HomePod mini is a smart speaker designed and developed by Apple Inc. It was designed to be a smaller and less expensive version of Apple’s now-discontinued HomePod.

Apple announced HomePod mini on October 13, 2020.[1] Pre-orders began on November 6, 2020, and the product was subsequently released on November 16, 2020.[2]

On October 18, 2021, Apple introduced three new "bold and expressive" colors for HomePod mini: yellow, orange, and blue.[3] The new colors were released on November 1, 2021, complimenting the existing white and space gray finishes.[4]

Overview[edit]

HomePod mini has a spherical shape roughly 4 inches (10 cm) in diameter. The top of the device features an LED-backlit touch panel which can be used to control audio playback, adjust volume, and invoke Siri.
