Goalpokhar II (community development block) is an administrative division in Islampur subdivision of Uttar Dinajpur district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Goalpokhar and Chakulia police stations serve this block. Headquarters of this block is at Chakuliahat.[1][2]
Geography
Chakulia is located at 26°01′17″N 87°57′09″E / 26.021351°N 87.952492°E.

Demographics
As per 2011 Census of India Goalpokhar II CD Block had a total population of 291,252 all of which were rural. There were 150,125 males and 141,127 females. Scheduled Castes numbered 64,877 and Scheduled Tribes numbered 17,647.[4]
Literacy
As per 2011 census the total number of literates in Goalpokhar II CD Block was 108,675 out of which 63,920 were males and 44,755 were females.[4]
