The article Ahzee has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Questioning notibility
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Meatsgains (talk) 04:28, 4 January 2014 (UTC)
Looks like the editors who made that page, are no more active. So shall we limit the names with the parents/current lineage? Bladesmulti (talk) 06:50, 6 January 2014 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for January 7
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Abdullah Azzam Brigade, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Taba (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

The article Macklemore & Ryan Lewis has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. PamD 12:32, 8 January 2014 (UTC)
Thank you for stalking my every edit, but...
When you write ". Please refrain from using such controversial and baseless remarks" you are violating several fundamental rules of wikipedia. One of which is to assume good will. Another is do not bear false witness. Whoops! Sorry, that's one of the 10 Commandments which DEFINITELY does not apply to wikipedia! lol Anyway, the edits were done to improve the article. My comments were not made on the article but merely reflect an almost UNIVERSAL frustration with the poor quality of work we see in so many wiki articles. Finally, in no way were my comments baseless, thus you owe me an apology. Can't wait.99.185.56.93 (talk) 19:43, 10 January 2014 (UTC)
- Please refer to my original post to you and my answer on the above comment on your user (talk page) -- werldwayd (talk) 20:49, 11 January 2014 (UTC)
For the record, here are the comments on the user talk page:
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, some of your contributions do not appear to be constructive. You also tend to leave disparaging uncourteous remarks about the works of other colleagues. Of particular concern are comments like "This thing was written by an ILLITERATE! bahah" (capitalizing all letters of the offensive word ILLITERATE! addressed to specific editors), "I tried to correct some of it, but left because I didn't want anything to rub off" replacing an even greater insult "[I tried but], left before the IQ points started to melt" (on a talk page designed for comments about articles). On an edit note to Coffey Anderson, you comment: "Who wrote this - His mom? baha" and on an edit of Dixie Chicks, you leave an equally disparaging remark "Who wrote this - their PR firm?". These repeated comments of an aggressive nature are considered personal attacks against fellow editors and their integrity and should be avoided. Please refrain from using such controversial and baseless remarks, and confine your comments on actual edits you made with relevant comments without being aggressive or doubting the good will of fellow editor contributions. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. werldwayd (talk) 13:13, 10 January 2014 (UTC)
- You respond that "Anyway, the edits were done to improve the article. My comments were not made on the article but merely reflect an almost UNIVERSAL frustration with the poor quality of work we see in so many wiki articles." Please note that we do not express our frustrations with a certain text and use the occasion of proposing a certain "improvement" by leaving remark on the same page's talk section "This thing was written by an ILLITERATE! bahah", by which you mean works of those before you. This makes your so-called "improvement" counter-productive by dubbing earlier edits as done by illiterates. As for the notion of so-called "stalking" of your previous edits, there is no intention whatsoever to stalk our editors and their contributions. But when established long-time editors find a truly offensive remark about previous "illiterate" editors who have prepared a certain page, I feel it is my duty to make a quick check about other related edits to make sure whether this was a one-off remark or was it a general recurring occurance or trend. If it was a one single remark made at the heat of a moment, we would say pass on, particularly for new editors. But in your case, and upon checking (not stalking mind you) of a few comments made in the last few days, your edits seem to degenerate into a general trend of resorting to demeaning comments on many so-called improvements that you are trying to introduce by you shedding doubt about the good will of other editors claiming as you did that these were done by the subject's mother or the subject's PR firm knowing well that the editors concerned are not related to the subject in any way and were trying to create an article to the best of their knowledge. If your aim is to simply to improve, of course, Wikipedia is a free encyclopedia open to anybody and everybody to improve upon under a known user name or anonymously. But if that is your aim, then stick strictly to the improvement aspect. All an accompanying disparaging comment does, even if you think it is a funny remark or justified remark, is to hurt your original intention of helping to that of insulting others. werldwayd (talk) 08:15, 11 January 2014 (UTC)

Arab Jews
I never said no Jews come from Arab countries nor are Arab Jews not indigenous to their respective Arab country. I had removed "Jews" because not all Jews come from Arab counties only Mizrahi Jews (Arab Jews) do. Shouldn't we be more specific and say "Mizrahi Jews" instead of solely "Jews" (again may bad for not doing so earlier)? Also why did you remove Ralph Nader is he not Lebanese and able to speak Arabic? AcidSnow (talk) 02:02, 20 January 2014 (UTC)

Better source request for some of your uploads
Thanks for your uploads to Wikipedia. There is an issue with some of them, specifically:
You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the images because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the images, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image files themselves. Please update the image descriptions with URLs that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 03:16, 24 January 2014 (UTC)

Articles
Hi mate :) I have made a few new mainly stub articles Renée Nyberg, Karin Adelsköld, Annika Lantz, CajsaStina Åkerström, Ellen Benediktson and Eva Hamilton. I think I have to take a article creation break.... I am on fire and at my A game LOL :D--BabbaQ (talk) 00:33, 15 February 2014 (UTC)
- I do not know if me creating only articles about women are some sort of sign that I need a date? :)--BabbaQ (talk) 00:34, 15 February 2014 (UTC)
- Please take a look at Anton Ewald and Alcazar (band) articles. I have today worked to improve them as it is likely that one of them or Sanna Nielsen will win Melodifestivalen 2014. If you could work your magic on those articles it would be appreciated :) --BabbaQ (talk) 23:03, 15 February 2014 (UTC)

Picture of Greg Cravens (cartoonist)
I've been given direct permission from Greg, to use anything I can find. He knows I am using the photo, and the information he has provided me about his personal life. Please return Mr. Craven's photo to his page. (Yes, HE owns the rights to his own photo, which he posted to his page, and has given me permission to use it.) Regards, AllanVS talk contribs 04:21, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
I have returned the photo after your request. But still the reservations remain that this was a photo taken from an online site. The photo is included in the Hubris website and is their property. Me, I am not overzealous, but eventually my feeling is that it will be disallowed. Inclusion of photos at whatever cost is not a good approach. Many of our articles don't have photos precisely because of this, even though the person may have had tens of photos online we could have used from blogs or events he was in etc. In my note, I had commented that if you are that close to the individual, the best approach is to wait for an occasion to take a photo of him yourself and use it after uploading it duly in Wikimedia. werldwayd (talk) 04:53, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you. Again, Greg is a friend of mine, and I've included only what he's said is ok. I haven't put up anything he hasn't already shared, and has said it's ok to use. I wouldn't insist on using it, if Greg hadn't given me personal permission to use it. If you'd like, I can give you his email, and you can verify with him. AllanVS talk contribs 05:06, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
- No. No need. I don'tneed to contact him. It is a matter of trust. I take your word for it. But truly, take my advice and arrange for an original photo that can be taken for Wikipedia purposes, unpublished in online media, and can be used for the article. It should also be a toned down photo. The photo taken here is not a particularly good photo for our purposes. It is an "action photo" taken sideways not a straight face photo. It shows him during a sports or leisure activity not related to his profession of cartoons. It sends in all the wrong message signals for the page and the artist. werldwayd (talk) 05:31, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
- "It is an action photo taken sideways not a straight face photo. It shows him during a sports or leisure activity not related to his profession of cartoons" Ah, but that my friend, is where you are wrong. Read about Hubris!, and read the Hubris! website, and you'll come to the fast realization that this photo is exactly what his cartoons are about. It's why I chose that one. Regards. AllanVS talk contribs 05:34, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
- Allan, that's all I want to say on this. My role is very detached and impersonal. Part of what I do, and this my involvement here, is that I check articles listed for deletion, if I find enough notability of the individual and worth our while to save a certain article, I remove most non-encyclopedic aspects of the article, try to add some references, standardise and maintain certain article requirements, and this way I try to save articles nominated by other colleagues from imminent deletion if possible. I have done tens of thousands of edits related to thousands of articles and I just have a feel how an article should be. I have no particular interest in any one article or any one subject. If my edits are reverted, I don't mind. I've done what I possibly could here. I still feel a straight face photo taken ideally for Wikipedia unpublished elsewhere is the best approach. In many occasions, an article with no photo is perfectly alright too. All the best to you. werldwayd (talk) 05:54, 19 February 2014 (UTC)

