Excess LGBT articles
Kingsif, I'm completely open to changing the pages I created, specifically LGBTQ representation in adult animation, Cartoon Network and LGBTQ representation, LGBTQ representation in animated web series, and Netflix and LGBTQ representation in animation, but I will not accept them being deleted or having content removed without having the content removed should have a consensus and discussion on the talk pages of each of these four pages. I had the content in each of those articles in longer history pages, like History of LGBTQ characters in animation: 2010s, History of LGBTQ characters in animated series: 1990s, History of LGBTQ characters in animated series: 2000s, History of LGBTQ characters in animation: 2020s, and History of LGBTQ characters in animated series for much of 2020, but those pages were getting too long, per WP:SIZESPLIT, and the information did not seem as organized as I would have liked. So, I decided to be bold and divide it off into its own pages. There was no opposition to the creation of those history pages in the past, as you can see, if you wan to go through the history of each of those history pages. There's more to the creation and maintenance of those pages, but I can say it has been mostly a solitary venture of mine, although it wasn't my choice to do so. I would like others to join me in editing the pages, but I have not been successful in getting others to help at this point. --Historyday01 (talk) 15:50, 1 January 2021 (UTC)
- @Historyday01: You clearly want to help the encyclopedia but you have a shit attitude and don't seem to understand the issues being pointed out, instead insisting there's nothing wrong and you're being attacked. People have legitimate concerns. I'm not even going to try to discuss any issues until you can assure that you're opening your mind to criticism, and I certainly need you to sort out whatever tells you that you have the authority to demand that
I will not accept them being deleted or having content removed
. Fun fact: nobody on WP, not even an admin, has the authority to say that NOBODY CAN DELETE OR EDIT MY ARTICLE I SWEAR. Also note that standard Wikipedia practice is to use "LGBT", not "LGBTQ". I have no opinion on this and was not part of any decision to pick the former over the latter, I'm just informing you that this is the standard and at the very least these articles need moving to such titles. Kingsif (talk) 16:49, 1 January 2021 (UTC)As I said before, and I would be willing to discuss "having the content removed should have a consensus and discussion on the talk pages of each of these four pages" and as such, I struck the "I will not accept them" section. Again, I agree that I do not own the pages. Anyway, if the titles to the pages should be changed, then that should be discussed on the talk pages of each of those pages. If someone wants to bring that up, then I'm all ears for that. However, it seems unlikely that you will be part of that, since you said "I have no opinion on this and was not part of any decision to pick the former over the latter." So, yes, I am aware of that "standard Wikipedia practice" and I was planning on a RFC on all pages with LGBT in the name to decide if to use LGBT, LGBTQ, or something else, but I've been caught up with other editing
For a person who says I'm not being civil and invokes WP:CIVIL, you are more of a violator of that than me! So, you called me a "dick," "demeaning," and "spiteful." Yeah, I admit that I should have worded my words differently and I apologize for what I said, as I was caught up in the heat of the moment, but I did not include any personal attacks of you on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject LGBT studies as I did not call you any names on there, while you did, so I removed your comment and my previous comment. If you want to cite Wikipedia rules, you are violating WP:NPA and WP:IUC for what you said on that forum. As such, I guess I can't expect any positive contributions on any of the pages I created yesterday.Historyday01 (talk) 16:54, 1 January 2021 (UTC)- @Historyday01: can we keep this shit to one thread? You don't have to keep bugging me if you don't like me. You don't seem to know that "don't be a dick" and "being a dick" (Wikipedia:DONTBEADICK) is the casual way editors on Wikipedia refer to a CIVIL-like policy that applies across all Wikimedia, so it's more authoritative than just CIVIL. And it flows better. "Demeaning" and "spiteful" aren't personal attacks, they're accurate descriptors of your rude behavior towards me - am I supposed to say you're being a dick without giving an example? Make it make sense. Kingsif (talk) 16:58, 1 January 2021 (UTC)
- I'm fine keeping it on one thread, sure. But, if you don't want to bug me, then we should just leave it at that, and end the discussion here once and for all. Historyday01 (talk) 17:01, 1 January 2021 (UTC)
- @Historyday01: I've fixed your strikethrough in the top comment; you have a real problem with editing comments to change context, which is disruptive editing, too. Now, you keep saying you believe I won't join in any discussion and yet we are here, on my talkpage, because you don't like what I have to say at discussion. And yes, the current project talk threads are discussions, though your comments also imply you don't think they count (maybe because they were started to point out issues?) When mass article edits and mass article creations are concerned, it's better to deal with it at a project scale rather than repeat the same shit at every article talkpage. You're going to have to get used to how very active Wikiprojects deal with articles in their scope if you'll be creating a lot. Kingsif (talk) 17:09, 1 January 2021 (UTC)
- Sigh. Anyway, can we just end this discussion? I don't have all day to argue with people on Wikipedia. Historyday01 (talk) 17:11, 1 January 2021 (UTC)
- @Historyday01: Sure? I didn't see arguing so much as me trying to explain things and you being annoyed, which I guess is reflected in these last two comments, too. For what it's worth, I'm glad a student editor decided to stick around for once, but real ropes (not WikiEd anti-collaborative nonsense) need to be learned at some point. Kingsif (talk) 17:16, 1 January 2021 (UTC)
- I guess, thanks? Historyday01 (talk) 17:17, 1 January 2021 (UTC)

