworn in as Cabinet Minister in the Government of Haryana.[1]

As a minister, she has charge of the following departments.

  • Department of Social Justice & Empower, Haryana
  • Department of Women & Child Development, Haryana
  • Department of local bodies, Haryana