AfD for Willy Monfret
An article that you either edited or previously proposed for deletion has been nominated for deletion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Willy Monfret. Due to lack of discussion the article has now been relisted twice. If you have a chance could you please stop by and weigh in on the deletion debate. — Bill W. (Talk) (Contrib) — 14:00, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
The article Bera Ivanishvili has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references.
Hi there! I noticed you've re-created the Maiday article: it was deleted in mid-2013 due to "lack of notability". I tried to argue the case but didn't win sadly.
Thank you. Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 03:12, 16 April 2014 (UTC)

Interested in userfying an article Amir (singer)?
Hey, I saw that you were one of the editors that had been active on the page for Amir (singer). I've deleted the page due to a lack of notability, but I wanted to see if you'd be interested in userfying it. The big issue I had was that there was a faint assertion of notability, but there really weren't any RS hits coming up on a GS in Persian or English. It likely wouldn't have survived an AfD so I went ahead with it, but part of me still hopes that there can be sources somewhere. If you want, I can put a copy in your userspace if you're interested. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 08:39, 6 May 2014 (UTC)
- It's at User:Werldwayd/Amir (singer). Also, I replied on my talk page with the various links that you might find useful, but here's basically what I wrote:
- There's not really one good place to look, but you could probably find quite a few in the category pages for the speedy candidates and proposed deletion candidates. There are almost always more than a few performers listed on there, so it's usually a good place to start looking. Many of them get placed on the Speedy Deletion Wikia, but they don't always make it that far. I know that if you see any on the speedy deletion category that you want to have userfied, I'm more than happy to do it. I feel sort of guilty sometimes when I see performers who may be notable, but like you said, may have a language barrier standing in the way of finding sources. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 08:57, 6 May 2014 (UTC)
It would be a great pleasure actually Tokyogirl79. I truly like to work on articles of artists with ethnic origins in Wikipedia. Although the references are much harder to find, and sometimes they are in foreign languages not accessible to most of our editors, yet these artists are truly international artists in the diasporas stretching from North America to Europe to Africa to Asia and Australia. They are active in and do get some coverage in various media away from their countries when they engage in international tours. Of course the hardest part is proving chart positions as most countries do not have official singles and albums charts...
By the way since we are at it, for a very long time, I've been truly interested in working on articles of artists already deleted or in the very risk of getting deleted. Is there a convenient area in which I would know about deleted articles of such artists that could be revived with some efforts. I am willing to exert enough effort to reestablish artist articles deleted because of lack of references and finding notable articles about them. werldwayd (talk) 08:49, 6 May 2014 (UTC)

- I dedicate to you a very famous song by Amir called "Sahneh". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DvVB1y0SqH8 Amir is an American Persian singer. The songwriter Shahyar Ghanbari who wrote it is a huge songwriter with songs to the greatest names of Persian music and he found appropriate to give a song to Amir. This is an achievement as is. The short Amir article of a few lines did have three separate references attached as you see in English and Persian and a review of his album. I could not understand why a long-standing article needs to be "speedily deleted' rather than being given a fair chance of being discussed at least. werldwayd (talk) 09:14, 6 May 2014 (UTC)
- That song is so beautiful and forlorn! I have to admit that it was the sourcing that gave me pause. I can see where they could be potentially picked apart at AfD as being unusable, but I kept sort of feeling that there might be more out there and the speedy didn't really sit well with me, so I definitely was glad you were willing to userfy it. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 09:23, 6 May 2014 (UTC)
- The music of the song was composed by a renowned Armenian musician called Andranik Asatoorian now living in the States. werldwayd (talk) 10:56, 6 May 2014 (UTC)