talk page; or leaving bullshit at a GA review and now being mad it got removed
I intend to delete large portions of that page. Was that not a talk page that I made the comments on.? I saw that it was a page where changes to the age were being discussed. I also made the same comments on the main talk page. Sorry if I offended your tender sensibilities but I feel strongly about what I'm writing about. What's on that page is completely inappropriate and even repeats a threat to the life of a human being. The respectful thing to do would have been to contact me before reverting what I wrote on a talk page.Jackhammer111 (talk)
- @Jackhammer111: No, it is not the talk page, it is a GA review, which is very clear if you read it. Keep it to the article talk page, not a related but completely separate review process. You shouldn't be duplicating complaints everywhere even if it was an appropriate page, but I literally said in the edit reason it was the wrong place. So question answered, why the heck are you coming to me!? Also, if you want to discuss changes, actually discuss them, don't ramble about how you don't like article content. Now piss off with calling me "tender" and disrespectful and citing OWN at me for removing your irrelevant comment from a GA review you're not involved in (especially when you say you plan to ignore users because you have strong feelings about content). Nonsense, and clearly you've never read AGF, CIVIL, etc. etc. Kingsif (talk) 02:18, 29 January 2021 (UTC)

FIFA tables
It doesn't matter if all articles are this way. What we're saying is false. We say that Portugal and Ghana advance to knockout stage and that Uruguay and South Korea do not, despite the fact that they haven't played a single game. We shouldn't present falsehoods, period. — kwami (talk) 08:00, 24 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Kwamikagami: They do not say that, though. The tables are dated, including future dates, to make this opaque. And you know I wasn't saying "others are wrong so it's fine to be wrong", I was clearly saying that these tables have been judged to be correct by many more users than you. Kingsif (talk) 10:19, 24 November 2022 (UTC)
- But they do say that. They say which teams are going to advance before the games are played. There may be consensus that it's acceptable to make false statements because people are going to understand that they're false, but that's setting up a walled garden for readers who know how the system works. For new people attracted to soccer because of coverage of the World Cup, the obvious conclusion is that WP is not to be trusted. — kwami (talk) 19:26, 24 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Kwamikagami: It clearly isn't, and your hyperbole ("users having to take an extra moment to interpret a few tables will make them think all of WP is bad!") is not helping whatever point you're trying to make about some users either not reading the "as of" date or not associating dated information with that date only. But it's the same with all our sources, they're all dated and the information on WP is reliable to that date, and so sometimes it is outdated. Do we mark everything not written today as potentially inaccurate? No, we point people to the date. It is no different here. If you have an issue with it, I suggest you start seeking a formal consensus somewhere else. Kingsif (talk) 12:52, 25 November 2022 (UTC)
- Not to mention, separately, that "this is what the standings are looking like right now, what will the teams need to do" tables are so incredibly common in football and other events with group stages, that I find the theory people newly coming to Wikipedia would be unfamiliar utterly unconvincing. This isn't something WP came up with. Kingsif (talk) 13:00, 25 November 2022 (UTC)
- I'm unfamiliar with it. I find it confusing. If we show the teams advancing before the match is finished, then we're saying that some teams are so far ahead that they're certain to advance regardless of the results of the remainder of the games. That is false.
