The Pie Face chain was founded in 2003 in Sydney. It predominantly sells various type of pies and coffee.[1]

In November 2014 Pie Face entered voluntary administration, facing legal action both in Australia and the US.[2][3][4] The firm secured financing in December 2014 and will continue trading. However, its focus will be shifted mainly to wholesale and retail sales.[5]

The chain has also operated in New Zealand under a franchise agreement since 2013, although several stores opened there have since closed down.[6]