Syriac Union Party (Lebanon)
When you created the infobox for Syriac Union Party (Lebanon), was there any particular reason why you described the party as "right-wing" and adhering to "conservatism" ideologically? ~~ Lothar von Richthofen (talk) 03:23, 21 May 2014 (UTC)
- The ideology of the party is conservative and very right wing and closely associated with the right-wing Lebanese Forces and Kataeb Phalange party. Ibrahim Murad the head of the party closely cooperates with the center-right coalition March 14 Alliance, particularly the Lebanese Forces and right-wing Christians. The party's Syrian counterpart Syriac Union Party (Syria) and contrary to general misgivings by Syriacs for more neutrality in the Syrian conflict and a moderate stance towards Assad has sided instead very clearly, vocally and in action, with Syria's anti-Assad forces, the extreme right wing Islamists, even advocating military involvement against the Assad regime. werldwayd (talk) 13:24, 21 May 2014 (UTC)
- Ok, you say their ideology is "conservative and very right-wing" but fail to elaborate in any way other than saying that they are in alliance with a few right-wing groups. Of course, March 14 contains some rightist parties, but also groups like DLM and Hunchak. For the record, SUP-S has not sided with any islamist forces, contrary to your assertions, but rather with the Kurdish PYD—an affiliate of the PKK, which is anything but right-wing. You seem to be confusing "I don't really like them" with "right-wing". So I ask again: how exactly can SUP-L be classed as a right-wing, conservative party? ~~ Lothar von Richthofen (talk) 16:29, 21 May 2014 (UTC)
- In response, I never said I don't like them. I am very neutral on this and thankfully now so far away from Lebanon as can be (Canada to be precise) so as not to be involved in the quagmire and never-ending bickering between the Lebanese. But for the party's right wing stances, all you have to do is check the official positions taken by the party, particularly under the leadership of Mr. Ibrahim Murad, its founder. I don't know about the "official ideology" as most party platforms in Lebanon are superfluous and engulfed with vague generalities. But the directions taken under the leadership of Mr. Murad are very much solidly pro-Lebanese Forces and Kataeb, and anti-Aoun, anti-Assad and anti-Hezbollah. Brief reference to a few materials on the party's website and declarations made by the party make things very clear. http://www.syriac-union.org/ But I leave it to you to do the research and come with a more vague reference to general ideology of the party which, frankly, more than being right wing or left wing, is rather activism in Syriac rights as full Lebanese citizens, rights which have been denied politically based on the numbers and actual demographic presence of Syriacs in Lebanon. By the way, I am Lebanese and well-versed in the intricate matters of Lebanese history and politics and wouldn't have put right wing / left wing arbitrarily. Right wing is not an insult and neither does it indicate extremism. Right wing / left wing are more Western concepts dubbing various Lebanese groupings, but local Lebanese groupings wouldn't label themselves as right wing or left wing and nor will their official platforms admit to ideologies to be able to cater to a more broad spectrum of adherents and will keep contact with all groups of left and right leanings. Particularly taking into consideration the rights of the Syriacs, which this group and other Syriac groups aspire to represent to gain, as they should, a foothold in Lebanese politics. werldwayd (talk) 17:05, 21 May 2014 (UTC)
- By the way, I am surprised adherents of the party and they are quite a few and seemingly very active do not come and change what is mentioned about the party on Wikipedia. Rather edits are concentrated on this Assyrian/Chaldean/Syriac divide more than anything else. Syriac Union Party is a party vying for wider visibility and had they objected, they would have come and edited the page long ago, albeit editing anonymously or through a non-involved user name. So we end up discussing semantics me and you, which is nice I admit, while the party is not objecting to what is said about its conservative / right wing stances at all. werldwayd (talk) 17:13, 21 May 2014 (UTC)
- You are entirely correct in noting that "left/right" are Western concepts ill-suited to such matters. But all the same, they carry certain connotations that need to be unpacked properly in an encyclopaedic setting. I would counter that being anti-Assad/Hezbollah/Aoun is not in and of itself a definitive marker of being "right-wing". That would seem to insinuate a no true Scotsman fallacy of sorts that would seek to bulldoze over any real differences in "left-wing" perspectives by reducing and essentialising "leftism" to mere support for the Ba'athist Syrian government (whose "leftist" credentials are very much up for debate, but that's beyond the scope of discussion here). Indeed, "conservatism" in its loosest sense can mean defence of the status quo—which would make March 8 the "conservative" grouping. Now, I won't deny that Phalange & friends are very much "right-wing". But the thing is, politics is messy (especially in Lebanon, as you well know). I tend to see March 14 (and March 8, really) as more "big tent" than explicitly rightist (again, looking to the smaller parties like Democratic Left and Hunchak), and the orientation of the large groups does not necessarily dictate everyone's individual orientation. That SUP-L chooses to associate with the alliance represents only that it regards entering into official opposition against the reigning order as being the most viable means of achieving its essentially reformist goals.
- I don't mean to question your firsthand knowledge of the Lebanese political scene. On the other hand, I have a substantial level of familiarity with the broader "Dawronoye" movement to which SUP-L belongs. The movement traces its roots to Gabo d'Hirutho d'Bethnahrin [1], a leftist guerilla group which fought against (anti-communist) Turkey and the (conservative) KDP in Iraq. Again, it becomes necessary to look towards the PKK—which Dawronoye has been very close to since its origins—to understand its ideological orientation (at around 2:25 in the previous video you can see how their guerillas look essentially identical to those of the PKK). Now, I'll admit that SUP-L is more obscure to me than ESU and SUP-S, but as far as I understand, it would constitute nothing short of an ideological about-face from its current sister groups and its own past to move toward the right. I'll also admit that there's very little in the way of "reliable sources" to back up what I'm saying (due mainly to a conspicuous lack of scholarly attention towards modern Assyrian/Syriac politics), but this was a "your word against mine" debate from the outset, so take this all as you will.
- Among the various Assyrian/Syriac/Chaldean/etc. political groupings, Dawronoye tends to take some of the most radical positions. The term Dawronoye ("revolutionaries") itself is a dead giveaway as to how the movement conceptualises itself. They are more or less ("officially") egalitarian in outlook, their brand of nationalism tends to fall solidly to the left (evidenced by their solidarity with PKK-style groups), they lean heavily on leftist-liberationist rhetoric and imagery (compare e.g. the SUP-S logo to that of the Koma Civakên Kurdistan), and they often assume critical positions toward the stances of the established (and "conservative") ecclesiastical hierarchy vis à vis the established state order while still retaining a strong spirituality. They are actually quite controversial within the larger Syriac community for such positions. If it is affiliations that you look to in classifying SUP-L, why does its history and position within the larger international scene get disregarded?
- I don't regard the fact that the page hasn't been changed as meaning anything at all—"absence of evidence is not evidence of absence" and all that jazz. At most, it signifies that a stub article on English Wikipedia isn't all that important or visible to them. At any rate, I think the current designations should either be changed or at least removed. ~~ Lothar von Richthofen (talk) 20:50, 21 May 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for your elaborate inputs. Since there is no clear proof whatsoever regarding the leanings of the Lebanese faction with its own "peculiarities" and "strategic orientation" (it might be just political maneuvering on their part to adapt to volatile situations they are facing in Lebanon, Syria and Iraq), I am all for a more obscure designation of say Syriac nationalism and representation of Syriac rights in Lebanon, because they are mainly aiming for political representation in the Lebanese Parliament with one or possibly two MPs of their own with the seats allocated to the Syriac Orthodox and Syriac Catholic constituents, as the sectarian division of the Lebanese Parliament stipulates, this on equal terms with say the Armenians, the Evangelicals, the druze, etc rather than the "minorities seat" they now have in Beirut 2 electoral district. werldwayd (talk) 21:04, 21 May 2014 (UTC)

Good day to you, Sir! Could you be more precise what you mean by this? I provided a reliable source for my edit, you see. 85.194.253.105 (talk) 11:01, 21 May 2014 (UTC)
- We should be very careful particularly careful for attributing certain personal life matters. Regarding the two children, this is clearly indicated. But in the reference you quote, http://www.maailmankuvalehti.fi/node/1755 , there is just a passing vague remark that he returned to Tanzania to a girlfriend and a daughter. True the source alludes to a relationship, but no names, nor that the daughter was his. it might have been a partnership with a girl who already had a daughter. Doesn't mean it was his. Whereas our reference to his wife Niina and 2 children was sourced, although now I see has been replaced by newer content. Requesting more reliable sources I mentioned just meant confirmation that he had a daughter himself from a girlfriend but that he left the girlfriend and the child behind while going to Finland where he married. It's just that in personal matters we should be more cautious. If you deem that the source does confirm he had a daughter, you can reinstate it. All I was asking was a clearer source. werldwayd (talk) 15:54, 21 May 2014 (UTC)

Whilst LAI is an internationally-renowned painter/illustrator, I am apparently her only biographer and so need to rely on myself for references. Can you suggest other sources.
Please note, I am not technologically minded; do not know or know how to use forums etc. so am unaware of conventions used. Many thanks82.2.9.40 (talk) 07:44, 10 June 2014 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Cut Your Teeth
Hello Werldwayd,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Cut Your Teeth for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is significant enough to be included in an encyclopedia, and the artist doesn't have an article.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Youngdrake (talk) 14:57, 27 June 2014 (UTC)

I noticed that with this edit you added a table for the live albums but citation 23 is broken and never appears to have worked. Can you fix it? Thanks. ww2censor (talk) 22:57, 5 July 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for your notice to me. I see the live table as well as the studio albums table on above are both fixed and quite alright. Is there anything I should fix or is it ok now? werldwayd (talk) 23:35, 5 July 2014 (UTC)
- I don't see that you did anything. Citation 23, the very last one which is in the second column of the peak positions of the live album table does not work. ww2censor (talk) 23:44, 5 July 2014 (UTC)
- Now I understand. I have fixed it now if you can go back to it. it is now note 19 for both cases of BEL (Wallonia) column. werldwayd (talk) 23:56, 5 July 2014 (UTC)
- OK, that works, I assumed it might just be an error with a simple fix. Thanks ww2censor (talk) 09:33, 6 July 2014 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Lézard, of french Wiki. I saw that you have added the album Message personnel in 2013. This double CD is not a new album, just a reissue for sale at the fortieth anniversary of the original album, released in 1973. Of course there are some unreleased bonus tracks on the second CD, but this is a simple marketing operation of the record label as we see often these lately. And anniversaries are a boon more to counter the crisis on sales. All this to tell you, dear Werldwayd, it is undesirable that it be added to the list. Nomination of Jaap van Reesema for deletion
A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Jaap van Reesema is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jaap van Reesema until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Launchballer 17:48, 28 July 2014 (UTC)
The article Joseph Hanna has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Fails the general notability guideline. No sufficient coverage in secondary sources.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Tutelary (talk) 17:03, 29 July 2014 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Arev Armenian Folk Ensemble
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Arev Armenian Folk Ensemble requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Hello and sorry for the late reply.
I did see on the Russia wikipedia. I could try there for the article. I have also found a really reliable source. If someone with the rights can put the page back on? No idea. So I found this new article here-