- And no, if you read the 'as of' date it is still wrong. It is not true that as of a date before the beginning of the match, one team has advanced and another has not. — kwami (talk) 19:49, 25 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Kwamikagami: As I said, this is the wrong venue to argue your case. I took your initial message in good faith, that you may have thought you had a policy-based reason to oppose long-standing consensus. But you have come equipped with nothing but your opinion. For the record, I disagree with you on that, too, as your personal poor interpretation cannot be prescribed to the readership as a whole, and I think all of one case study is weak supporting evidence. I also think you are simply misreading the tables besides football knowledge, as they do not indicate certainty, just "if nothing changes as of now this would happen", which cannot be false. Take it to the football project or, if still around, a tables project, to seek changing consensus. And stop nagging me about the fact you don't agree with something I enforced but did not decide. You're not going to convince me there is anything wrong, not that either of us could do anything about it anyway. Kingsif (talk) 22:50, 25 November 2022 (UTC)
- I'm not using this as a venue to change the template, I'm simply contradicting your false statements. The fact that you would imply I'm acting in bad faith simply because I want WP to be accurate says unflattering things about you as an editor. — kwami (talk) 23:34, 25 November 2022 (UTC)
- One could characterise your coming to an individual user page to state your piece, instead of a more appropriate venue, then continuing to belabour the point when asked to stop, as perhaps not bad faith but certainly at least petulant; it is not done in good faith as it is not beneficial to Wikipedia and is you deliberately fraying editing relations. Or are you merely here trolling? It's one or the other; how else would you interpret the behaviour of someone who knows they cannot affect change but continues to spam one person they disagree with anyway? Kingsif (talk) 14:30, 26 November 2022 (UTC)

Ah, it looks like what I'm 99.9% certain is the same person, as a different IP, who was partly responsible for misbehaviour which allowed an administrator to fully protecting the Jordan Nobbs article for removing similar sourced content. I pray and hope the similar issue of having too many edits resulting in edit warring won't happen here. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 22:56, 14 December 2023 (UTC)
- Yeah, looks like one of those people who thinks they're doing BLP subjects a favour by removing publicly known and well sourced information about their relationships. At least it's not the kind of person who thinks they're doing good by "updating" BLPs with unsourced dating rumours. Does the IP do this a lot? Range block might be worth it? Kingsif (talk) 23:01, 14 December 2023 (UTC)
- And there they go again. Kingsif (talk) 23:48, 14 December 2023 (UTC)
- I see you've already warned this IP for edit warring. It was lucky that I've managed to make a format section edit to Jordan Nobbs before the full protection came. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 10:11, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
- Reported, indef requested. Kingsif (talk) 13:30, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
- Seriously, you're re-adding content based on [1], which is clearly not a WP:RS, but a fan piece? There's been a discussion about this article at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football#Leah Williamson, and I and others have BLP concerns about using that source to verify this. Joseph2302 (talk) 09:16, 18 December 2023 (UTC)
- Er, no. AfterEllen is not a fan site. That report is a recap of a sports competition, so if you think it's written like a fan that just means it's a report from someone who is also a fan (i.e. most reporters in sports and media). As noted, the IP has been at other footballers' articles, as well as an actor's it seems, arbitrarily removing stuff. If their edits are what influenced you to doubt the validity of a legit RS, maybe consider that they're probably a homophobic vandal just wanting to erase the info. Kingsif (talk) 17:14, 18 December 2023 (UTC)

New Pages Patrol newsletter April 2024
Hello Kingsif,
Backlog update: The October drive reduced the article backlog from 11,626 to 7,609 and the redirect backlog from 16,985 to 6,431! Congratulations to Schminnte, who led with over 2,300 points.
Following that, New Page Patrol organized another backlog drive for articles in January 2024. The January drive started with 13,650 articles and reduced the backlog to 7,430 articles. Congratulations to JTtheOG, who achieved first place with 1,340 points in this drive.
Looking at the graph, it seems like backlog drives are one of the only things keeping the backlog under control. Another backlog drive is being planned for May. Feel free to participate in the May backlog drive planning discussion.
It's worth noting that both queues are gradually increasing again and are nearing 14,034 articles and 22,540 redirects. We encourage you to keep contributing, even if it's just a single patrol per day. Your support is greatly appreciated!
2023 Awards

