Jorebunglow Sukhiapokhri (community development block) is an administrative division in Darjeeling Sadar subdivision of Darjeeling district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Jorebunglow and Sukhiapokhri police stations serve this block. Headquarters of this block is at Sukhiapokhri.[1][2]

Sukhiapokhri is located at 27°00′N 88°10′E / 27.00°N 88.16°E / 27.00; 88.16.

Jorebunglow Sukhiapokhri community development block has an area of 385.98  km2.[2]

Demographics

As per 2011 Census of India Jorebunglow Sukhiapokhri CD Block had a total population of 113,516, of which 86,637were rural and 26,879 were urban. There were 56,232 males and 57,284 females. Scheduled Castes numbered 6,415 and Scheduled Tribes numbered 34,088.[3]

Literacy

As per 2011 census the total number of literates in Jorebunglow Sukhiapokhri CD Block was 86,004 out of which 46,323 were males and 39,681 were females.[3]