ACE FREHLEY 2015 ALBUM.
look its confirmed, it will be out in 2015, WHICH IS WHY I ADDED THAT TO HIS PAGE! Plus you complained about there not being a title yet, that's why I put TBA!! I don't understand why you even reverted my edit. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Spaceman1978 (talk • contribs) 10:29, 30 August 2014 (UTC)
here's a quote from that article you can read from the link I posted.
" tells Arena.com that the album will be released sometime next year, adding that he's planning to "get guest stars like Lita Ford, Mike McCready from Pearl Jam [and] Slash" to contribute to the record. As for what covers tunes will appear on the album, he says, "I get suggestions, I come up with ideas, and I ask friends and associates about which songs to do."
As for why he expects to put out the new project so quickly after Space Invader, Ace points out, "The songs are already written, so it is faster and easier for me to make that record." — Preceding unsigned comment added by Spaceman1978 (talk • contribs) 10:33, 30 August 2014 (UTC)

Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 22:35, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
You are persisting on vandalisng our pages. Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia. If you persist further, your account, will be suspended Thank you. werldwayd (talk) 23:01, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
- In response to your posting on my talk page for everybody to see, it is you who has an agenda, not me. I am doing an honest job to try to edit in a neutral encyclopedic language based on references cited. You have created this so called "account" just to vandalise this specific page. Instead of his proper name in Arabic, عبد المجيد عبد الباري you have replace it with ابن مثلي الجنس من عاهرة literally a "homosexual" and "son of a whore" referring to his mother. The rest of your edits are also detrimental and unsubstantiated. After just two attempts of editing, you now have the audacity to threathen a colleague for his edits, a further indication of the set of mind you came in here to edit. When contientious colleague like Materialscientist warns you you persist. Then I warn you and you still persist a third time. This treatment of experienced colleagues from someone who has never done one single edit earlier is highly arrogant and aggressive. As for his radicalisation because of arrest of his father it is clearly from this source: http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2014/08/26/meet-abdel-majed-abdel-bary-aka-l-jinny-the-ali-g-of-evil.html The article quotes one of his songs saying: "Gimme that nine and I’ll cock it for my partners; Gimme the pride and I’ll honor it like my father. I swear the day they came and took my dad I could’ve killed a couple, too, and I wouldn’t have looked back. Imagine back then I was only 6. Just picture what I’ll do now with a loaded stick.” This is a clear sign of radicalisation because of his father's arrest. Continuing on the same article: "I’m reaching out to you, lord. I know you hear me; I hope you’re near me. I could feel the lack of love. I’m stuck behind this cross of swords; I’m trying to grab a dove. And I could see the light, but can’t reach it. I’ve had enough.” This is word for word from the The Daily Beastarticle cited. You are unfit to edit any page as far as I am concerned. This matter of open threats in itself on my talk page and so publicly without shame or remorse is grounds enough for your suspension. As for my edits, they are fully substantiated by the references cited. werldwayd (talk) 00:14, 5 September 2014 (UTC)
- After having replaced his name by "son of a gay man from a whore" (ابن مثلي الجنس من عاهرة) referring to his parents, this time, you have replaced his name by another derogatory term (لدي الجنس مع الخنازير) associating him with pigs for those ignorant in Arabic. Wikipedia is not a YouTube videos like commentary page where adding insult is sadly a free for all activity. I undestand you despise the man. But it is not an excuse at all for such edits. On my talk page you say: "Do you have a particular agenda regarding the subject at hand?". And I am responding with exactly the same words to you: Do you have a particular agenda regarding the subject at hand? At least own up to your own words and refrain from adding disparaging remarks. You have amassed enough editing infractions in these few days including personally threatening me on my talk page that your suspension from editing is in order. For me it is long overdue, ever since your first edit if I may add. werldwayd (talk) 22:04, 5 September 2014 (UTC)
For the record, here is the threat to me as editor posted on my talk page:
I'm not sure why you stetted my revisions to the Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary page. The original is atrociously written, and quite unsubstantiated in its own right. When you permit original articles that outright term an individual as a "rapper" or a "hacker," you are perpetuating nonsensical nomenclature. Do you have a particular agenda regarding the subject at hand? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gadsden14 (talk • contribs) 22:33, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
UPDATE: You persist in publishing a highly politicized self-written article that not only contains irrelevant information, but also highly biased and uncited material. For example, do you truly believe that it is appropriate to publish "Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary was radicalised by Muslim groups in England. His father's legal ordeal and his eventual extradition to the States greatly affected Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary and served in radicalising him further." These statements are YOUR statements -- and wholly unsubstantiated.
You have continued to revert my edits, calling my updates "vandalism," when they are nothing of the sort. Again, I ask: Do you have a particular agenda regarding the subject at hand? It's interesting that your own activity is centered primarily within English and Arabic. I am reporting you to U.S. authorities, for my own peace of mind. Gadsden14 (talk) 23:12, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
Added here as a matter of record by editor werldwayd from my own talk page with a post by Gadsden14 dated 4 September 2014. werldwayd (talk) 22:15, 5 September 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, I despise the man. To give him even the title of "rapper" is repugnant, when he has neither earned compensation for his lyrics nor had a professional affiliation with a record label. Further, for you to pen an article positing as true the notion that he was unfortunately affected and further radicalized as a result of seeing his father, a MASS MURDERER, arrested is as ignorant as it it unsubstantiated. You ask me whether I have an agenda... Of course I do -- I am a United States citizen who wishes to discredit, uncover and eviscerate the extremist Islamists that you inadvertently heap fame upon vis-a-vis acknowledgment on Wiki. Carry on, but know that we are watchful.
- Some more veiled threats this time, by you saying "we are watchful". Exactly what that "we" means is unclear. If you are an honest editor, why do you use the term "we". Was that a slip of the tongue, or you are truly working as a cover of a much bigger extremist grouping we don't know about to silence editors here? Isn't it ironic that you have the same mentality of the people you abhore, using very similar tactics of intimidation and spreading of fear and hatred? And on a page about an alleged murderer of two journalists? We are reporters and journalists after all, and we do our best to report impartially and comprehensively including people's pasts as rappers etc. Look, either you are an editor, and you are welcome to edit in a neutral way with substantiated referencing, or you are an agenda driven propagandist, and are just being used as a mouthpiece of those "we are watchful" you are talking about. You know, I have spent too much time already with an editor who is not worthy of editing in Wikipedia. You can go to thousands of propaganda sites available, insult anybody and everybody who doesn't agree with you and get away with it. Open a page on Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary elsewhere, put all the insults that come to your mind in English and Arabic about him, till you have your fill and marvel your achievement. But your contributions in Wikipedia are not welcome, as you dub people, gay sons of whores and pigs (ابن مثلي الجنس من عاهرة in one edit and لدي الجنس مع الخنازير in another). You should have been banned much earlier, but you still keep the semblance of actually caring about Wikipedia materials at least in this case. Clearly you know some Arabic or you wouldn't have inserted such disparaging remarks instead of his name. The days of McCarthyism are over sir. So are the days of intimidation and censorship. You have chosen a medium that is based on contributions in an encyclopedic and comprehensive manner using neutral language. Your idea of editing is selective, partial and intolerant vigilantism. Finally, this is an English-language Wikipedia, not the American National Wikipedia. Here all notable persons get coverage in equal terms. In any case, this conversation is an exemplary case of what one should say on Wikipedia pages and what one must not say. Threatening fellow editors is a big no-no among colleagues. I've had it with you as an editor "colleague" you and your despicable so-called "Carry on, but know that we are watchful" attitude of arrogance and intimidation. Me, I am watchful of all who add materials considered vandalism as far as I can. I am not available 24-hours but I do come back and diligently correct edits here on this page that I see as vandalism according to Wikipedia's standards and definitions. If I don't, other colleagues will anyway, sooner or later. Meanwhile have the satisfaction of seeing your edits pass for a few minutes or a few hours at best. werldwayd (talk) 13:26, 6 September 2014 (UTC)
