San Jose Sico (officially Barangay San Jose Sico) is one of the 105 barangays comprising Batangas City, Philippines. As a physical rural community, the inhabitants itself enjoy some pleasures a rural folk has including freshness of air, rich cultivated fields and forest's dominance. Electrical supply on the other hand are both guaranteed by Batangas Electric Cooperative II (BATELEC II) being the main supplier and least by Meralco while access for potable water is guaranteed by some individual artesian wells and pumping stations.[1][2]

Brgy. San Jose Sico is also the home of a Filipino actor, Ahron Villena.

[edit] Strategic location and topography

Brgy. Bilogo is situated about 9 kilometres (5.6 mi) east of Poblacion, Batangas City. The local vicinity is bounded by Ibaan Municipality to the north; Brgy. Bilogo to the west; Brgy. Mapulo, Taysan, Batangas to the east, and Brgy. Talumpok East to the south. Public transportations access to Brgy. San Jose Sico is provided by jeepneys enroute from Poblacion, Batangas City to Brgy. Dagatan, Taysan and Poblacion, Lobo, Batangas.[3]

The topography is entirely a rural area that provides a close terrain of plains and rolling hills dominated mostly by forests. Large numbers of tropical trees like fruit-bearings as well as crops are substantially presence everywhere. Numerous streams counting less than 20 are also present throughout the local community although some were extremely polluted due to improper disposal of agricultural wastes coming from pigpens. However, two much larger streams or definitely a little rivers are sited northeast and south of the locale that serves as a frontier for Brgy. San Jose Sico itself. Several terms like "Katmon" and "Talumpok" are used to name the two little rivers. Residential areas are mostly located along the national and minor roads.