There was one Platinum Award (10,000+ reviews), 2 Gold Awards (5000+ reviews), 6 Silver (2000+), 8 Bronze (1000+), 30 Iron (360+) and 70 more for the 100+ barnstar. Hey man im josh led on redirect reviews by clearing 36,175 of them. For the full details, see the Awards page and the Hall of Fame. Congratulations everyone for their efforts in reviewing!
WMF work on PageTriage: The WMF Moderator Tools team and volunteer software developers deployed the rewritten NewPagesFeed in October, and then gave the NewPagesFeed a slight visual facelift in November. This concludes most major work to Special:NewPagesFeed, and most major work by the WMF Moderator Tools team, who wrapped up their major work on PageTriage in October. The WMF Moderator Tools team and volunteer software developers will continue small work on PageTriage as time permits.
Recruitment: A couple of the coordinators have been inviting editors to become reviewers, via mass-messages to their talk pages. If you know someone who you'd think would make a good reviewer, then a personal invitation to them would be great. Additionally, if there are Wikiprojects that you are active on, then you can add a post there asking participants to join NPP. Please be careful not to double invite folks that have already been invited.
Reviewing tip: Reviewers who prefer to patrol new pages within their most familiar subjects can use the regularly updated NPP Browser tool.
Reminders:
- You can access live chat with patrollers on the New Pages Patrol Discord.
- Consider adding the project discussion page to your watchlist.
- To opt out of future mailings, please remove yourself here.

Welcome to the 2024 WikiCup!
Happy New Year and Happy New WikiCup! The 2024 competition has just begun and all article creators, expanders, improvers and reviewers are welcome to take part. Even if you are a novice editor you should be able to advance to at least the second round, improving your editing skills as you go. If you have already signed up, your submissions page can be found here. If you have not yet signed up, you can add your name here and the judges will set up your submissions page ready for you to take part. Any questions on the scoring, rules or anything else should be directed to one of the judges, or posted to the WikiCup talk page. Signups will close on 31 January, and the first round will end on 26 February; the 64 highest scorers at that time will move on to round 2. The judges for the WikiCup this year are: Cwmhiraeth (talk · contribs · email), Epicgenius (talk · contribs · email), and Frostly (talk · contribs · email). Good luck! If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove your name from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. TM in citations
Greetings! Regarding Special:diff/1195720594: MOS:CONFORMTITLE says that titles of works should be cleaned up to conform to Wikipedia style guidelines; I interpret that to include titles of works in citations conforming to MOS:TMRULES. -- Beland (talk) 00:38, 15 January 2024 (UTC)
- I was writing a long answer, but look, we do not mess with the words of source titles (or quotes from them, etc) for the fact that the source article's original text is considered copyrighted material. Presence on Wikipedia in a limited capacity is fair use, but modification of the words (even if a "TM" symbol) isn't something you can do under fair use. Legally. Unless there's an explanation for why removing it is necessary ("the MOS told me so" isn't). Kingsif (talk) 04:10, 15 January 2024 (UTC)

hi, i am writing about a fairly unknown person. is that okay? --Thekingogog (talk) 01:26, 16 January 2024 (UTC)
- Their popularity doesn't matter if there are suitable sources to show their notability for inclusion. I would suggest reading over WP:GNG and WP:BLP before writing the article. Kingsif (talk) 01:47, 16 January 2024 (UTC)

