UFC 98: Jackson vs. Evans is an upcoming mixed martial arts event to be held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) on May 23, 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Due to Frank Mir's injury, the orginally slated UFC 98 main event Frank Mir vs. Brock Lesnar to unify the UFC Heavyweight Championship, has been postponed. This rematch will likely take place on UFC 100.[1][2] The news broke during the broadcast of UFC 96 that the bout had been canceled and will be replaced by Rashad Evans vs. Quinton Jackson for the UFC Light-Heavyweight Championship.
