Nintendo Technology Development (or NTD) is a Washington-based hardware focused R&D group for Nintendo that was founded in 1996. The group primarily concentrates on creating future hardware technology and researching North American–based technologies.

Nintendo Technology Development focuses on the creation of various software technologies, hardware tools, and development kits for first-party use and third-party licensing across Nintendo platforms. Several side projects and unreleased prototypes are commonly linked to this Washington-based subsidiary. NTD is also responsible for some low-level coding, including prototype Nintendo 64's built-in for airplanes and hotels.

NTD also co-designs most console hardware with the Nintendo Integrated Research & Development division lead by Genyo Takeda.
