Transnistria does not issue visas; however, visitors are required to obtain and fill out a migration card (scanners are installed at some checkpoints to automatically fill them out).
The validity period is 45 days with the possibility of extension for a period not exceeding 3 years.[1]
In addition, citizens belonging to the members of the Community for Democracy and Rights of Nations may also visit Transnistria without a visa. Foreign citizens may enter using an internal passport or an ID card in lieu of a passport.[2]

Admission restrictions

From April 1 2023, free entry into the territory of Transnistria is prohibited for citizens of  Ukraine of military age (from 18 to 60 years inclusive) male and female without the permission of the Ministry of State Security of the Transnistria.[3]

The prohibition does not apply:

1. Citizens of Ukraine who have already entered the territory of the Transnistria after February 24 2022.

2. Citizens of Ukraine who are traveling to their wives, husbands, parents, children or siblings living in the territory of the Transnistria (kinship must be documented: Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate, etc.).

Citizens of Ukraine may obtain a permission on the basis of an electronic or written application sent by the receiving party (citizens Transnistria). The permit is issued within 10 days (actually within 3 working days).