- First, let me say that I agree with 90% of your most recent reply wholeheartedly. I abhor censorship, and believe that, with respect to most matters in life, there is a certain "truth" that free media is obligated to uncover and make available for discussion. By no means do I mean to threaten or intimidate you, and clearly my own ignorance regarding the Wiki medium and its etiquette has been made obvious. I extend to you an apology. Look, for many of the same reasons that you've deemed me an agenda-driven propagandist, I initially concluded the same about YOU. Given what you have shared in the reply above, I now believe that I was mistaken. Yes, obviously, to publicly posit that this man is the son of a whore, etc., etc. is disparaging. However, the intent was to counter-balance what has been perceived as a sympathetic, if not empowering, editorial picture that you initially painted regarding this individual. I believe that journalistic integrity demands absolute neutrality -- and my efforts were intended to demonstrate that just as it might be inaccurate to post with a blatantly negative connotation, so too are submissions that subversively empower individuals. Think about it... What is a "rapper?" What is a "hacker?" These terms project power and have meaning. Professional labels impart legitimacy onto the individuals upon whom they're bestowed. Who are you or I to put forth before the World's eye a premise by which an individual may have been radicalized into a highly-inhumane culture? Yes, we, as men and women of our respective cultures, are unable to articulate information without some semblance of our own persuasions embedded therein; however, for each and every overly-biased presentation, there exists an equally-polarized and diametrically-opposed perspective. I believe that you and I view the subject at hand from different perspectives... We owe it to the World and Wiki, however, to find neutrality. I respectfully request that you amend your submission to acknowledge the subject (Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary) as merely an "amateur rapper," to omit empowering Abu Hussain Al-Britani as a "hacker," and to delete the text, "His father's legal ordeal and his eventual extradition to the States greatly affected Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary and served in radicalising him further." If you will please effect these revisions, then I agree that you will have produced a solid, neutral account of the subject. Thank you.
- I welcome this reconciliatory tone in your latest response and this is how a discussion should be conducted. You clearly state the exact segments that you find questionable in my original edits. I also took a look at your edits here and I find them very plausible. This clearly reduces what might be conceived as "excesses" on my part. Upon study of your amendments and overall reading of the article as it stands now, I think it is more presentable. I won't challenge them. You must understand no article is owned by anybody including me. I just found two weeks ago that this individual was becoming very notable, yet there was nothing on him in Wikipedia despite tens of article in other media. Previously I knew zilch about him, so this was a learning process through research. I had no interest in promoting him in any way, just to present what he has done till now, from beginning to end, and not just his videos with the very sad and truly inhuman displays he appeared in with the helpless American journalists. So I wrote the article based on what I could find on him throughout his life. My mindset was not to be just a "recentist", meaning not to concentrate on only the very last events in the last couple of months, but to convey a continuous presentation of his life since his birth passing through his experiences in Egypt as a son of a controversial Islamist parent, experiences with the legal system in the UK, his artistic career, after all he appeared on the BBC and on various reports in hip hop media, his radicalization through preachers in the UK and his decision to fight in Syria and becoming a spokesman as a British-accented ISIL combattant and mouthpiece. You notice I also added his involvement in Sotloff's murder at least on video, so this is a developing article. I accept the most recent edits that you made as is. You may also make further edits as well if they are in the same spirit. As I said, no one owns an article in Wikipedia. Yes I had a great hand in initiating the article and most of its content, but it doesn't mean I'll have to ok all later edits on the article. On the contrary, Wikipedia and all its pages are truly collaborative efforts and all those who want to contribute in a meaningful way can. Nobody had pitched in with meaningful content, so I exerted extra effort to present him. That's all there is to it. I just hoped more editors would be interested in developing it further, but not many did... I will also take a cooling period myself and let other editors follow the page. This was a very taxing task on me and my spirit. This is not my specialty and I don't get particularly attracted to such subjects that frankly nauseate me. Anyway, the article took a lot of time and effort.. and for what? I make thousands of edits in hundreds of new subjects, I don't want this to be the article that will pre-occupy me needlessly. I have no particular desire to be the main editor about him anyway. I dislike the fellow and all he stands for. In any case, I will only intervene when there is addition of insults and curses which have no place in Wikipedia. I have a serious feeling the days of this young man are very much numbered anyway. The pace of the events that he has put himself in will overwhelm him and finally cause a quick end to his saga on the hands of foriegn forces or on the hands of the very fanatic ideologists he thinks he is serving. He chose this pace of fame and he will be held for it and pay dearly. Nothing new there either. He won't be the first nor the last victim. The history of such ideologists are full of such ends, an end that he will meet doubtlessly sooner or later, but I feel sooner. His sense of being "invincible" will be his final call for a "martyrdom for a cause" he is clearly asking for with open arms. Good riddance. werldwayd (talk) 18:35, 6 September 2014 (UTC)

Werldwayd, you are incorrect concerning your criticism concerning my recent edit of List of Lebanese People:
- Lydia Canaan - first rock star of the Middle-East. See: Edward D'Mello, Gulf News, November 29, 2000 - singer
You removed "first rock star of thr Middle-East" (including my proper citation) and replaced it with "rock singer", alleging that only simple descriptions are used, and referenced the others on the other lists, but had you actually looked at the others, you would have seen that there are more detailed descriptions, such as these examples:
- Arsinée Khanjian - actress of Lebanese-Armenian origin (wife of director Atom Egoyan)
- Peter Macdissi, film actor (television series Six Feet Under; film Towelhead)
- Suzanne Tamim - singer; made headlines when she was found murdered in Dubai
- Hassan Alaa Eddin, commonly known as Chouchou or Shoushou, actor, comedian
Not to mention that the very REASON that Lydia Canaan is notable is that she was the first rock star of the Middle-East!!! I am reverting your change to reflect my original edit. Please kindly take care to pay closer attention before undoing the hard work of diligent editors. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Musician Biographer (talk • contribs) 22:14, 13 September 2014 (UTC)