- Can you please also explain to Explicit that some sporting events are referred to as Country Year ? He deleted the redirected page Saudi Arabia 2034 and doesn't even realize that it refers to the 2034 FIFA World Cup in Saudi Arabia. I fixed the redirect. RE: Updating league tables
Hello, it happens all the time, as soon as games finish the table gets update, you do not need to wait until the end of the match day to be over. I always put DATE (? of ? matches played) to make it clear that not all games have yet finished. Skyblueshaun (talk) 11:43, 5 February 2024 (UTC)
- First, you should reply in the thread where the conversation began, so that it can be easily followed. Second, maybe you do it all the time, but it is strongly discouraged. The actual league tables are not updated until the end of the matchday, and it is misleading to update after, say, the first game and suggest that a team was in X position on the table at any point when they never were (i.e. team A wins the first game on day 1 and goes top, you update, it looks like team A is topping the table, the rest of the games are played and they're much lower and only then does the actual league in question actually produce the first league table. Team A was never top, but you made Wikipedia say that). Kingsif (talk) 21:47, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
WikiCup 2024 February newsletter
The 2024 WikiCup is off to a flying start, with 135 participants. This is the largest number of participants we have seen since 2017.
Our current leader is newcomer Generalissima (submissions), who has one FA on John Littlejohn (preacher) and 10 GAs and 12 DYKs mostly on New Zealand coinage and Inuit figures. Here are some more noteworthy scorers:
- AirshipJungleman29 (submissions), with one FA on Hö'elün, two GAs on Mongolia-related articles, and two DYKs;
- Vami_IV (submissions), with one FA on Doom (2016 video game), one GA on Boundary Fire (2017), and 11 reviews;
- MaranoFan (submissions), with one FA on Holidays (Meghan Trainor song), a nine-article FT on 30 (album), and two DYKs;
- Skyshifter (submissions), with one FA on OneShot and one DYK;
- Sammi Brie (submissions), with five GAs and five DYKs on television and radio stations;
- voorts (submissions) and Elli (submissions), both with one FA and one DYK each.
As a reminder, competitors may submit work for the first round until 23:59 (UTC) on 27 February, and the second round starts 1 March. Remember that only the top 64 scoring competitors will make it through to the second round; currently, competitors need at least 15 points to progress. If you are concerned that your nomination will not receive the necessary reviews, and you hope to get it promoted before the end of the round, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. However, please remember to continue to offer reviews at GAN, FAC and all the other pages that require them to prevent any backlogs which could otherwise be caused by the Cup. As ever, questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup and the judges (Cwmhiraeth (talk · contribs), Epicgenius (talk · contribs), and Frostly (talk · contribs)) are reachable on their talk pages. Question from Patrus Masih (21:34, 12 February 2024)
Hi Kingsif. I'm a total newbie, writing my first article. Some of the guidance I read when I started out suggested that if an article already exists, I should contribute to that, rather than starting out on a new one. So, with some misgivings, I started adding to the short article on "Bible translations into Hindi and Urdu". Unfortunately I know almost nothing about Bible translations into Hindi - I can't even read the Devanagri script that Hindi is usually written in. I know quite a lot about Urdu translations. Already the article has become top-heavy with my Urdu material - and I'm probably less than one third the way through what needs to be said about Urdu translations. Though there are historical links between Urdu and Hindi, they are totally separate languages. There is minimal overlap of religious vocabulary - which is a major feature of the Bible. So really Hindi and Urdu should have their own articles (with some limited cross-referencing). I realise now that should have got advice before I started. What is now the best way forward? When I was starting I came across some info on dividing a Wikipedia article into two articles, but can now no longer find it. Or is another approach wiser? Thanks in advance for your help. --Patrus Masih (talk) 21:34, 12 February 2024 (UTC)
- I have worked on the same article and no, the article should not be split. As far as Christianity is concerned, there is much overlap in religious vocabulary and in fact, most early translations were in Hindustani (both in Devanagari and Nastaleeq). Please continue to work on the article with an inclusive approach and remember that additions should be referenced. Thanks, AnupamTalk 22:39, 12 February 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, thank you for the question. I am not an expert on either language or their approach to Bible translations. Anupam seems to have relevant knowledge, and if I was you I would look to scholarly articles that are about the topic and see what they have to say on if the two language translations are similar enough to be covered in the same article. If you think there is still scope to split the article into two separate articles, I would seek advice from editors with more subject-based knowledge at perhaps WP:WikiProject Christianity - you can search for WikiProjects to seek advice from like you would other articles, by including the prefix in the search box. And feel free to ask any other questions! Kingsif (talk) 16:48, 13 February 2024 (UTC)
Question from IcyRazer (22:44, 15 February 2024)
Hi Kingsif... I'm frankly not that intertested in becoming an "editor" of Wikipedia I saw a less than good illustration for an article and thought to change it. I only re named it. THe article is Parathesia and the illustration is the one labelled "Pins and needles" - just strikes me as a lame illustration of the feeling "pins and needles" --IcyRazer (talk) 22:44, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
- If you're asking how to change the image, first, nobody is going to do it for you if the reason is only "I thought it was lame", second, please be familiar with copyright law in your own country and the USA before uploading any images. Kingsif (talk) 00:03, 16 February 2024 (UTC)

