Ultimate Fight Night 2 was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on October 3, 2005. The event took place at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, and was broadcast live on Spike TV in the United States and Canada. The broadcast drew a 1.6 overall rating while going head-to-head with USA Network's World Wrestling Entertainment in a heated ratings battle. [1]

This event also marked the first UFC appearance of Thiago Alves, Jon Fitch, Brandon Vera, Spencer Fisher and Brock Larson.

Preliminary card

Goulet wins by TKO (doctor stoppage due to cut) at 1:05 of the third round.
Fitch wins by unanimous decision.
Fisher wins by submission (triangle choke) at 4:43 of the second round. This bout, although preliminary was aired after the Dewees vs Leben fight.

Main card

Fickett wins by submission (rear naked choke) at 4:28 of the third round.
Vera wins by TKO (knees) at 3:22 of the second round.
Leben wins by submission (armbar) at 3:26 of the first round.
Loiseau wins by TKO (cuts) at 4:15 of the second round. Loiseau earned a title shot against champion Rich Franklin at UFC 58 with the victory.