- Musician Biographer, I would have removed it too, plus all the other places you have been adding it. Actress, murdered, wife are all concrete statements... You are dead or not. You are a wife or not. First rock star is subjective, it is also only one person's statement and in a very vague reference. Gulf News never had circulation higher than 3,000 until 1984. Angel
You're Lebanese?? I love the Lebanese!!! I know that Lydia was a DJ for a Lebanese radio station, but I don't know which - I'll find out and get back to you on that. I know that she was never a member of the band Zed, but she may have done a cameo or two with them - I'll also research that and let you know. Pleasure making your acquaintance! :-)
Musician Biographer (talk) 16:18, 17 September 2014 (UTC)
I am glad to hear it. According to my research, the lead singer of Zed was named Carol. As far as which radio station Lydia worked at, I was unable to find any info on that. By the way, I am not the author of the WikiArticle on her, and I have unfortunately never had the pleasure of meeting her. But you're right that she appears to be thriving.
Musician Biographer (talk) 11:50, 18 September 2014 (UTC)
I have made some presentation fixes, mainly repetitions, overwikification, style etc. on Lydia Canaan article. A curious question though. I remember attending a couple of concerts by a group called Zed and they had as far as I remember singer called Angel as lead vocals. You mention the Equation, but was it a later development. Is Lydia that same Angel or not. Or was Angel one of the artists and she sang during the Zed concerts? I also remember if not mistaken that she did some radio work as a presenter probably on Radio Mont Liban (RML) with Jihad el Murr or with Radio Pax with Walid, one of the two, but I may be mistaken. werldwayd (talk) 01:05, 16 September 2014 (UTC)
- Yes I am Lebanese Armenian, but presently reside in Montreal, Canada for almost 15 years now and have acquired the Canadian citizenship as well. It was so nice to hear Lydia was doing so well after these many years. werldwayd (talk) 23:08, 17 September 2014 (UTC)
- Yes Now I am absolutely sure. The Zed singer was Carol. Thanks for refreshing my memory. As for Angel, I am positively sure she was on a radio station for a while. In any case, many thanks. Incidentally Lebanese Canadian singers seem to be thriving. I can mention Karl Wolf, Massari, K'Maro, Kristina Maria, Mark Masri, rapper Omar Moallem, Patrick Gemayel (of Chromeo) and there are others as well. werldwayd (talk) 12:17, 18 September 2014 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Islamic state (disambiguation)
A tag has been placed on Islamic state (disambiguation) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G6 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an orphaned disambiguation page which either
- disambiguates two or fewer extant Wikipedia pages and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic); or
- disambiguates no (zero) extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.
The Days (Avicii song) page
Hi Werldwayd, here's FilBenLeafBoy, Thank you very much for your help on The Days page! (^_^)FilBenLeafBoy(^_^)(Let's TALK!)
- Anytime my friend. This will be one of the easiest ones to revert and save from deletion frankly. Also thanks to your efforts in establishing and defending the page against deletion. On this occasion, I dedicate to you songs by a French singer of Italian origin called Nyco Lilliu. I just love this singer although nobody established a French language page for him even after I established English page. He sings in French but also in Italian... For example: "Tu Ed Io Più Lei", "Dimmi perché" and so on. His brother is also a famous singer called Pierrick Lilliu. Here are the two in "Comme un frère" meaning like a brother.... His latest is a cover of Laura Pausini called "La Solitudine"] The two brothers are pretty well-known in France but not in Italy. It would be a great favour if you could establish a small Italian page for Italian-French Nyco Lilliu based on what I have in English for him. I know it will be difficult to defend even in Italian pages but it is worth it. He has a very important main role as Frère Tuck in Robin des bois the French version of Robin Hood in 2013. Here is his main song "Le Monde a Changer" sung here with M Pokora and Caroline Costa. Only if you have the time that is from my English article Nyco Lilliu. werldwayd (talk) 20:52, 16 October 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you for your answer! As soon as I can I will try to create a page about Nyco Lilliu, Thank you very much. (^_^)FilBenLeafBoy(^_^)(Let's TALK!)
- Many thanks. Much appreciated. Now The Day is saved and it is shortened to The Day (song)... For Nyco Lilliu, here is another Italian song of his "La mia canzone" werldwayd (talk) 19:26, 30 October 2014 (UTC)

I think better are his fx "Melody", "Broken Angel" or "Boro Boro", "One Day". It should happened. Maybe you are interested in more? You can do Arash discography article. I do featured list on Polish Wikipedia pl:Dyskografia Arasha. This is easy to translate by only tables. Please remember also about Wikidata, many articles are exist outside English Wikipedia. When you have any questions I will answer and I hope I can help you. Eurohunter (talk) 12:06, 9 November 2014 (UTC)
I think Basshunter version should be separated such as on Polish, Spanish, French and Norawy version. Persian version is about original version and should be cennected with separated original version on English Wikipedia. Eurohunter (talk) 12:34, 9 November 2014 (UTC)
- I have now created a page for The Early Bedroom Sessions after listening to some of the earlier materials from The Old Shit and The Bassmachine. werldwayd (talk) 14:14, 9 November 2014 (UTC)
- I recommend you listening all track from this album and also next albums:) What are your first impressions after listening? Eurohunter (talk) 06:24, 11 November 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for following on my edit on Arash (singer). This prolific Swedish Iranian artist is proving that he truly deserves the fame he has earned in Europe, the Middle East, South Asia, the Far East and the entire Persian diaspora (North America, Australia, Sweden etc). Collaborations with Shaggy, Sean Paul and now T-Pain is just another indicator of his international appeal. I added charting in Netherlands and in Belgian Wallonia on main page of Arash which I had missed originally, plus I have now established a brand new page for Superman (Arash album) and for his definitive hit "Temptation (Arash song)" which until yesterday was just a redirect page to his album, but now is a stand-alone article. Again thanks for your encouragement. werldwayd (talk) 03:03, 9 November 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks very much for your contributions and corrections on Arash which was a great help. I remember it had started as entertainer, but then changed to singer. Now that we have a page for Temptation, I dedicate to you an Afrikaans version of "Temptation" which may be new to you. It is in Afrikaans and shows how far Arash's music has gone from the South African cover boy band Hi-5 called "Versoeking". Staying very honest to Arash's song, they add a musical interlude to it starting at 2:25 until 2:45... Hi-5 incidentally have a great number of cover of Eurovision sobngs and they are in Africa... It adds quite well to the Russian version by the girl band. Thanks again. werldwayd (talk) 01:51, 11 November 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, I heard quite a few of the tracks actually knowing that these were from his earlier materials going back to 1999 and even further back. Sure his tracks from the LOL album and onwards are more known, but there were real good songs on The Early Bedroom Sessions as well. Of course me I was concerned that we didn't have a page on the Bedroom Sessions in Wikipedia, so I tried to close that gap. Listening to the Basshunter tracks was an extra plus for me creating opportunity to get to know more of his songs. What struck me was that many of them could be played even today with great effect even after passage of so much time like 15 years on them. They also tend to make me happy and strangely more motivated and excited. werldwayd (talk) 06:41, 11 November 2014 (UTC)
- Hi! Maybe you known similar artists/group to Basshunter? You think Arash album have chances to going on the lists? I think no such as "One Day". Maybe you known why this happened? He neeed more labels? Eurohunter (talk) 20:56, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
- Arash's "One Day" is going back to the very old formula of almost all his great songs being with Elena and Rebecca Zadig.... Although a relatively newer track, it certainly feels like old material to me. I love the video done in Iraqi Kurdistan (Erbil)... It is gorgeously breathtaking, but nothing done in Persian will succeed these days, me thinks... Plus it has just too much "processed" music and autotune for Arash's voice. Now that's very sad. He has a good voice. But that's terrible, specially his autotuned parts. The last big hit of his was the very catchy " She Makes Me Go" with Sean Paul. Not very big in Sweden, but huge everywhere in Europe. For Sweden I think the most that can succeed in these days is strangely enough "Doga Doga" with Medina with a mixture of 4-5 languages but yet prominently Swedish, a language he hasn't used much in his songs. So it is certainly an achievement and has uniqueness being a "Swedish hit". It is dancy and a ready international hit with cute nods given to anglophones, francophones, hispanophones, arabophones and a definit Swedish tribute. For labels, of course Warner was better and basis of all his many successes. This album felt flat frankly, but I love him. He should sing for Sweden in Eurovision. Look how great he was for Azerbaijan with "Always". He could do the same for Sweden as well... Perhaps if he had kept Doga Doga for Melodifestivalen, it would win to represent Sweden with an international song adding possibly some Persian sentence into it as well as reference to his origins. So a song in 6 languages!!! But such a shame they put it early making it ineligible for Melodifestivalen. Perhaps another song with Sean Paul will do magic... werldwayd (talk) 21:35, 16 November 2014 (UTC)