I'm a Wikipedia editor and i have an account for over 6 days and have 92 edits but still I'm unable to move pages. Please help me --From14 (talk) 17:58, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
- I don't know that scope of what you're trying to do, but you might find something helpful at WP:PAGEMOVER Kingsif (talk) 19:38, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
- I'm just asking you that I am unable to move my Drafts articles to the Wikipedia Live Main Space.
- How is it possible? From14 (talk) 19:40, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
- If it is an WP:AfC draft, you need to submit it for review. If it isn't, there should be (on desktop) a "More" option near the top right, and in the dropdown there's a "Move" option. Within the form that follows, you shouldn't change the name - in the dropdown before the name, if you scroll to the top there will be "(Article)" as an option, and that's mainspace. Kingsif (talk) 19:44, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
- All checked by me but there is no button available for Move. From14 (talk) 19:47, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
- I just checked and your drafts are AfC, so only my first sentence is relevant. You cannot move them. Kingsif (talk) 19:56, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
- When will it be possible? From14 (talk) 05:47, 19 February 2024 (UTC)
- It's not possible for anyone to move their own AfC drafts to mainspace. Kingsif (talk) 05:00, 20 February 2024 (UTC)

Your WikiCup submission: 77th British Academy Film Awards
Hi Kingsif, thanks for participating in the WikiCup. You recently submitted 77th British Academy Film Awards for ITN points in the WikiCup, but you do not seem to have been a major contributor to the article (in fact, you do not seem to have edited the article at all). Per Wikipedia:WikiCup/Scoring, you need to have worked on the article significantly to receive points. Unfortunately, this is not eligible for points as a result. – Epicgenius (talk) 23:52, 20 February 2024 (UTC)
- Ah, thanks - I trust you to make any necessary edits (and thanks if you already have). Kingsif (talk) 00:16, 24 February 2024 (UTC)
- I was gonna ask to withdraw because I got into doing the WikiCup as personal editing motivation, but thinking about this submission and other things I might edit to submit, it has felt less fun recently. I want to just edit what I edit and if it meets WikiCup, it meets it, if it doesn't it doesn't, rather than worry about what does or doesn't before/during editing. This isn't that I'm unhappy that submission doesn't count, don't worry - more that I would rather not have to be thinking whether something will count or not when I am making ITN noms (etc.), and the reminder that maybe I do have to is a bit... not the spirit of my editing mindset at the moment. Anyway, I notice that today is the cut-off for the first round so I don't think I need to withdraw, but I thought I'd mention this anyway, say that I hope that it's back to being fun next year, but maybe (and I should probably suggest this at WikiCup talk) there could be a non-scoring tier of WikiCup introduced that is more focused on being fun. Archiving at Talk:Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse
It looks like you moved a bunch of 1-day-old threads that had few-hours-ago activity and were on-going discussions converging towards improved content. The setting is for 3-day expiry. - Honestly, in a current disaster news cycle, one day is more than enough to be "old", and discussions that have been resolved or are off topic should be archived to prevent them attracting irrelevant discussions that makes the talk page difficult to navigate. Request to oversee GA review
This post was modified at 21:56, 2 April 2024 (UTC). This disclosure is added per WP:TALK#REVISE.
Dear Kingsif,
I hope that this message finds you well. I am writing to request your mentorship for my first GA review.
Several days ago, I started an evaluation of Prince George of Wales's article against the GA criteria. Because of my lack of experience and the notability of the article's subject matter, I am admittedly very overwhelmed trying to ensure this review is properly conducted.
Moreover, given that you indicate you would take on pop culture on the GA mentor list, I would especially appreciate your insight. (I understand that calling House of Windsor members "pop culture" may be a stretch, but they are considered as such in my country.) Therefore, would you please be able to provide any pertinent feedback as I complete my GA review on Prince George's article?
Thank you very much for your consideration. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
AndrewPeterT (talk) (contribs) 20:49, 1 April 2024 (UTC)
- I can definitely take a look, though I am a bit busy for a few days - is there anything in particular you want attention on? I have to say, probably quite an overwhelming article for a first review, but thank you for reviewing! Kingsif (talk) 21:35, 1 April 2024 (UTC)
- Actually, I will not need any assistance with this matter. I have been relieved of reviewing Prince George's article against the GA criteria. That being said, I will reach out to you in the future if I have any relevant questions. AndrewPeterT (talk) (contribs) 21:56, 2 April 2024 (UTC)

