UFC 165: Jones vs. Gustafsson is an upcoming mixed martial arts event to be held on September 21, 2013 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.[1]
Background
The main event is expected to be a UFC Light Heavyweight Championship bout between the current champion Jon Jones and #2 contender Alexander Gustafsson.[2][3][4] Co-featured on the card will be a rescheduled Interim Bantamweight Championship bout between the current champion Renan Barão, and former WEC Bantamweight Champion and top contender Eddie Wineland.[5] The pairing was first planned as the headliner at UFC 161, but was scrapped from that event after Barao was sidelined with a foot injury.[6]