Hi! Why not red link? This is potential article which should be linked is some articles. I created him on Polish version Wikipedia. Eurohunter (talk) 15:57, 1 December 2014 (UTC)
- I will see your article in Polish and try to create an article here. This was just a preliminary creation for later development... Anyway I discovered it just today as an entry in the Belgian Ultratop chart and I am listening to the song for the first time as I am writing the note to you. LOL Notice also that I added the song in the listing Meltdown which is a disambiguation page. werldwayd (talk) 16:05, 1 December 2014 (UTC)
- Now I've worked some on the article Meltdown (Stromae song) and added links everywhere on pages of all the artists involved... Now it is ok as a stand-alone song article although I suspect all the songs from the soundtrack album will chart. werldwayd (talk) 18:05, 1 December 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks! This isn't new. De facto this "Merci" from Racine Carrée with additional vocals by other artists which In my opinion are wrong, they are unnecessary and not do not match this song. Eurohunter (talk) 18:09, 1 December 2014 (UTC)
- Why this? Eurohunter (talk) 18:14, 1 December 2014 (UTC)
- I have corrected that. First I thought it was about Cesaria which is a geographic location. Now I have reversed it to a small "c". But you could have done it yourself. LOL About whether all these artists should have been included in "Meltdown"... Well, I think in all fairness, soundtrack singles have a life of their own. The popularity of the film will no doubt give Stromae a great exposure with "Meltdown". Many in the United States despite Stromae's fame in Europe do not know him at all even with "Alors on danse" or "Papaoutai" or despite them. So this song will serve to increase Stromae's popularity in more places and inclusion of massively known artist like Lorde or others like HAIM or hip hop artists like Q-Tip and Pusha T will further push this into more recognition for Stromae as well, since he is now the main artist on this track. So in that sense, I think its good that all these artists are featured there. By the way, for me, I just couldn't stand Hunger Games 1 and left the film early before it finished. Catching Fire I didn't bother to see, nor will I see Mockingjay 1 or Mockingjay 2. I'm totally out of it with most big-budget multi-million pointless films that mean nothing to me. I have same opinion of the Harry Potter series and haven't seen even one of those, same for The Twilight series of which I saw just the first one and I detested it and was bored of it so much I never came back for the follow-ups. So all this hype is meaningless. But I am happy for Stromae. I forgot to tell you, but I met Stromae in Montreal and talked to him for a minute or two in HMV Montreal, a big music store here. He was doing a promotion. The only thing I regret is that I couldn't have a photo with him... And this was some time back. Plus I saw him live performing near Place des Arts metro station in Montreal with a few songs. He was fabulous... See here for his performances [2], [3] [4], and here inside the metro station [5] I like Stromae so much.... so this article about "Meltdown" was a pure joy to create thanks to your insistence for which you have my gratitude werldwayd (talk) 18:55, 1 December 2014 (UTC)
- It is right but It so sad artists can't be poppular only bacauyse he isn't American or singing in English. This situation is good from promotion perspective but not always from music. From films I love Hong Kong especially with Jackie Chan it is Shinjuku Incident, series of Police Story or other One Nite in Mongkok. These isn't global hit with billions box office but these make special atmosphere and are very addictive when I can say this. Eurohunter (talk) 20:07, 1 December 2014 (UTC)

Help!
Hi Werldwayd, they are trying to delete an article, Mayada El Hennawy, even though she is a super famous old-school Arabic songstress. Can you save it? I made the article simply to mirror the other versions of it that exist (namely the Arabic version [[6]], so she is a legit songstress but I just don't have the time or resources to improve it because I have finals this week. Help please! Moester101 (talk) 06:43, 15 December 2014 (UTC)
- Khayyi Moester101. Colleagues proposed deletion of Mayada El Hennawy because it was a one-liner and the reference given a commercial download type site. But why wonder? Can you imagine English Wikipedia doesn't have pages on Riad Sunbati, Mohammed al Mougy either which I discovered today, so we have a long way to go... In any case, kermal ouyounak, here a revamped fully referenced article of Mayada El Hennawy. Yuri Mraqqadi's article was also bound to be deleted, then I intervened because I love so much his songs "عربىٌ أنا" and "المرأه العربية", for me great songs of his. On this occasion a song for you: Canadian Pakistani singer Irfan Makki in "Mabrouk" to celebrate saving the article. ... All the best werldwayd (talk) 18:33, 15 December 2014 (UTC)