Question from ChrisBrad40 (08:53, 1 May 2024)
Hi Kingsif
I have been tasked with writing the Wikipedia page for The Accountancy Partnership, the company I work for. I understand this is a conflict of interest. What is the best way to proceed and how can we get the company onto Wikipedia?
Thanks
Chris --ChrisBrad40 (talk) 08:53, 1 May 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Chris, the best way for you to do this would be through WP:AfC - take your time working on the article while following the WP:PILLARS of Wikipedia editing. You can then submit the article draft for consideration, and should declare your COI when doing so. I also recommend reading WP:COI and WP:PAID if this applies. Kingsif (talk) 22:53, 1 May 2024 (UTC)

Nomination of List of intersex Olympians for deletion
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of intersex Olympians until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article until the discussion has finished.--MikutoH talk! 00:36, 11 August 2024 (UTC)
- I don’t know why you undid the redirect when it was part of a process of improvement already discussed! And I really don’t know why that prompted you to start an AfD - bit of unnecessary bureaucracy for breakfast, eh. Kingsif (talk) 10:14, 11 August 2024 (UTC)

Regarding this edit, there is aboslutely 0 reason to include an article listing such a specific list of athletes in the See also section of such an article, in this case a specific edition of the Olympics. It does no correlate to the 2024 Summer Olympics at all, unlike the articles of the subsequent editions. What is next, have a like of athletes born in January ? And no I don't have 3000 edits over the last month and that doesn't give you permission to use it as an argument to remove my edit. I won't fight you over this though, it is too much of an odd link to have and it will get removed over time. If I don't do it someone else will. Have a nice day. Maimai009 (talk) 18:42, 28 July 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for this message, though your reasoning is unconvincing and sounds kinda stubborn. The link is a list that currently relates to the 2024 Olympics - it’s related, and your hyperbole is just a bit exaggerated to suggest that it would lead to the addition of any old list of any athletes. Indeed, when we’ve already seen the see also links of ‘other Games in France’ lead to Winter Games and subsequent Games being added, if I were you I’d be more worried about the creep of adding more and more other unrelated editions of the Games. Now, as I said when I added it (which I assume you saw, because you went through the history to revert the addition rather than just remove the text), it’s not a typical link for Olympics ‘main pages’, and I don’t expect it to last beyond the 2024 Games being hosted (when it’s fairly useful and relevant) - but that means I’d expect removal to be with an aim for discussion of what links are suitable, not the (as I have explained how I see it) incorrect reason that it’s unrelated. Finally, yeah, being inactive for the best part of seven years doesn’t invalidate your edits - and kindly note that I didn’t say that - but it just struck me as a strange choice of something to bother coming back for, looking at all the other editing tasks even at that article. Kingsif (talk) 19:11, 28 July 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks you too. Just a couple of things I want to make it clear: unconvincing reasoning ? That's your opinion, mine is that it doesn't relate to the article. It might relate to the Olympics, that's debatable, but to the 2024 edition specifically, not really. I have to reject your qualification of stubbornness as this would be acceptable for an edit warring, however we are not even talking of a back an forth situation. If anything, you are the stubborn one for insisting of putting it back in ! And finally "something to bother coming back for"... How do you know how I use this site ? I am not coming back, I never left. I may not be as active editing as I used to be, but when I stumble on something odd of course I'll remove it. And this one is very odd, you may just not realize it because it is a current event that you seem to be very much involved in, and I respect that as that's what we need to keep the site alive. Maybe when the whole thing is over you can take a step back, look back and better understand my perspective. Cheers. Maimai009 (talk) 20:32, 28 July 2024 (UTC)
- I... you think List of LGBT Summer Olympians (2024–present) is "debatable" related to the Olympics and not to the 2024 Summer Olympics? When all those words are even in the title? I mean, you don't owe me why you think that if you do, but it's surprising. Of course, as I just said,
I don’t expect it [the link in the 'main' article] to last beyond the 2024 Games being hosted (when it’s fairly useful and relevant)
, so don't worry, no step back afterwards needed. Kingsif (talk) 21:14, 28 July 2024 (UTC)

