Release
The Moto E was released on the 13th of May, 2014 in India, the United States and the United Kingdom. In India, it is available exclusively via online retailer Flipkart.com, who was earlier the sole retailer for the Moto G and Moto X.[7] Flipkart offered discounts to customers on covers, as well as a free microSD card and ebooks worth ₹1000 to customers purchasing the phone on the inaugural day.[6]
Motorola simultaneously launched a campaign titled Goodbye Dumb Phone to highlight the features of the phone and promote it.[8]