RedOne's photo
Thanks for adding the photo of RedOne. But there is a request now to delete it from the Commons which you can find here. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:RedOne.jpg
You know Wikipedia and its affiliated site like Wikimedia Commons etc have strict policies regarding copyright. Is there any way you can address this before it is too late? Are you the one who took the photo. If you are contact me so that I help you rectify the way it is uploaded and save it for use. Or do you know the actual photographer that can be contacted to provide his own approval? If nothing is done in this regard, the picture is doomed and will be removed very shortly. That's why I kept the original cropped photo taken by the actual person who appeared with him in the photo. We cropped the photo to remove the other non-related person and now we have that photo as a result... When your photo is removed that will return in the infobox. Regards werldwayd (talk) 21:35, 16 December 2014 (UTC)
Hello, Mr. Werldwayd!
You shouldn't have taken the photo down, because even RedOne himself would love me for replacing the previous one that's probably taken with Nokia N70's camera or even worse. I have a direct contact with the communicating manager, and he approved my editing. Isn't that enough, sir?
I'm a perfectionist, and I don't like it when I see something that even the owner of the biography wouldn't like. I bet he's not pleased since the one who published this biography in the first place has missed some important details that prove RedOne more successful. Don't you think the actual photo is too shabby? I'll tweet this to RedOne right away, see if he could approve. After all, it's his Twitter profile picture.
Regards, — Preceding unsigned comment added by AhmedAnssaien (talk • contribs) 23:50, 16 December 2014 (UTC)
- But I am not the one who took the photo down. On the contrary, I kept it and wanted to avert this happening. I was appealing to you the utmost to provide authorization so that we don't arrive to what we arrived. Commons actually deleted it itself, with no intervention whatsoever from me. Here is what that page looks now https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:RedOne.jpg The one who had downloaded that file didn't intervene in time to prove his authorship and Commons deleted it. When I noticed the infobox with no picture whatsoever, I had to replace it with the only one existing as a cleared photo, the one you object to as "shabby". You have to understand that copyright prevents us from using unapproved photos including the one that you were using. Plus that your specific photo does not exist anymore, so how can we use a non-existent photo in our files? You say: "I'll tweet this to RedOne right away, see if he could approve. After all, it's his Twitter profile picture." To that I say amen. By all means... Now you referring the matter to Nadir would result in a very good resolution of this matter in terms of copyright clearance, as he can provide the needed copyright documentation in a way that brings also the photographer's approval and clearance even if an officially approved photo of his. By all means do that, as I think he and his professional photographer would clear this matter and then put on Commons properly and allowing us to use it. By the way, if you think the "shabby" photo is inappropriate, be my guest, remove it. Perhaps a infobox withy no photo for now is better until this can be resolved.
- Now to the second part of your message: You say: "I have a direct contact with the communicating manager, and he approved my editing. Isn't that enough, sir?" No khayyi Ahmed, it is not enough. We have absolutely no way of knowing he did approve. And even if he did, it is not a criterion for approval. For one, it is far better that a "related party" is not actually involved in any way in editing a page he is directly related to. As to your statement: "I bet he's not pleased since the one who published this biography in the first place has missed some important details that prove RedOne more successful." Really? You are saying this because you simply don't grasp how Wikipedia works. First there is no one person who published the biography. Here are the contributors: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=RedOne&action=history There you will see all the contributors. Yes I am the main one there and had the most in developing the page quite extensively but surely not the only one. Wikipedia is a collective effort and there is no one biographer. Anybody and everybody can edit. Just like you added a photo, you could add any edit substantiated by references and amend it for the better. If there is any such semblance of not presenting a full picture of the artist, you can amend it yourself or anybody for that matter, through a user name that you have or anonymously if they don't want to sign in with a user name. I am curious, just what exact "important detail that prove RedOne more successful" can you mention and we don't have. Just mention one specific item or 10 items or 20 items or whatever. A generalistic comment like you did that it is "not comprehensive" or downgrades his success does not convince me at all. Of course no page is comprehensive until one more knowledgeable person adds to it. But then it's not comprehensive either, until a third adds more details. But then its not comprehensive but with a fourth edit and on and on. No one owns the page either, neither an editor or the subject himself. On the contrary as the main editor, I sincerely think it is quite comprehensive as compared to many other producer pages we have. But it can get better by your and others' contributions. Spend an hour or two and make it better. As for me, I just tried my best... and keep on trying, particularly for an artist I care really too much about ... and has made hundreds of hours of research to find things and add to it... If its still ot enough, you think, so be it. In case you want to address to me in private rather than through the public talk page, you can e-mail to werldwayd@yahoo.com and continue your comments there. I'd be delighted to hear what we can add, or better do it on your own werldwayd (talk) 00:38, 17 December 2014 (UTC)
RedOne's photo
Hi, there! It's okay. Change of plans. I won't do it. Thanks for taking down the picture. Even watchful and loyal of you to the Wikipedia community. I didn't mean anything bad when I replaced the picture. I only wanted RedOne to have a fancy photograph in his biography just like the rest of the celebrities. I apologize again for any inconvenience. Regards, — Preceding unsigned comment added by AhmedAnssaien (talk • contribs) 00:29, 17 December 2014 (UTC)

Hi! I see you removed this image from this article (diff). Is there any particular reason or you just made a mistake? Vanjagenije (talk) 13:03, 25 December 2014 (UTC)
DYK for Lady Hutton
On 26 December 2014, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Lady Hutton, which you recently created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that a group of Swedish businessmen spent more than $2.5 million to renovate the Lady Hutton? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Lady Hutton. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, live views, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page. |

Diamonds
Hi Werldwayd! Thanks for adding this cover into the article. However, I have some issues with the content. You know how the article is a featured one and I often maintain it and take care of it since it's one of my proudest work I did on Wikipedia, the cover misses a lot of references. You don't have a reference for the release date, also we only put one release date in the infobox, if there are more we create a release history table. I tried to search for release dates and found only this (December 30, 2014) which is not eligible cause it's an Import and not an actual release. I hope you will have more luck in sources, otherwise we can only make it a song, and not a single. — Tomíca(T2ME) 18:19, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
- I understand your concerns about Diamonds (Rihanna song) article. This is after all one of the featured articles and do understand your concerns. Of course, we do need references and all for all additions owing to the featured article status, and I will try my best to add references for every fact I have added. But the Salvat version of "Diamonds" is highly significant as it gave a whole new life to the original Rihanna track. Probably by "imported" item you mean this is a non-American version, meaning imported to the States. For the September 19 release date online, it was done by Sony Music Entertainment none other See https://itunesvn.com/38918-josef-salvat-diamonds-itunes-plus-aac-m4a-single-2014.html and has a different cover art http://www.endocrine-cancer-center.com/2014/11/josef-salvat-diamonds-itunes-plus-aac.html It was also released on Columbia Records the same day September 19, 2014 (ref Columbia GBARL1401157). The song charted also in the UK a fact I had ignord before. Now it's added to the charts history. This increases the version's significance and notability.. See: http://www.officialcharts.com/artist/_/josef%20salvat/ fro UK position. That's why I said Columbia (Sony) in the infobox as well after. The actual CD was released by RCA (ref RCA 88875058452 (Sony) ) It is only natural that songs now have 2 release dates, one online and usually a little bit later the actual physical CD. But if absolutely one date has to be maintained as you confirm, then it should be September 19, 2014 and I have amended the edit so that one date appeared in the infobox.
The Salvat song has had its own offshoots which I didn't include as I considered as non-notable. But check for interest the single "Diamonds: Tribute to Josef Salvat" at https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/diamonds-tribute-to-josef/id944969505 This was released by Sammy Taylor on Nov 24, 2014 on DTT Records.
The live Josef Salvat version which I dedicate to you is here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDEoC3Xr-fY . I also dedicate to you as well the fabulous Sony ad https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V_DT-mg_3IA It is very strange they didn't opt for the Rihanna version though and used Josef Salvat... Probably because of the unique characteristic of the Salvat version and there decision created all this extra interest in the song. I will work to add as many references as possible in everything I have added. I absolutely believe Salvat version will also chart in the Hot 100 USA Billboard Chart soon... werldwayd (talk) 19:12, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
- @Werldwayd: All the sources for the release that you pointed are not reliable. Sony and RCA work together so there is no need for pointing in the infobox which label released which version you should just write them. I hope it charts in the US, although I hardly believe the song will beat Rihanna's version. I have heard the song and it's not much different than the original. I guess they used his versions cause basically was free lol Sony label didn't pay Sony for sure! And if they wanted to use Rihanna's they would have to pay a well amount of money to Def Jam since it's released on that label. And be free to add whatever you think just be sure you use reliable sources. I will maintain all the edits. Cheers! — Tomíca(T2ME) 19:17, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for your comments. But feel free to make amendments to the new section I don't mind and don't want to jeopardize the featured article status of "Diamonds". If anything needs to be removed, feel free to do so. I don't mind really. By the way, it is a great achievement to have an article featured for a day as despite my many edits, I have never ever had a single article that received the featured status. werldwayd (talk) 19:34, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