- See List of British monarchs - a note at the top of the article you're asking about also mentions
This article is about English monarchs until 1707. For British monarchs since the Union of England and Scotland in 1707, see List of British monarchs.
The List of English monarchs only includes people who reigned when England was an independent kingdom, i.e. not part of a united kingdom. Kingsif (talk) 23:37, 20 July 2024 (UTC)

- This draft is marked as promising (not by me) and so not to be deleted under G13. I mean, I don't have the time to work on it and will recreate at a later point if/when I do, but if that tag is simply ignored, why have it in the first place. Kingsif (talk) 20:56, 3 July 2024 (UTC)
- If you wish to have your deleted copy back, see WP:REFUND. If you don't have time for it after it is restored, WP:Userfying it will probably prevent deletion in the future, although that is not guaranteed. Mathglot (talk) 05:03, 14 July 2024 (UTC)
- Oh yeah, I know the process and user drafts, I just noticed it's not the first time a "promising" draft has been G13'd so really, what’s the point in tagging them. Anyway. Kingsif (talk) 15:10, 14 July 2024 (UTC)

Women in Green GA Editathon June 2024 - Going Back in Time
Hello Kingsif:
WikiProject Women in Green is holding a month-long Good Article Edit-a-thon event in June 2024!
Running from June 1 to 30, 2024, WikiProject Women in Green (WiG) is hosting a Good Article (GA) edit-a-thon event with the theme Going Back in Time! All experience levels welcome. Never worked on a GA project before? We'll teach you how to get started. Or maybe you're an old hand at GAs – we'd love to have you involved! Participants are invited to work on nominating and/or reviewing GA submissions related to women and women's works (e.g., books, films) during the event period. We hope to collectively cover article subjects from at least 20 centuries by month's end. So far this year, competitors have gotten 18 featured articles, 22 featured lists, and 186 good articles, 76 in the news credits and at least 200 did you know credits. They have conducted 165 featured article reviews, as well as 399 good article reviews and peer reviews, and have added 21 articles to featured topics and good topics.
Remember that any content promoted after 28 April but before the start of Round 3 can be claimed during Round 3, which starts on 1 May at 00:00 (UTC). Invitations for collaborative writing efforts or any other discussion of potentially interesting work is always welcome on the WikiCup talk page. Remember, if two or more WikiCup competitors have done significant work on an article, all can claim points. If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews Needed.
If you would like to learn more about rules and scoring for the 2024 WikiCup, please see this page. Further questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup and the judges (Cwmhiraeth (talk · contribs), Epicgenius (talk · contribs), and Frostly (talk · contribs)) are reachable on their talk pages. Attitude
With regards to Aitana Bonmati, if you perceived my actions as a form of "vandalism" despite my attempts to explain (in a non-aggressive manner), that is just unfortunate as it was never my intention to do so. You could have just given me an objective reply, instead of making false assumptions and accusations about my intentions. I certainly did not expect sarcasm and mocking behaviour from a Wikipedia moderator. Gandalfett (talk) 10:03, 28 September 2024 (UTC)
- I don't believe I referred to your actions as vandalism? Nor did I mock you, so I'm not sure what you're referring to - I also left you a friendly personal message four days ago to smooth over because I didn't see any ill will and wanted to reflect that back, but nevertheless I shall look to improve how I phrase my concise notes in edit reasons and perhaps preface with AGF to make sure this comes across.
