Sichuan FAW Toyota Motor Company (四川一汽丰田汽车有限公司) is an automobile manufacturing company based in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province China founded on 16 April 1997. It is a joint venture between Toyota Motor Company and First Automobile Works and produces the first Toyota Prius hybrid car manufactured outside Japan.[1] There are currently 2 other branches under the FAW and Toyota joint venture which are Changchun City, Jilin Province and another in Tianjin where it is shared with the Xiali brand.
